1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: February 18, 2021, 01:40:55 PM
Starting out with cash..? Does journaling truly help ?

Just don't get swept up by the hype and don't be swayed by FUD, that's the two of the most important things to avoid when trading Bitcoin or any crypto and most importantly, aside from those two, don't sell based on your emotion. Once you've entered a position, you should exit that position based on whichever strategy you have in place. If you hold a crypto (ex. BTC, ETH or LTC) and these crypto falls in value, you must evaluate the situation first before selling your holdings and yes, journaling really helps.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did YOU start trading in bitcoin? on: February 17, 2021, 10:46:19 AM
Hello everyone!  Grin
I am a starting player at the BTCitcoin trading world- haven't bought any yet.
Just a young man looking for investing his money from high school, and I don't know where to start! Smiley

How did you start trading in bitcoin?
How could I do that too?
Do you have any tips for begginers?

 Huh

Happy 2021 -Tzutzik

Here are the few tips I can give for before you start buying Bitcoin/Crypto:
[1] The first and the foremost thing that every newbie should do is to study entirely about Crypto. Getting to know all the details about cryptocurrency and blockchain is important when you are investing in it for the first time.

[2] You should understand the transaction process; The very first time you create your Bitcoin wallet, you will be given a private key that can be used to access your data. As a beginner, you must understand that all the information related to your money will be available on the public ledger, and nothing is going to be confidential. Only the username and the password of the Bitcoin wallet will be e kept as private information. So, you must not be surprised if the transactions that you are getting displayed on the dashboard of the public ledger.

[3] Choose the right Bitcoin exchange; You’ll create an account and enter a payment method. At reputable exchanges you’ll be asked for information such as your bank account details or a debit or credit card. You’ll then need to prove your identity with a driver’s license, ID or passport. After you’ve been verified, you can start buying Bitcoin with your chosen payment method, transferring it to your personal wallet and watching with greater interest as its price fluctuates.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favourite 3 coins right now? on: February 15, 2021, 02:39:53 PM
Hi, I'm just wondering what your favourite 3 coins would be to invest in right now? I have BTC, ETH and DOT but would like to consider other options.

The three you've mention was currently on the top 5 of coinmarketcap. But here's my Top 3 coins/tokens that you might consider investing/trading: BTC, ETH & LTC, I just added Litecoin coz' the two you've mentioned are my favorite too. Why Litecoin? coz' like Bitcoin, Litecoin is decentralized. There's no centralized authority, building, or headquarters for it. The currency flows freely on the internet. Like almost all digital currencies, litecoins are also produced through a process called “mining.” And the simplicity of Litecoin mining could actually steal Bitcoin miners. It's true that Bitcoin is worth significantly more than Litecoin, but most Bitcoin mining is carried out by supercomputers. The algorithms have become too hard for everyday miners to crack. This means that many miners who are tired of struggling over Bitcoin may end up transitioning over to Litecoin...
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing and Trading Strategies. on: February 13, 2021, 07:20:57 AM
I guess there's many ways to do this. Let's say you invest £500. Your goal is to 10x you investments and happily pull out.
You invest in 5 coins. £100 each.

You track your investments and see that on your £500, you now are overall 100% up and see you have made £500, so £1000 in total.

Would you pull out £500 or would you leave it all in to grow to your 10x?

Any strategies here I can get to know?

That strategy is old buddy. You should try Futures trading. Good exchanges like Binance & KuCoin already have that. You should check BTC, ETH & LTC pairs on KuCoin as they have good trading volumes and low trading fees there.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Dogecoin reach 1$ soon? on: February 11, 2021, 01:18:28 PM
The dogecoin has already pumped up twice with the help of popular persons like Elon Musk, now that many people are trying to invest in Dogecoin, expecting to have another madness on doge. So what if, Elon Musk and other popular experts stopped supporting this meme coin, is there are a possibility that Dogecoin reaches 1$ on its own?

Well, like what I've said, this is just a meme coin, no utility, no usage but what do you think will be the realistic value of Dogecoin for the upcoming years?

I'm new in investing Dogecoin and I'm one who's riding on the FOMO rocket and I guess the madness for DOGE won't stop coz Elon Musk and his company Tesla invested more crypto (BTC). He'll continue to make contribution on Dogecoin's price no matter what happen coz' he's one of the early investor of that what so called meme coin  Grin
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long can this BULL run last?? on: February 10, 2021, 02:37:49 PM
Just a curious question.
How long can this BULL run last??
As there will be a huge correction inevitably.

