1  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Error message "Error Response Invalid signature" on blockchain.info android app on: December 07, 2015, 04:35:28 PM
Solution!

I had this issue when not setting a password on the wallet.

It wouldnt take my pin - all though id get a success key[0] toast notification and it would bomb me out.

After checking through the phones files I found /data/data/puki.blockchain<something>/shared/<file>.xml

In there was a GUID - which was the identifier.

After trawling the source code I found that if no password set the default is:

If you set no password on your account and just a pin by default the password is:

PIN + PIN + PIN

That's not to say 3003 + 3003 + 3003 = 9009.

Go to the website. Enter in your identifiyer.

For your password (pin in this example is 3003) enter in:

300330033003

and your in! Just worked for me. Blockchain support are useless.

I'm still working on a client build in my spare time - primarily keep track of checkpoints and difficulty recalculations.

The football betting website is also working! Cheesy

I've setup a permanent seed node -- it's doing some testing at the moment and I'm finalizing some changes to the seeder code.  When both are up, I'll post the DNS names, and make updates to the repos I have.  The updates will help any NEW builds AUTOMATICALLY find peers and hosts without need for a xencoin.conf file to add nodes and connections.  The first phase of stabilizing the network as far as connectivity is almost complete.

Next will be beta testing of the client updates for a release.

Good work that man!

thecarnie - I got a VPS farm ready to go online.

Do you think its worth using the existing wallet, my build with checkpoints up to approx 860k or yours?

Cheers boss.

I agree with this and all your other points 'carnie. The 46 node is my own box. Here to stay, I also have others available for permo use approx 4 + 1 capable of 8-12 VPS boxes depending on ram requirements. I have a test on 86.163.167.12:4334 that synced first time around with the 46 node. I'll get another running with your build tomorrow and see what occurs if thats OK? Anything I Can do to help let me know. BTW message on github noted Wink

Sounds like a plan.  Double check the repo -- I will be committing the checkpoint update tonight to the source - I'm about 60k blocks from needing the TX number I need for that file.  So far, other than the shitton of orphans that are in the chain, the client seems to be able do download.  I used your 46 node to seed my client via config file and it took off like a shot.  IRC seeding has been removed from this client as well.  If we get a good seedbox or two up, we should be set.  I also recommend changing the default ports soon before we 'officially' package up binaries for the client.  For some reason when looking in my xenseeder logs and even in the client logs, I see TONS of litecoin clients (by port) coming in and out of my connections -- maybe we can tone that down a little by moving ports.  Not sure yet.

If you're interested, I'm most likely going to register a domain name - if you have a little room anywhere, and I can point a subdomain over to you for a xenseed node to run -- that will help a lot.  We can lock in the address in the client and it will have a seed-node to start with.  As we can add a couple more, we'll code them into the client as well.  I'm about a month out from spinning up another server for my hosting company (16 cores/10tb/64gb ram) and I'll be putting a VM or two on there to keep coin things going for everyone.

I had some financial setbacks over the last couple months and they albeit stopped me from getting a different coin off the ground -- so for what it's worth - after we get everything stable again, I accept donations Smiley

I found a worldcoin client totally fucked my chain at one point -  hte block explorer picked up an extra 40k blocks and it all went a bit wrong - so +1 on the port idea. Also just about to PM you a report. its a large html file but worth checking.

drop me a PM tomorrow around 11am GMT if possible, I'll also going to PM you a report on something I Found. Not sure if its a concern or just usual behavior.

*NOTE* - Anyone having trouble connecting on the 46. node please PM me your IP address and outgoing port. My security system is a touch sensitive!

Had to restart the client at 539k - max orphan issue (10,000+) I think it was - the client stopped accepting blocks.  Restart and it's up to 580k.

I propose new diff algo in the future to prevent pool attacks that create tons of orphans.  Fast block times like this create problems in the end when mining on a weak network.

