This project at first seemed so promising... From 6321 satoshis to 2 satoshis? What happened? Dev abandoned the project? Inactive Community?
I thought that it was promising also, since a foundation and plans were already set in place to help promote and use NeuCoin on it's inception. The devs never abandoned it as far as I can tell, and even put up with a lot of flak. The ease of the dissolution shows proof of that at the moment also, (availability to withdraw coins, website still up, plenty of warning, resources such as wallets and availability of one's private keys if desired, etc...). What I did not care for was the appearance of the investers'/founders'/foundations' 2,900,000,000 NEU being in competition with the amount made available to the general public (100 million) in regard to staking, also, that if one wanted to remove coins from the growth accounts early, interest was forfeited. Interest being proportional to time spent in them may have been better received. They did a great job advertising and making NEU available though, really easy to try some digital currency. Hopefully the decentralization, along with the destruction of the "excess coins" will be positive happenings for those still participating.

how will the coins on trex be affected? Do we have to move those coins to personal wallets?
I believe that all depends on Bittrex, and what they end up doing. Hopefully they will continue to offer a place to exchange NEU. Here is a link in case one wants to see some info regarding the dissolution of the foundations, where to acquire a qt wallet, or how to download their private keys: http://forum.neucoin.org/t/warning-myneucoin-online-wallet-will-be-shutting-down-in-near-future/2785It does appear as if all is destructuring fairly smoothly so far, no big crash and burn (except for the price). I will watch this one and see what happens when true decentralization takes place. The centralization, with the foundations' many coins, with the appearance of competing with the amount sold to the general public seemed insane. This may give NeuCoin a decent chance of surviving out among the other decentralized coins, and in my opinion, the "faults" will now be fixed and in the past. You can also transfer your coins to POSwallet.com and have them stake for you while the dust settles.

It is good to see a block explorer where we can check addresses for balances.
This seems like something very important to ensure functionality/use of a coin.

Like predicted: NeuCoin Project update: Foundation to cease supporting NeuCoin services, destroy its remaining coins and dissolve itselfNearly 3 years after the NeuCoin Project was born, the founding team and the NeuCoin Growth Foundation have concluded that the Project’s plan to create a leading consumer-driven digital currency based on the premise of distributing tokens to all participants that help drive growth and adoption -- consumers, service providers, distribution partners, miners, developers, etc -- has proven unfeasible, at least with the current team, structure and resources. (...) http://forum.neucoin.org/t/neucoin-project-update-foundation-to-cease-supporting-neucoin-services-destroy-its-remaining-coins-and-dissolve-itself/2770 Edit: Kind of interesting/revealing is that not even such a disaster-update leads to a higher volume than currently 0.23833293 BTC on Bittrex. This could turn out to be the best thing to happen to NeuCoin in quite a while. The premine compared to the initial coins sold was insane, since I imagine that the premine was working in competition with others trying to mine or stake. They do seem to be "dissolving" quite fairly though. NeuCoin can join the ranks of many other decentralized coins out there now. Good luck to all.

Very nice on finding that block. I mine when I can, and am interested in seeing what happens with the block rewards/mining fees eventually.

Just a heads up that I need to turn off my solo mining for the weekend. Have been checking in to unstick the blockchain recently and will be back at it in a few days.
We might be able to help a little. BUN looks like a good match for a BARR exchange in January, and transactions will still work fine even if the hashrate isn't steady. Voting for January will be final by December 15th, and adding BUN should bring some extra attention to the market as well as the network. I saw that Bunn was the voted coin for exchange. Looking forward to see how this works out come January. It might be good to mix things up a bit and see what happens.

I could use some help. I have Bunnycoin beta v4.1 compiled from source running on the https://prohashing.com scrypt pool, and the daemon reports the following information: { "version" : 1000000, "protocolversion" : 70002, "walletversion" : 60000, "balance" : 55495.01747617, "blocks" : 657659, "timeoffset" : 0, "connections" : 18, "proxy" : "", "difficulty" : 0.16442408, "testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1434447345, "keypoolsize" : 101, "paytxfee" : 0.00000000, "unlocked_until" : 0, "errors" : "Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade." } The error concerns me. I think that the chain is synchronized, but I can't be completely sure. Could some one help explain whether this is even a valid error? If you look at the video on the bottom of the page, http://bunnycoin.org/videos/ it will show you how to resync your wallet. I believe that may be what is needed.