Would love to hear different strategies or exit plans or Hodlers
Which coin should we buy now?

Guidance from old Experts would be appreciated!

Every after BULL, expect the huge correction coz' sell pressure always comes. It depends on how good coin/token to hodl or short trade. If you're waiting for the correction before you'll set your buy orders I would suggest you to buy these 5 coin/token on CMC (BTC, ETH, LTC ,XRP & DOT)
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Elon Musk/Tesla buys $1.5 billion in bitcoin, creates another hype for Bitcoin on: February 08, 2021, 01:58:51 PM
Here are the few key points about the news:
  • Tesla announced in an SEC filing Monday that it has bought $1.5 billion worth of bitcoin.
  • The company also said it would start accepting bitcoin as a payment method for its products.
  • CEO Elon Musk has been credited for raising the prices of cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, through his messages on Twitter.

Two weeks ago, Elon Musk added the hashtag #bitcoin to his Twitter bio, in a move that helped to briefly push up the price of the cryptocurrency by as much as 20%. Two days later, he said on the social medial chat site Clubhouse: “I do at this point think bitcoin is a good thing, and I am a supporter of bitcoin.” Bitcoin prices surged to new highs Monday following Tesla’s announcement, reaching a price of at least $44,200. Tesla shares were up more than 2.5% in premarket trading. Tesla warned investors of the volatility of bitcoin’s price in its SEC filing.

Where do you guys think Elon store/trade his Bitcoin? Does he have a plan on supporting other coin/token or a cryptocurrency exchange aside from Bitcoin & Dogecoin?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Report ETH for SCAM because $80 fees on: February 05, 2021, 12:02:41 PM
We should make a thread in Scam Accusation forums because ETH steal $50 on transaction fees for simple token transfer.
Some transfers in MetaMask show as $120.... WTF!

Meanwhile other projects as KoinOS have $0 fees and Uniswap will run just fine on it too some day.

I predict ETH crashing again from $1500 to $80 like with last crash. ETH is an expensive scam coin that is the AIDS of crypto.
Remember all the scam ICOs on ETH? How many billions people lost?

And now $50 on token transfers??

All ETH ever did was ruin crypto. Its not a good project except for the billionaires who bought it for $0.25.

Not even Paypal ever had such horrible fees as ETH.

I rather pay an old man with a mule $50 for token transfer than pay $50 on eth.
Can also just call an UBER to transfer your token, much cheaper than ETH!

So what are some alternatives? What platforms can UNISWAP also run on easily
with low fees?

I already say KoinOS but they are very early (like buying eth for $0.25, still UNDER
1000 holders!!) but what are some other projects? Preferably around $100m market cap or lower?

When ETH reached another high of above $1,600 last Feb. 4, the growing price has been steadily driving transaction costs higher too, but it was started in early January 2021 when Ethereum broke its previous record of above $1,400. The latest spike in gas fees has had a massive impact on a number of decentralized finance projects, with some DeFi transaction fees surging above $1,000 which is kinda crazy Cry Also the fees on major decentralized exchanges like Uniswap and SushiSwap surged to abnormal levels of between $40 and $75. I transferred my ETH temporarily on CEX and trade it there, so far the gas fee is lesser compared to others I've tried.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling LTC for XRP? on: February 03, 2021, 11:40:18 AM
Hi everybody,

XRP is currently very low (€ 0.20). I have some Litecoin coins. Bought at the beginning of January 2018, so considerably less. For the amount of those LTC coins you can now buy a lot of XRP. My question: do you expect XRP's rise to be higher than LTC's? I can easily see XRP for 0.20 go to € 1. So 5x. While this growth seems more difficult to me for LTC?

I guess doing the opposite which is selling your XRP and turning it into LTC might be the better idea? Coz' LTC price movement is more profitable than XRP. XRP price fluctuated in an un explainable way and then dumped again so don't expect too much on XRP right now coz' they didn't solve their SEC issue yet.
10  Economy / Exchanges / Re: best place to trade BTC on: February 02, 2021, 10:45:27 AM
Easy, secure, low-cost to trade crypto. Coinbase just provide services in certain countries. Who can name some . Thank you