Ah didnt realise someone was working on it or I wouldnt have rebuilt the wallet with checkpoints.

LOL, I wasn't.

Months ago, when XNC still had some hashpower on it's network, I tried to jump in, offer code patches, and so on - to support the coin.  The developer in a nutshell told me to go fuck myself, then continued to abandon his coin to the point where his domains are gone - there is no seed nodes left.  There's barely two permanent nodes out there that everyone is using to keep the blockchain on life-support.

I didn't want to step on toes by any means -- only tried to give back to a coin I was mining.  After that episode, I deleted my github repos, nuked the updated source off my local dev server and said fuck it.  I've worked on another coin for several months - but it's not ready yet.  In the meantime - you guys are life-supporting a coin - that is literally a mirror fork of LTC code from 0.6.3 (give or take with a couple hacks by the dev of XNC)...  With testing, the code could be brought up to current LTC levels, and some checkpoints added to the client.  If a fork was voted for, a better difficulty algo could be implemented that would protect the coin from 'mining pools' -- but again -- I nuked most of my updates after being slapped in the face by someone who apparently deliberately trying to tank their own coin...

For you guys, I would put in updates -- make the code available on Github, etc -- I can build linux (debian jessie) clients, and windows clients - can't help you on a mac client though...

Sounds great to me. By all means use the checkpoint file in my little build.

It probably in terms of financial return a total waste of time, but my time costs nothing when I'm not at work so why not eh. I work on Deb Jes too. I don't mind implementing anything you have on Trev and Brockers nodes. I think they have a pool up too as it goes. Almost at block 900000 too. Time for another checkpoint methinks...

Community takeover yet?

MAKE YOUR SHITS WITH ANOTHER COIN!!!

You'll wake him up again  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Lol, to put it nicely, fuck him  Cheesy

Well, then what do you guys want patched in the client -- then the other issue is you have to convince the exchanges to update or the changes are pointless if they require a fork.

Trev and Brockers have a few nodes up and running and both accepting transactions on coin-e.

I rebuilt the wallet with checkpoints up to 800k+ out of one mofo of a blockchain. I've requested a fork of the project on github otherwise i'll just host the source and people can compile themselves Smiley

You wanna be adding these nodes mate:

46.32.253.168
86.163.164.201

.201 seems to be a bit up/down

Defo getting into coins-e though. Also block explorer here:

http://mining.se4.biz:2075

I'm using those nodes and I made a small deposit to coins-e last night, but the balance never appeared.  My wallet is showing I'm on block 830k+.  Any ideas?

Delete your blockchain. heh. Dont know to be honest.

No one seemed to do anything so I jumped in.

wallet with checkpoints added - but you'll have to compile it yourselves.

http://mining.se4.biz/tools/wallets/Xencoin/Xencoin_TT_Update.tar.gz

I built a fresh debian box, compiled from that, downloaded blockchain etc and bam, straight into coins-e. Same goes for an existing windows wallet. just deleted everything bar wallet.dat, ran it over night. and its working. Smiley

Just made a small deposit to Coins-e:

http://mining.se4.biz:2075/tx/b7a0918439676131122a0232cd8071049a720a65275d985e6cc2d13bc2cb9b35

Coins-e says:

17-Jul-14 - 22:34:04 - b7a0918439676131122a0232cd8071049a720a65275d985e6cc2d13bc2cb9b35 - deposit - confirmed - 2323

Confirmations are rapid at present!

I have the resources to set up around 10 or so permanent nodes for Xencoin. I love this little coin I really do - no idea on how to set up nodes though. Any suggestions please? Smiley

There's life in this little coin yet I reckon. Keep on mining Xeners!

Me and a couple of mates got pissed off and a bit bored of no block explorer working so had a play about and set this up:

http://xnc.se4.biz:2075

We also set up a pool too. Keeping the Xen alive

DEVS: Keep up. Some of us like this little coin! Don't let it die out.
