Has anyone tested the mac install recently?

I am running it right out of the box(not updating config at all) and its been 10 minutes and still says "No Block Source Available"

Is it pointing to the right nodes?
Try adding a .conf to your mac version I had to do this before syncing was possible.

The old chain looks to be longer then the CORRECT current chain. Were are these miners? We need to have them convert or when we initialize the updates they will be two versions behind.
I am seeing some debating on the different updates we want to implement, so let's put everything to a vote and go from there?

Seen max keiser name above, and please try and stay away from him. He would only pump CSC to his liking and then dump, It may rise the value but in the long run it would hurt our image and value.
Does anyone have API experience typically JSON(want to display CSC value, HashRate, and Total Supply on casinocoin.org homepage)

I have some API experience.  How do you want to get the data into the webpage?

What is the story with all of the tiny buy orders at cryptsy?

There are lots of orders for small fractions of a CSC.  It's got to be a bot or something but I just don't understand what it could be doing...

Huh

Looks Like https://coinnext.com/ is up and running.

Their order book is building.

I was able to deposit coins and put them up for sale.

First trade went through at .00000550.

Best I can tell, I'll need to run a few seed nodes with MIN_PEER_PROTO_VERSION set to 70003 when the new client is officially released. This will help with syncing. Then after we get significant distribution of the new clients with MIN_PEER_PROTO_VERSION = 70004, I can change the seeds to require a MIN_PEER_PROTO_VERSION of 70004. Does this make sense for the eventual release or is this overkill?

How did it go during the last upgrade?

I'm gonna repeat back what you said outloud to see if it makes sense...

The plan is to create several seeds with the new PROTOCOL_VERSION set to 70004 but keep MIN_PEER_PROTO_VERSION = 70003.
Then tell as many people as possible to move to the new release(70004 aka 1.3).  This version will have MIN_PEER_PROTO_VERSION = 70004

Then once a significant number of people are on 70004 you will remove the seeds with MIN_PEER_PROTO_VERSION = 70003.  (and if necessary replace them with MIN_PEER_PROTO_VERSION = 70004)

Seems like it makes sense but how have other coins done this in the past?
Are you in contact with admins at the bigger pools to make sure they are ready to move?

I'm a little concerned that cryptsy still doesn't have their wallet working.  Might be a good idea to make sure they know about the upgrade and if possible have them fix their current wallet first.

BTW, anyone here capable of code reviewing the changes I've implemented for the next release? If so, I can forward the relevant source, which is not in the main branch. The current changes are:

1.) max coins changed from 336000000 to 63000000
2.) old block reward halving scheme removed
3.) block reward permanently reduced to 10 after block 620k (we may adjust this to be a bit more targeted to follow 10 - 45 days after the release - just a placeholder for now)
4.) incremented MIN_PEER_PROTO_VERSION to 70004
5.) incremented PROTOCOL_VERSION to 70004
6.) incremented CLIENT_VERSION_MINOR to 3

If anyone can advise, would any other changes be required to perform the eventual fork in addition to changing the subsidy and max coins? I believe the changes made are what's required, but need to make sure another version number doesn't need to be changed. Anyone know for sure or willing to help with a code review?

I'm not especially qualified but I can take a look.

Is there any exchange that is currently working?

Seems to me there isn't any exchange that I can send CSC to.  I am done mining until this is solved.

Are there any exchanges that aren't under maintenance right now?  Whats the deal?

Checkout de list in the first post, but cryptsy has the most trading volume atm for casinocoins.

All of the exchanges in the first post are "down for maintenance"

Very strange.

Is anyone getting this error from cryptsy when clicking deposit or autosell on casinocoin wallet
Our wallet is currently offline while we perform system maintenance.

Same here. No error in the dashboard when you logout. So trading can still be done
Hmm, I tried sending 3.5k CSC to cryptsy last night and still hasn't arrived! No idea what kind of maintenance they are doing

Who was the last one who successfully sent csc to cryptsy, and when?
i also have this error and i was wondering how long it is lasting...

This is the end of solarcoin.  After this round the difficulty is gonna stay spiked at 40+ for weeks with no miners.

Hi again,

Casino.rosemining.com has had more than 12 MHs pointed at casino coin for 12 hours. Why haven't I hit a single block?

I am updated to the latest wallet.

Thanks

Question. Am I correct in understanding that CryptoPoolMining effectively has over 90% of the network hashrate for this coin? Isn't this a BAD thing? I'm familiar with the possibility of a 51% attack with BTC and other crypto's which has prompted me to ask. I really like this coin, but having all that power in one place really seems like a bad idea.

But there is no incentive to switch to a smaller pool where the payoff takes a lot longer. If one of the other pools could have a block finder's bonus or some other bonuses, then maybe it'd be worth switching.

The nice thing about mining this coin is that the majority of the other miners are all holding their coins rather than dumping. If any of the current altcoins take off, this one has the most promise!
Yes everyone is holding cause this coin will be huge the next btc Smiley also I wonder how many coins are left to mine

I just started another solar mining pool.

We are up over 80 MHs already.
