1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Purchasing bitcoins – a profitable investment? on: December 17, 2014, 04:10:01 AM
To me, purchasing BitCoins is always a good thing; but I am always afraid; at the same time, when doing so. At times, you can even find interesting offers on non-bitcoin forums and marketplaces; but in order to transfer those safely, one needs a system that lets you trust a total stranger. BitHalo seems to be offering just that ( http://davtonia.com/halowiki/index.php?title=BitHalo_-_The_world%27s_first_smart_contracting_client ), but I am still not convinced. Any thoughts?
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin adoption slowing; Coinbase + Bitpay is enough to make Bitcoin a fiat on: December 17, 2014, 04:02:57 AM
I think that this slow-down is, in a way, a calm-down before the storm.

Many new services are actually emerging and seem promising - Bitcoin ATM's, marketplaces, even this strange new form of an unbreakable contracts where the two parties can securely trust one another - something you actually can't do with a real FIAT (It's BitHalo http://davtonia.com/halowiki/index.php?title=BitHalo_-_The_world%27s_first_smart_contracting_client ).

Whatever happens, Bitcoin is on it's way to becoming not REALLY a FIAT (if it was, noone would have even noticed it); but a currency used by more and more individuals; for more and more things.
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu has closed down on: December 17, 2014, 03:48:23 AM
In fact, BitHalo seems to be an amazing alternative to all those other trading platforms that eventually close down.

They are rather using a unique system; where both parties make a deposit; and only small amounts are transferred over and over again until the whole amount is properly sent.

At least, it looks a bit smarter to me...

BitHalo http://davtonia.com/halowiki/index.php?title=BitHalo_-_The_world%27s_first_smart_contracting_client seems to be doing just that; and even more. They even accept BlackCoin as an addition to the Bitcoins that you can trade in a smart way. Have you actually gotten any experience with them?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Finally, is BlackCoin legit? on: December 17, 2014, 03:27:26 AM
Hey guys,

You seem to really know a lot about this coin; which can be easily seen from the 1500+ posts in here. I am trying to learn more myself; and figure out whether this is legit or not.

It sounds a bit strange to be honest; but then there is some evidence here and there that supports the BlackCoin as an idea.

Even BitHalo ( http://davtonia.com/halowiki/index.php?title=BitHalo_-_The_world%27s_first_smart_contracting_client ); which I have used to trade Bitcoins with no risk whatsoever seems to also support only one more currency; and that is the BlackCoin indeed.

I am confused. What's your take?
6  Economy / Service Discussion / Trucoin - your opinion? on: December 10, 2014, 02:17:04 PM
So, what do you think of this new thing, Trucoin ?
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Trucoin?! on: December 10, 2014, 02:07:50 PM
Trucoin https://www.trucoin.com/ is the latest service I am trying to learn more about. They claim to be the FIRST properly-registered such. Really?! Has anyone tried them out yet for some advice?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / First legally-registered Bitcoin purchasing service? on: December 10, 2014, 01:52:57 PM
Yet another service I am looking into; which deems to be the first legally-licensed one for Bitcoin trading - and they say; it would be very fast too.

It's https://www.trucoin.com/. Has anyone tried it out yet? Honestly, I am getting tired sometimes with so many different services; yet sometimes all seem to be alike.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do you think that there will be also Altcoin ATM's? on: December 10, 2014, 01:46:57 PM
Do you think that there will be also Altcoin ATM's?

I was reading about the services offered by COL http://coinoutletatm.com/service/ and came to start thinking - would there be also altcoin ATM's emerging around soon; or no? It seems like a great niche.
10  Economy / Economics / Do you think Bitcoin ATM's will become the norm? on: December 10, 2014, 01:39:41 PM
I am wondering while reading some Bitcoin ATM services ( http://coinoutletatm.com/service/ ). What do you think, is this the future?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Would you normally trust a Bitcoin ATM? on: December 10, 2014, 01:24:26 PM
Hey,

I am wondering this myself. Is it a good idea to buy Bitcoins over a dedicated ATM?

I am currently looking at the options here http://coinoutletatm.com/

What do you think?
12  Other / Off-topic / Playing Bitcoin games to learn more? on: December 03, 2014, 06:00:18 PM
Do you think that in very general, playing a game that closely reassembles the Bitcoin theme could help you learn more about the currency and the specifics of trading/Bitcoin management? I am playing an iPhone slots game and was wondering that. ( https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bitcoin-million-slot-machine/id939424745?l=iw&ls=1&mt=8 )
13  Other / Off-topic / How do I play this? on: December 03, 2014, 05:53:59 PM
I've basically found a pretty interesting game on the Bitcoin/Altcoin theme ( https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bitcoin-million-slot-machine/id939424745?l=iw&ls=1&mt=8 ). Has anyone played it?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Quarkbar mining? on: December 03, 2014, 12:32:36 AM
Guys, do you know if I can already begin mining Quarkbars and where? ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=587457.0 )
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Quarkbar? on: December 03, 2014, 12:06:05 AM
Hey,

What do you think of the Quarkbar ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=587457.0 ) ?

Is it yet another scam; or maybe, what it looks like - a promising new currency?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Quarkbar pool? on: December 02, 2014, 10:43:05 PM
Or, in other words, this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=587457.0

Has anyone already heard about a dedicated pool? I want to be one of the first ones to mine some. They claim that the premine will be cleared out...
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin VS Quarkbar? on: December 02, 2014, 10:33:05 PM
Hello,

How would you rate the following two when compared to one another? For months over I've been looking for an interesting cryptocurrency that could potentially be as interesting as the Bitcoin itself; the father of all cryptocurrencies. This Quarkbar thing seems interesting and innovative. Is it worth it in your opinion?

Thanks!
18  Economy / Service Discussion / Strange way to send Bitcoins on: October 10, 2014, 03:55:31 PM
Hello,

Has anyone heard of bithalo, http://bithalo.org/ ? I sent some money through it and it worked out fine; but am not sure if it's legit for bigger sums?

Thanks in advance.
