The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

I've been lurking here as a guest for a while, but now we're considering taking bitcoins for our game (Eufloria), if only for a short experiment. So here I am Smiley

You made Eufloria HD?  Shocked
Neat, I've played that on my cell phone, I got it from the HIB. Small world.

Indeed.

I suggested that we look into doing a Pay What You Want deal for Bitcoins so I've been researching them for that reason.

Now need a nifty/trustworthy web guy to set up the merchant stuff with BitPay or whatever.

Hi, I'm David. I started mining a couple of years ago when I first heard of bitcoin, lost interest and stopped. Starting following it again a few months ago with all the recent news and value going up. Interesting times.

please do so! and get a post Smiley
don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

relax take it easy and smile. Cheesy

Hi! I'm Oskar.

I'm a new, small-time miner. Right now I'm mining off of two machines to make some extra cash.

One machine is an antique running a GTX 550 Ti (with free electricity though) and the other is running a shiny new Diamond 7970. I'm hoping to expand into at least a second 7970 within the next couple of weeks and maybe an FPGA or two after that depending on how things go in the market.

I'm more or less here to figure out what sorts of hardware to run and how to set things up.

It's getting hard to ignore Bitcoin these days.  I'm just learning about Bitcoin so I hope this is the place to have my questions answered.

Just got into mining. started off mining bitcoins but they come much too slowly so switched to litecoins.
Thanks to Tacotime I've been able to get up and running fairly easily.  I still haven't figured out how to tune everything for max hasrate though.

I've been hearing Max Kaiser scream on about bitcoin and then Clif High really pushed it hard; so, here I am. I've been obsessed for the last couple weeks learning about how/why this happens and I am fascinated. I was finally able to buy some coins today!! But, I won't get them for a week, at what price?.

I am a moderately tech-savvy type living right here in the Valley; however, my real world persona is as a massage therapist (somebody has got to keep the slingers going). So, I am a bit dazed by some of the more technical language thrown around by the brilliant minds here in the coiniverse.

I would love to have my own personal tutor, who would help me decipher some of the secrets. I would be willing to tip generously, or trade it out in actual bodywork, you know, where a human touches another human (strange custom, I know).

If you are in/around San Jose, Ca and want those aching shoulders gone...

My friends call me Kathy, you can, too!

Just saying HI so I can post in the rest of the forums. I've been observing this for awhile, honestly never thought it would have gone this far... by a long shot really.
