1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Minera v0.9.0] Your next mining dashboard - S9/L3+/D3/CPUminer/CGminer/BFGminer on: December 09, 2017, 08:50:14 PM
I finally had to break down and update to the newest version. And there is where the problems start. It is assigning itself an IP address that is no where near what I have my router range set to. It is assigning 169.251.101.33, which is like I said no where near what I use. The router is DHCP enabled and has always worked just fine assigning an IP to Minera within the local network. Until now... I cannot even shush into the IP assigned nor can I access it within Web Browser. IF I cannot access anything I cannot even go in and manually adjust the IP.

Am I missing something?

Its a clean install on a brand new SD card. I do this with each version just in case.

The longer this is down the more it is costing me. I would just go back to 7.0 but I would rather be up to date and have all the abilities the newest version has to offer.

Any ides on how to fix this issue? I know its a bit vague but its all I got so far.

0.7.0 isn't upgradable.

You have to start from the latest image.

It is a fresh install on a new card as I said in my post. What Ineed to do is get past the newest version assigning itself an IP that is no where near what my local network is set for. DHCP is neabled on my router as I indicated, and yet it still assigns an address well out of range. I sue the typical 192.168.x.x range for my local network and it is assigning 169.251.101.33 to itself.  and as I said with no way to gain access to Minera, either direct or through web interface, I cannot change the IP to something within range of my network. Currently I resorted to using an older card with v.7.0 on it just to have it mining until I can get something figured out on the latest version.

Really wish these guys would get their shit together and get this site going again with some active exchanges and a current diff calculator for both LTC and BTC like it used to be. Pretty sad they dropped off the map so to speak recently.

I found that cpuminer was the best to use for my Gridseed Blades. It seemed as though the others didn't recognize them for some reason. To date mine have been running perfectly. I would give that a try and see what you get.

It is good to see the long block finally over.. I do hope to see some of the hash rate come back that was there before or I fear we may run into another long block time scenario. Of course its all about the luck of solving that next block, so anything can happen.

this is a new one for me:

After a power outage I have been unable to access the Web UI in Minera. I get a constant 503 Service Not Available error msg. I have restarted the pi several times, re-flashed Minera to the SD Card twice, and still no luck. At one point I was able to get to the log in screen, but once the log in attempt was made, right back to 503 again.

I thought about the possibility if the pi being borked from a power surge, but it is on a protected strip and nothing else was affected. I have even tried a different SD Card just in case the other was borked. Its probably something stupid, but I will be damned if I can figure it out.

Oddly enough when I look at the pool the miners are pointed to, they seem to be hashing along fine.

To eliminate potential causes I have tried multiple browsers (Chrome, FireFox), several restarts of both rPi and this system, cleared cache on the browsers.

The pi does have a monitor plugged into it so I can watch the load up and I am not seeing anything out of the ordinary.

Any ideas or a possible solution would be great.

Did you try to start from a new Minera image? It seems like your PHP-FPM daemon is not running. You can try to start it:

Code:
sudo service php5-fpm restart

It's also possible you finished the SD space check it with
Code:
du -hs

And also check the logs in
Code:
/var/log

Of course these are task you need to do via SSH.

It is a  fresh image downloaded today. restart fails on attempt so I am thinking something got borked wither in the download, extraction or the flashing of the image to the. I will start from scratch and see if this works. I will update in anything changes.

update: looks like the micro SD card is indeed fuxored. Unfortunately the other one I have is used for something else so I will need to get another. Hopefully this resolves the issue completely and I can get back to mining again. Thnx for your assistance in trying to resolve this as I love using Minera.

BitcoinWisdom could you update on https://bitcoinwisdom.com/litecoin/difficulty
block reward halving on calc?
still calculate with  50LTC
cheers

Yes it would be great if this could be done. I half expected it would have been done immediately after that halving, but still not done. Please update this so it can actually show an accurate reading.

Thank You

For a coin that isn't on any exchange currently its funny how many wallets are still open and doing work. Is it possible that some still have a small amount of faith in this coin and are holding out to see of another team will pick up the slack and get it relisted again somewhere? Never know, stranger things have happened to coins that were thought to be dead and buried only to spring back to life.

I find it funny how bittrex shows that Seedcoin is "normal" on the site status dashboard, but the wallet and trading are inactive. Looks to me that they need to get their shit together. The trading that occurred prior to it being "screwed" was well above the amount they said needed to happen to keep it listed.

I see the Elder Tree and Seed Forest webpage is back up. Does that mean they will both be dropping seedlings again? Would be great to see that happening again.

A well seeded forest is better than a few lonely tress siting out in the middle of a field.

It would appear that us faithful holders are keeping the trading low thus forcing trex to threaten to delist the coin again. It pains me that when there are so many who are vested enough in a coin that exchanges want to drop it thinking its lack of interest in the coin. It would be great to see it on another exchange to lessen the worry of delisting.

Might just be me not being able to see it, but what happened the the Elder Tree & Seed Forest Information page? Was nice being able to see where coins were going and how well they were being distributed during the rainy season.

And after a quick flash of dark clouds, and rough winds, a bunch of seeds have fallen from the elder tree.

The light is shining bright across the fields today.

New seeds have already begun to sprout, and they're looking very nice.

My forest is growing with all the seedlings..

The first set of seeds have fallen from the elder tree.

I was pleasantly surprised to so many seeds fall into my yard.
