We need to attract attention of Elon Musk, and ALL BE GOOD Uahah good luck with that, i will be really impressed (and rich) if it happen. Anyways, Nobody know the future What are some good reasons why Elon Musk would be interested in cryptocurrency and Emc2 specifically? Just curious. Short version, Elon Musk's views on the current Paypal situation, that alone would get digital currencies to his ears. EMC2 because of it's science component and way of looking to the future, something he does as well.

I'll try that but I think it is the same thing as -reindex.
Update: it is working now, thx.
-reindex doesn't redownload the blockchain, it only reindexes the database. Usually when people encounter your specific problem, it's due to some corrupted block (which can be caused by several reasons on the user side) @etoque, We have no ETA, everyone is working on foundation related projects in their own spare time, so it's impossible to give an ETA, at least at this stage.

Someone explane me what is AMA? looks like Mintpal volume and price go up good
AMA stands for "Ask Me Anything" Its basically an question and answer session. Worth mentioning AMA is a reddit registered trademark in case someone skimming the thread has some idea about it. Beyond that, an AMA is a perfect occasion to educate yourself about certain things you probably wouldn't find answered directly on the internet. During last Epoch's AMA some of our BTalk community members showed up there and asked Walter brilliant questions related to the mechanism of cancer in relation to EBV (Epstein-Barr Virus) which he took time to answer in a professional way!

Yes where is this press release? What happened with mend therapeutics? Not updating your community is never a good idea.
Please understand, we're a limited team doing work in our own spare time. We are not gaining anything from this yet we are investing more than our spare time, we are investing our emotions. Things are moving at their natural real world pace, we can't provide results yesterday like people on the internet are used to. We have a plan, we have goals, each day we're taking small steps towards it, as you've probably noticed, the current website outgrew our needs extremely quickly thus a redesign is needed to fit the Foundation better. I am working on that as fast as I can within the time I have. We are present there, https://www.ic.gc.ca/app/scr/cc/CorporationsCanada/fdrlCrpDtls.html?corpId=8826854&V_TOKEN=1397506661635&crpNm=&crpNmbr=882685-4&bsNmbr= for some reason the search doesn't find us anymore.

Not depend on the rate of BTC. eg Darkcoin grows Please take a look at this response: price isn't looking good now. Does it have anything to do with the wager in the few threads back, that the price of 400 satoshi will decide who's the winner? Hopefully the guy is not dumping so he can win the bet
That bothered me quite a bit. In the future people do not respond to those trolling the thread in such a way. Do not feed the trolls, and do not wager with them. With that being said, I don't think it is the reason the coin is down. There may be a combination of factors including end of the month profit taking, and people gambling with cinna. Either way, we will be sending out news with regards to the pledge amount today sometime and we have a fundraiser in the works that will likely extend beyond the einsteinium community. It's indeed a combination of factors, our volume in trades has moved to CINNI, thus leaving the market open to manipulation, which has happened to some extent, the rest of it just being inertia from people wanting to buy low.

Truth is, right now, none of the coming hashing algorithms actually solve anything, they're just PR stunts to help the coin lift off faster. Do you know of all the algo's out there, and are you keeping up with all the coins communities? I think it's quite something to say that everything out there that is new is merely a PR stunt.
I am up to date as humanly possible with the hashing algorithms currently present in launched coins. Solution - the act of solving a problem and not postponing it. Please keep in mind that you also haven't stated what you consider the problem to be nor what the solution provided is(for what problem). Things I made perfectly clear in my previous stated personal opinion. This will be my final response directed towards you or this issue, I've taken time to check your post history and I came to the conclusion based on your way of arguing that you nitpick on small things for the sake of escalating or furthering the argument without factual elements.

