LMFAO! Still, this could be good to keep, just wonder who the bagholders are... I just sold my last billion so I am mostly out of Bunnycoin. I will no longer be maintaining the blockchain. BUN will need some solo miners to survive. BUN has been fun but it's time to run. Mining rewards are just too low and the interest seems to be gone.

Sorry to read that, The blockchain will need some solo miners to survive or it will get hung on charity blocks. I'll fire up some hash to allow bagholders to get their coins in/out or whatever... If we can keep it alive long enough ... we can look forward to the burn.

Checking in sounds like a good idea to me.
I try to solo mine this, but have a weak and slow internet connection and sometimes end up downloading a "bad block", then need to resync, which takes close to a week.
This last time, the resync didn't work and I have to do it again. On maybe day 5 now, but will keep trying.
There must be something I like about this cute little coin to keep doing this. Crossing my fingers.

"Bad Block" ? Sounds like a possible hardware issue, Is your system/hard disk OK?

I think all is O.K. there. It is like what happens in the video at the bottom of this page: http://bunnycoin.org/videos/My best guess is that my system communicates a little more slowly due to internet issues and this is a possible result, then a long time reloading the blockchain. Happens about once a month.

Just a heads up that I need to turn off my solo mining for the weekend. Have been checking in to unstick the blockchain recently and will be back at it in a few days.

We might be able to help a little. BUN looks like a good match for a BARR exchange in January, and transactions will still work fine even if the hashrate isn't steady. Voting for January will be final by December 15th, and adding BUN should bring some extra attention to the market as well as the network.

Steady hashrate is not the only issue with BUN. Without someone to solve a charity block, transactions will stop. I am checking on the blockchain from time to time and adding hashrate as needed to solve blocks. I am running 2 Mh/s and that should take care of charity blocks when difficulty is low. This setup is running on an old laptop and is not reliable and does go down. BUN will need more solo miners for the best network reliability.

I will keep mining this if I can. It is a cute, little, non-intimidating coin. We have reached the end of the block reward reductions and it should go on now with a random 0-10000 reward per block forever. Might be fun to do giveaways on Easter, or at least giveaways to get people interested in cryptos. Something to play with and learn how to manage wallets, send coins and such at the least, and hopefully gain a little value.

It looks like BARR is going to exchange for Bunnycoin in January. The voting isn't final yet, but that's what we're aiming for.

Not forever, only 1.38 billion BUN left to mine. My guess is a little over 6 months left for mining.

Somehow I was under the impression that after the block rewards decreased to 0-10000, that it kept going with that random amount acting as inflation and mining rewards forward. Kind of like Dogecoin. They are just so similar. Thought they both came from Luckycoin too. My assumption though. Maybe somebody, someday will put together a "Family Tree" of cryptos to see how they are related. I would love to see the info that shows the mining rewards stopping if I cannot locate it.

Potentials yes but currency of the future a big NO. Same way with Dogecoin even if it is much well liked.

As far as I know, only the transaction fees will be paid to miners after all "Approximately" 100 billion are mined. I have read that Bunnycoin is a clone of Memorycoin. It has a voting function that Dogecoin does not have, and 10% of mined coins go to the top voted on BUNNcha addresses.

Guess I will keep a miner going and see what happens in regard to the block rewards/miner fees. The voting function is what really got me interested in BUNN. Thought that it was something very unique and possibly usable. Maybe even some kind of a start to vote on a blockchain in real world applications, a nice experiment. Speaking of Doge, that would be more interesting with a feature like that, considering all of the donation stuff that has happened there.

I could use some help. I have Bunnycoin beta v4.1 compiled from source running on the https://prohashing.com scrypt pool, and the daemon reports the following information: { "version" : 1000000, "protocolversion" : 70002, "walletversion" : 60000, "balance" : 55495.01747617, "blocks" : 657659, "timeoffset" : 0, "connections" : 18, "proxy" : "", "difficulty" : 0.16442408, "testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1434447345, "keypoolsize" : 101, "paytxfee" : 0.00000000, "unlocked_until" : 0, "errors" : "Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade." } The error concerns me. I think that the chain is synchronized, but I can't be completely sure. Could some one help explain whether this is even a valid error?

I believe that may be what is needed.

Essentially that video says that I need to clear the blockchain and redownload. I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that, but it seems like the only option.