Since 2018, I trade and hodl most of my coins/tokens especially BTC on KuCoin.
[1] They offer low trading fees and can become even lower if you have some KuCoin Shares (KCS).
[2] KYC is not compulsory unless you'll withdraw above 5 BTC a day. But KYC is for your protection too incase you've forgot your log in credentials.
[3] Most of the top tier altcoins/DeFi can be found on KuCoin Exchange.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: xrp pump on: February 01, 2021, 01:50:33 PM
hi

i saw last days that xrp going to be like dogecoin pump

what you think about that?
many groups and website run now for this event like this https://tokendrop.xyz/

what you think is good or bad for crypto market?
I think XRP being on a bull state is good why? Because everyone we'll see the true meaning of being a good crypto coin/token. Even top cryptocurrency exchanges like KuCoin launched a trading campaign for XRP(for the second time). I'm not that sure if this was affected by the influence of WSB but I think XRP will rise once again because XRP community are doing their best for XRP to keep up on the market.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin vs eth on: January 29, 2021, 01:24:56 PM
A year ago I bought 1 BTC and 20 ETH
I have very high hopes for eth and was wondering if I should transfer all or some or none of that bit coin into eth.
It’s dumping right now but I was thinking since there’s a discrepancy in the price might be a good time to get in
Let me know ur thoughts
Thanks so much
If you bought both BTC & ETH a year ago, and still thinking if you should transfer those BTC into ETH then maybe you missed the new ATH of both coin/token? If you still holding both and getting FUD because it's on the verge of correction, what you should do is keep on holding those 'til another ATH has come.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: January 29, 2021, 12:03:56 PM
Starting out with cash..? Does journaling truly help ?
One of the most important thing you need to avoid when you're trading Bitcoin or any crypto is "Peer Pressure". Not marching to the beat of your own drum is one of the beginner mistakes every crypto trader should avoid. By the time enough people know about something for you to feel pressured to get involved it's already too late, the tipping point has already been reached. Sure, you may be able to ride a high for a few days or even a few weeks, but it's a good sign a bubble's about to burst when the people in your life who know nothing about crypto are talking to you about crypto.
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you using a trading bot? on: January 29, 2021, 10:28:40 AM
I'm using BitUniverse's Grid Trading Bot, and I think it's really good to buy low and sell high everyday for me, cause the market is fluctuating recently. More importantly, it's totally free and supports 20+ exchanges like Binance. Any more bots are you using? Please recommend.  Huh
I'm currently using KuCoin Trading Bot, you can access it on KuCoin App for me it's very easy to use and they have most of the trading pairs in their spot market. They also offers Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) trading on their trading bot.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOGE To The Moon on: January 29, 2021, 10:04:42 AM
Today I saw the price of DOGE very high on the Binance exchange, I immediately sold all the DOGE that I have. After I found out why the DOGE price hike was due to tweets from WSB Chairman and Elon Musk. I wonder. Why do famous people's tweets have such an effect on the price of an asset?
And now Elon Musk's bio on twitter was edited with the word #Bitcoin. I wonder if BTC can go beyond its ATH because of that tweet.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I get rich by trading on: January 28, 2021, 10:00:44 AM
Yup it may be possible but many of
want's to be millioner in a day.
Only less than 10% of the people really makes money by trading.

Every field has it's competition but in a greed, people join crypto to make their portfolio 10x.

But in most of cases they loss their hard earned money.
So,
Only we ourselves have to decide that,
where we want to be..
In 10% people or in 90% people
I guess about 90% of people have the same reason why they want to get involve on crypto/stocks trading, and that reason is to become rich. There are different kinds of trading in crypto and for me, if you want to get rich faster you should try Margin or Contract Trading. If you have good capital then go try Grid Trading Bot or DCA. If you're looking for an exchange that have those kinds of trading I would suggest you to check KuCoin. Exchanges like KuCoin have a great trading volume of most major coins/tokens: BTC, ETH, XRP, LTC
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: You saw the BTC price WOULD YOU BUY!?............ on: January 27, 2021, 10:40:37 AM
You saw the BTC price this month increase, would you buy it and hold it for a long time? been hesitating when I want to buy  BTC today but before that.
I want to read opinions from you all if it is okay?

I hope you are an expert and doing this for a long time what would you say? buy? or not? also,

I already have BTC (just sharing).

PS: Don't judge me I stopped reading BTC and trading articles or pieces of information for almost years I only came back this December.
Till now I am learning again (will not stop) and want to ask you people who are none stop doing trading and buying bitcoin.

I have been giving opinions when it comes to selling or buying but when that time comes that is today I am going to buy it now I been hesitating.

So, I heard from one friend that it is a wrong decision when you people buy rising stocks value most likely to go down, is it different from bitcoin? is it right or wrong? I also made research but it's the opposite. Hope to get answers from real users because some websites I read also have comments but I don't trust it, it might be a bot or a scam.

