Can someone explain what is different about XC and Cloakcoin methods of anon tech now? Both seem to be releasing same day, july 7th. What will set cloak appart from XC?
So will XC also be fully anon decentralized? I'm not finding much information comparing the two, is there one better than the other or both work the same way?
Cloak has a 5 million max supply and is going to have a full ecosystem for anyone to conduct business as they see fit. We could see this coin go well beyond the $100 mark. I'd just be happy to see it get to the $1 mark first. Cloak is holding strong at 26-35cents a coin without any major PR. You should be happy you can stockpile right now.  Only reason why it isn't $1 already is people are accumulating, just take a look at the richlist. There's more people approaching the 100k mark which is what we need for this coin to go the double/triple digit numbers. Having the majority of the coin in the hands of weakhanded day traders makes the coin weak and susceptible to outside market manipulation. Anyone that has 30-100BTC in this coin isn't going to dump the coin at the 1st sign of FUD. +1 almost wondering if I should drop all my BTC fro CLOAK and wait it out. granted i dont have 20-100 tho... |

For something that appeared quite simple on the surface, modding the wallet took an unexpected amount of time.
Implementing CloakTrade has made the team allot wiser about things that do and don't work, which is going to be very helpful for all future wallet mods, of which many are planned.
We can now fully concentrate on PoSA (which we will try everything we can to have it out before 7th July  The date is being moved back a couple of days due to the extra time spent patching CloakTrade).
However this week, as mentioned before, you'll be able to view an extensive whitepaper for CloakMarket : Decentralized p2p market (where cloakcoin will be the currency of choice).
We are also in talks about creating our own VPN service: CloakVPN. It will most likely become part of our encrypted services package, in which automated subscription payments can be made direct from the CLOAK wallet in order to pay for such services (another first perhaps).
During development of these new projects there will be plenty of dev videos along the way to keep track of progression.

Personally i think the low price and exposure is a great thing right now. less pressure on devs and less risk of whales dumping on it. Like early Bitcoin we are more worried about seeing new technology turn out well, rather than seeing how much profit we can make over night. Litecoin is another great example, great improvements to a great thing, just as much transaction volume as BTC, but yet the price hasnt gone anywhere, Granted their project wasnt as ambitious as CLOAKs right now. When its time, it will get there all on its own. |

Honestly it's best if it doesn't get media coverage until the bugs are worked out. That way the devs can work without the pressure that inevitable FUDders will create. Luckely this is a moderated thread. Yeah it's moderated but some fudders are just relentless, they don't care about discussion they just want to watch the world burn as long as they can sell a few matches. Keep in mind that FUD doesn't stay in a thread, it's like a sickness that goes around. Devs don't need to deal with that, at least not until they finish the PoSA come July. FUD accusations have been used so many times in these altcoin threads, it's the boy that cried wolf fallacy. If you dismiss everything as FUD, how would you know when a genuine concern or problem is actually valid? People were being labeled trolls and fudders when they warned that SilkCoin was having internal problems with it's dev team. Those that dismissed it as FUD are now bagholding a coin that is half the value. Sure, resort to name calling and disregard how easy it is to add TOR to any coin. It's more of a gimmick that people seem to think is hard to implement. It is not just TOR cloakcoin will get, if you would follow this coin then you would notice that we have a very active dev and this alone you wont find everywhere. Does the tor connection act as a relay, or exit relay? The added traffic for the tor network may cause problems? Using wallet clients as relays would help immensely. .