Well that's a vote for "no innovation". I'd love to hear you are still mining at xxx Kh/s against one guy mining at 250 MH/s and dumping at 500 then 300 then 150 satoshis.
I'd like to make something clear here. Copying a code from another fork and implementing in your own rebranded coin isn't innovation either. In order to innovate, certain problems that need solutions that cannot be solved(effectively or efficiently) using current ways of doing need to arise for them to call innovation. Truth is, right now, none of the coming hashing algorithms actually solve anything, they're just PR stunts to help the coin lift off faster. And a more to-the-root-of-things way of looking is the following: cryptocurrencies are a new technology that poses new problems so the presence or lack of ASICs to a coin ecosystem has yet to be proven in anyway helpful or detrimental. Without proper data we cannot hope to provide a proper solution. (Disclaimer: this is my own personal opinion and it DOES NOT represent the opinion of the team)

How did that happen, I thought I upgraded properly. I've also been sending and receiving coins without a problem.
I can only speak for myself, it usually happens to me when i force quit the client or if I run it under different permissions. I should note I'm using OS X. Redownloading the blockchain fixes it.

So I opened my wallet a few minutes to find this message at the top: "Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade."
My wallet is 'catching up' but has been processing block 69757 of 70016 for like ten minutes.
I already upgraded when we had to. This is what shows up when i getinfo
 { "version" : 80701, "protocolversion" : 70003, "walletversion" : 60000, "balance" : 814413.63465592, "blocks" : 69757, "timeoffset" : -5, "connections" : 8, "proxy" : "", "difficulty" : 18.32253950, "testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1394165864, "keypoolsize" : 101, "paytxfee" : 0.00000000, "mininput" : 0.00001000, "errors" : "Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! Any thoughts?
You seem to be on a bad block chain. Delete and re download.

When will the wallet have a fix for the Heartbleed SSL bug?
You're assuming the wallet has that bug. The Heartbleed is present only in rpc-ssl protocol, which isn't used by our wallet client, also, RPC ports are not exposed to the internet by default. The Android wallet is not working a lost my coins where is the Update?
The Android wallet has been updated for a while now, please reinstall from the Google PlayStore.

*cough* I think you mean http://chain.einsteinium.org/ *cough* @ardent_observer, have you sent the coins post fork to an address that was on the new fork or on the old fork? Either way, best if you redownload the blockchain. I see you're a newbie here so I must assume for safety's sake that you don't know how to do that. If you're on windows: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application data\Einsteinium (XP)
C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\Einsteinium (Vista and 7) If you're on OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/Einsteinium/ Linux: ~/.einsteinium/ From that folder, with your Wallet closed, delete the folder "blocks", then open your Wallet again and wait for it to finis syncing.

Watch they're forking the algo to SHA256 Maybe x13? We're actually working on reverse engineering Einstein's neural network into a working algorithm that uses atmospheric static coupled with quantum states as an encryption key. It's currently in alpha state, but hopefully, the guys at NASA can give us a hand with the atmospheric data so that by the end of May we have a beta product ready for implementation. We're 95% sure that our algorithm will be truly ASIC resistant!

I think there is a node on the P2P network that is on the old fork, just started up today I think.
I first noticed that there was a chunk of blocks found that didnt make it to my wallet.
I then noticed the block numbers are all over the place recently:

ATTENTION!Hashrapid Pool HAS NOT confirmed they have updated their wallet! Please move your miners to another pool ASAP! before the fork happens! If any of you can get in touch with the hashrapid admin, please do so! Same situation for the following P2Pools:http://p2pool.crunchpool.comhttp://emc2.gr2pool.euhttp://coin.iptron.netThis pool has confirmed the update: http://p2pool.thepeeps.net The rest could not be traced! We're sorry for this, but unfortunately the pool maintainers have not responded to our mails and they have not taken a proactive stance!

Thanks for responding, I'm trying to get this 1.1 mac wallet updated asap. I have a 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB ram, running latest mac os mavericks 10.9.2. I'm not sure what to do if I can't get my wallet upgraded in time for the fork. I have backed up my wallet keys at least so hopefully I will not lose my coin. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer me.
Don't worry, as long as you don't make transactions with the outdated wallet after the fork you won't lose coins. You could forget about EMC2 and update in a month and your coins would still be there. Does this apply to mining transactions? Good question! Once the fork block is reached, the new code will be active, this means your wallet won't be able to sync to the latest blocks. So, any transactions you received after that block number, won't appear/be confirmed until you update your wallet.