Guess I will keep a miner going and see what happens in regard to the block rewards/miner fees. The voting function is what really got me interested in BUNN. Thought that it was something very unique and possibly usable. Maybe even some kind of a start to vote on a blockchain in real world applications, a nice experiment. Speaking of Doge, that would be more interesting with a feature like that, considering all of the donation stuff that has happened there.

Somehow I was under the impression that after the block rewards decreased to 0-10000, that it kept going with that random amount acting as inflation and mining rewards forward. Kind of like Dogecoin. They are just so similar. Thought they both came from Luckycoin too. My assumption though. Maybe somebody, someday will put together a "Family Tree" of cryptos to see how they are related. I would love to see the info that shows the mining rewards stopping if I cannot locate it.

I will keep mining this if I can. It is a cute, little, non-intimidating coin. We have reached the end of the block reward reductions and it should go on now with a random 0-10000 reward per block forever. Might be fun to do giveaways on Easter, or at least giveaways to get people interested in cryptos. Something to play with and learn how to manage wallets, send coins and such at the least, and hopefully gain a little value.

I think all is O.K. there. It is like what happens in the video at the bottom of this page: http://bunnycoin.org/videos/My best guess is that my system communicates a little more slowly due to internet issues and this is a possible result, then a long time reloading the blockchain. Happens about once a month.

Checking in sounds like a good idea to me.
I try to solo mine this, but have a weak and slow internet connection and sometimes end up downloading a "bad block", then need to resync, which takes close to a week.
This last time, the resync didn't work and I have to do it again. On maybe day 5 now, but will keep trying.
There must be something I like about this cute little coin to keep doing this. Crossing my fingers.

I have noticed that I am the only one solo mining Bunnycoin again. I will do my best to keep some hashrate on my wallet but if I go down then the blockchain will get stuck at the next charity block.
Edit: You can disregard this message if someone were to help out and solo mine some BUN.
I like to keep a little mining rig going all the time for BUN, but had some wallet and internet (recurrent due to location) issues. Plan on getting mine back up soon.

what about that greek translation?
Hey KillerJoe, Glad to see you back. The deal is still there, translate the OP into Greek for the OP to use, to their satisfaction, and I will send you 300,000,000 BUN. It will be good to send BUN to somebody offering to do work for it. Thanks

Although the coin even looks like it has some nice features I don't really like the name.
I would like to understand why the name Bunnycoin...
The original dev liked bunnys and thought the name would be a good way to promote love, peace and charity. Maybe he also realized that even though bunnies may look all nice and soft, they can still get the job done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MHUlVIJy94

Yeah, I am replying to myself. LOL But it makes sense because I want to leave an example of what I meant when I posted last: Looks like my miner was down for an hour or so, just noticed that the blockchain wasn't moving so started the miner back up. Mined block #553619 in about 30 seconds and got the blockchain moving again. So my questions to the BUN community: Am I messing things up by mining erratically? Or am I just imagining that my hashrate has an impact? Happy to back off and let others have the BUN I would be mining if that helps. Thanks.
edit: meant #553620
edit 2: Or is this some other issue? I just noticed that I only mined 3 of the last 30 blocks since this post. Not really that high of a percentage. Maybe a solo mining thing?
If you go to the old thread you can read about this issue. Most miners use pools and most pools can not solve the charity blocks that happen every 60 blocks. If no one is solo mining then the blockchain can get stuck, even with a high hash rate. Thanks for the replies. Makes sense. Guess I will keep doing what I am doing and look forward to when the charity block thing is fixed.

@CryptoCoderz
I apologize for my words. I just wanted to give others confidence and didn't expect to hear someone's that it's dead coin.
Implement the KGW if possible or did you find other solutions? As less I see many other coins implement it so I think it's OK to bunny. I mined very little of bunnies. I just store some coins. But the transactions need to be confirmed by the mining. The 4 hours retarget is really too long if the big miners leave.
I have about 12 MH/s that I solomine for this coin. Sometimes I lose my internet connection and BUN seems to stall on the confirmations, when I reconnect, I start seeing blocks again. Is that what is happening? I mined about a billion or so for myself and plan on giving away what I mine from here on out somehow if I keep it up, but would it be better for BUN if I just quit mining if that is the case? I know that 12MH/s is quite small compared to larger coins, but might be a significant amount here.