Some will suggest you not to buy right now coz' the price of BTC is too high. They're just saying it coz maybe they bought their BTC way back years ago and made some good profit in today's price.

But others like me would suggest you to buy while you still see BTC below $50k price coz' we'll never know when is the next ATH, don't get FUD of corrections it's very normal.
If your planning to do day trading then wait for it to dump below $30k. Or If you'll just gonna hodl it and sell when your profit becomes 300% or more then I suggest you to buy BTC while you still can.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: That AI bot that can trade on my behalf without me making the trades on: January 25, 2021, 02:37:57 PM
There are actually a lot of trading bots that works perfectly fine with some people, such programs have increased in numbers since 2019. Cryptohopper for example is a famous trading bot, I've seen its name probably for 1000x already lol. But I love exploring and I've encountered more programs other than Cryptohopper like 3commas, Zignaly and Kryll.io - All are quite known in the industry right now.

Another trading bot has been launched this month as well, KuCoin's trading bot is the latest in my radar right now though I am still not sure how this program will play out. Well, the current price of ETH looks interesting and positive (see: https://trade.kucoin.com/ETH-BTC) I am happily making trades right now, some traders must be running theirs with ETH as well I am sure of that.

I'm a new user on KuCoin and I saw some of people on Telegram group talking about that trading bot thing. When I checked it using my Kucoin app, the minimum investment on most well-known trading pairs are too high, Some of it are 100 USDT in minimum. When I asked someone regarding with that matter, they say it will be fix soon. If the minimum is not that high I'll try to set trading bot for ETH or DOT.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Trading BTC / ETH and selected alts on: January 25, 2021, 01:21:40 PM
Hi, I was thinking of trading between BTC, ETH and maybe a few others such as DOT and ADA but the fact that most traders trade between BTC / USDT or ETH / USDT etc suggests that it's probably a dumb idea that will cost me money. The fact that I need to ask this question probably suggests I shouldn't try it but it seems to me that they go up and down in spurts.

For example ETH has just had a bit of a pump whilst Bitcoin is has been up and down so I've traded some ETH for BTC hoping that I can catch a raise from BTC whilst avoiding any potential correction on ETH. I was wondering if this kind of strategy is something that many people have tried and had much success with or had any bad experiences with?

If you're a hard trader or a daily trader I suggest you try grid trading bot. The alts you've mentioned have a great volume in every top tier crypto exchanges like KuCoin,Binance etc.

Also trading via grid trading bot is very easy now, you just have to set your bot on a good entry price and your money will be fine.

Btw here's the link if you wanna see how good the volume is for most of coins/tokens on KuCoin especially BTC & ETH:
BTC-USDT: https://trade.kucoin.com/BTC-USDT
ETH-USDT: https://trade.kucoin.com/ETH-USDT
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What are the factors you consider when trading alts on every crypto exchange? on: January 22, 2021, 02:58:07 PM
There are loads of cryptocurrency exchanges right now in the market which makes it hard to choose specially for newbies but ofcourse there are things you need to consider on choosing them..
First is the security, you need to make sure that your funds are secured when its on an exchange.
Second is the service, You trade and use their exchange 24/7 so the service should also be 24/7 incase some problem occurs and the exchange who always have giveaways/events and low fees .
The third one for me is the liquidity, the higher and bigger liquidity is,the better for you.. Since it will give you Better and Fair Prices, Market Stability, Quick Transaction Time and ofcourse a better TA which is important in terms of swing tradings.

Top tier exchanges are obviously still the best choice right? I mean, the trust is already there and a big community that can help you in case you get lost (for newbies) I was a literal noob when I invested on xrp last year and I was learning to trade. I got an advice to just get into top tier exchanges if I don't want to waste any of my time, so I decided to just start my trade with kucoin's xrp pair (for reference: https://trade.kucoin.com/XRP-BTC).

Top tier exchanges already got a decent number of volume in the market and I have tons of reasons to keep using 'em as well, I care mostly on how an exchange communicate with its community - It would be ideal if they have a 24/7 support to answer all my queries then the security comes second.
Upon reading some of replies, most of your answers have one answer in common which is volume and/or liquidity and I guess that's the most important factor to consider when choosing the right crypto exchange. And by the way, I already checked KuCoin last time coz' a friend of mine suggested it and I'd say that their menu's are easy to navigate and they also have lot's of campaign which I don't know how to participate yet. Cheesy
