1  Economy / Gambling / Re: How To Access Sportsbet.io or any kind of gambling without VPN on: February 22, 2022, 12:37:26 PM
My country banned sportsbet.io, Binance.com, and any kind of gambling website. so how to access it without proxy?

1. Open Chrome browser setting
2. Go to Security and Privacy
3. Select security
4. scroll down to advance then select provider, I used 1.1.1.1 (cloudflare)
5. then you will be able to access the blocked browser. especially sportsbet.io and Binance.com

This is like gambling on top of gambling.hehe

You are better off trying some other website which is allowed in your country.

Thats not correct. They have been charging a flat 0.5424 mbtc for withdrawals for close to a year now while I haven't seen them pay this much on the blockchain for the past 10 or so btc withdrawals which I made across various months at various times when the mempool was relatively empty. At maximum, I have seen them pay close to 0.39 mbtc for couple of my withdrawals. I was still okay with it, but recently I am seeing them pay only 0.11 and 0.13 mbtc which is way less than what they charge their customers. At the time I placed these withdrawals, btc price was over $ 50,000 so it does pinch me that while I paid 1.0848 mbtc to cloudbet while they have paid a meagre 0.24 mbtc on the blockchain and pocketed ~0.85 mbtc ($42+) to themselves. I did ask for the refund over discord and to their live support but with no luck and I let it go but when I see them mention "we subsidise transaction fees" is when I thought I will share my experience.

I have started using litecoin for my betting and really dont care if they now charge me 5x of the transaction fees they pay. Haha!!

The best option is to always make bets with Litecoin, no matter how much we are used to betting with BTC, many times we think, uff I bet with BTC to earn more BTC also the BTC is going down in price, when it becomes an uptrend it will be a lot more juicy my profit, but we do not take into account when we are going to withdraw funds, and that is where it hurts, because the commissions are usually large.

When we bet on LTC we no longer think about the withdrawal fee, only that our way of thinking must change, I understand that there are many of us who are BTC maximilists, but in the game you have to take into account those details.

Yes, thats what I have been doing. I bet in ltc only on cloudbet and they have been able to process my withdrawals in a few hours. So basically, I can ask for a withdrawal everyday (if I am winning...lol). But having mentioned all of this, cloudbet is really superior as far as user experience & odds is considered and I am happy with them on that front. The only wish I have is if they have more promotions like the other books!

I don't quite believe this, I have seen you overcharging customers for bitcoin withdrawals and I am not speaking about one transaction. It has happened to me multiple times. I have put all the details in the "Withdrawal Comparison" thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5333602.msg56949184#msg56949184 . I am willing to share the transactions over DM if needed.

I would appreciate if you can make it right for me as I have been your customer for over 7 years and still play daily.
They might have charged according to the network congestion in the Bitcoin network and i assume this because there were times in the past several months that the transaction charges jumped multiple times and when you are trying to withdraw during those times you are bound to pay more.
If you could compare with the average charges during that period in the mempool with the charges cloudbet charged then i hope you will have the clarity.

After almost 48 hours of begging they returned the money to the user on the site but put me in a new surprise and made the withdrawal fee 4 times more expensive for $ 50(it was 8$).
Hope this time the withdrawal request will processes smooth and im done with this website forever.

Hi ChickenLegs,

I'm very sorry you've had the experience you did. ETH gas price has skyrocketed in the past few days, and your withdrawal was initially broadcasted promptly, but with a gas price that ended up being too low to get it into a block. We had this issue for a number of customers, and I expect other operators and exchanges did too.

We've had to drop those transactions and increase the withdrawal fee, as the gas price is much much higher.

I know $50 is brutal and I wish we didn't have to, but it isn't up to us - those are current ETH gas prices. As soon as gas prices fall, we will drop our withdrawal fees.

FYI the withdrawal fees are only to cover gas price - in fact we subsidise it.

Sorry about your experience and I hope any future experiences with Cloudbet are more positive.

Leandro

Cloudbet has been charging 0.00054240 for more than six months now, which is pricey but I am still okay with that, the problem I have is while they deducted 0.00054240 from my account they paid only 0.00011139 (in April) and 0.00013536 (in March) on the blockchain and similar in previous months.
You mean that you can see on the block explorers that the paid network fees were only 0.00011139 BTC and 0.00013536 BTC respectively? That would mean that they use a portion of what they charge the players to pay for the mining fees, and pocket the rest as their own profit or withdrawal fee.

Yes, they seem to be pocketing the rest and this is a recurring problem. I have seen this issue in my past 6 or so withdrawals. I asked their support and even reached out to their Discord manager but with no luck.

I have seen other casinos/books return the difference to the customers if they overcharge customers, I reached out to their live support and discord many times but with no luck.
What did they say? Did they acknowledge that only a small part of the withdrawal fees go to the miners, or are they trying to conceal that fact? There isn't anything illegal in doing that, but they could lower it at least.

They havent exactly clarified and we can guess why that could be the case Wink But their standard response is try playing with other coins...LOL...and I would be like when you adding Litecoin/Dash/TRX...they would be like it is in the pipeline...Finally since past weekend I am able to bet with Litecoin and will use that only from now on...Withdrawal still takes couple of hours unlike stake and sportsbet which is instant

Very well done to the OP.

Since the topic is regarding withdrawal fees, i just wanted to share my experience regarding withdrawal fees at cloudbet. I have seen other casinos/books return the difference to the customers if they overcharge customers, I reached out to their live support and discord many times but with no luck.

Now I have started using litecoin, they seem to be still charging 2x of what they pay on the network, but since it is couple of cents I dont care :-)

P.S. Cloudbet is still my goto book for most of my action, I signed up in 2014 & have over 5K bets with them :-)

Yes, keep the giveaways coming. Only one suggestion is that the giveaways should be for 1-2 days, here we need to wait for the entire week but maybe thats just me!
