What is a Cryptocurrency? Cryptocurrency Guide for beginners and learners, including Bitcoin guide.

This guide says that bitcoin has very limited supply , plus after halvening comes, its going to get worse for new supplies. With its rarity,  it is already regarded as gold 2.0 by many. Given its popularity as the world's most famous coin, we shouldn't be surprise that it will have a good run in the market and probably dominate for a long time.

I am not worried at all that it will become centralized or it will kill the rest of the crypto market. There will always be a market for other cryptos and blockchains too , because for one reason, bitcoin cannot develop smart contracts and DApps.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Replace Gold! Here's Why... on: September 07, 2019, 02:43:21 AM
Overtime I've researched what has made gold desirable as a store of value.

Additionally I've come to understand the limitations of Gold, and why I believe Gold will be seen as the go to store of value less and less going into the future.

We're living in an increasingly high speed, digital world, where people expect instant access to their funds and their stored value.

Gold cannot and will not be able to offer this to future generations, who will not accept the limitations of Gold.

I believe Bitcoin meets the and surpasses many of the attributes offered by Gold.

For this reason I think Bitcoin will grow to become the primary store of value for people, and will begin taking market cap away from Gold.

I've created a video below where I list the attributes that Bitcoin has, that Gold simply does not have, and why Gold cannot compete with Bitcoin.

I believe proponents of Bitcoin have been too soft on Gold. Gold is severely limited.

Please watch the video and let me know what you think. Thanks

I don't think bitcoin will send gold to oblivion. Both bitcoin and gold will co-exists together. There will be a market for both of them.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin get banned worldwide? on: September 07, 2019, 02:33:49 AM
Bitcoin, the crypto currency, has become huge in popularity over the recent years.

One of the main features i like about bitcoins is its transactions are anonymous. But that makes me wonder if a time will come when it will be banned worlwide. It has started in many countries.

It is not possible to block a fully decentralized crypto. Anyone in the world can mine blockchain and move forward its transactions. It does not need any middlemen or organization to operate. So how can the government ban? Who do they ban? The most they can do is ban exchange (provided that 180 nations agree to do it together, not possible), and users have peer to peer transactions options. Then they will need to cut off the world's internet including 3rd world countries like venezuela, africa etc. They couldn't even dictate all nations to ban cryptocurrency exchanges, hence how can they ban bitcoin, simply impossible.
