1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SATOSHI IS BACK with satoshi@vistomail.com BUT ITS SCAM on: June 10, 2023, 12:36:19 AM
Could have been a dangerous scam to be honest with control of that email but anybody in bitcoin for a while would need to see a Satoshi claim proved cryptographically. Nobody has ever been able to do that, notoriously Faketoshi Wright.

Also the main clue that this is nonsense is that Satoshi would never promote some cheap, nasty thing like OTOM. Bitcoin is his baby, his art, his masterpiece. He would never come back like this.

AGREED I just wanted to protect the noobs especially with ordinals and first time tokens buyers etc from other chains. I've been here since 2105 and I'm still learning new things daily so I can't image what this is like for them lol.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SATOSHI IS BACK with satoshi@vistomail.com BUT ITS SCAM on: June 10, 2023, 12:15:37 AM
I think this in general is kind of huge news (scam or not) just because we caught it early and did no damage does not mean this is not a big deal in terms of history and the time chain. people should know the domain has left the anon org that helped register bitcoin.org & setup satoshi’s email. There has been hacks of his GMX mail to my knowledge, but not this one and it is the same email Wright claims his lawyers looked at lol

its a big deal regardless there is also literally no news or info about why the domains didn't get renewed or why anonymous speech .com & vistomail .com shut down.. would love to know. Kind of wild.[

FYI the site has been removed. Glad I got the word out before he/she started promoting this BS  Grin

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / SATOSHI IS BACK with satoshi@vistomail.com BUT ITS SCAM on: June 08, 2023, 05:03:39 PM
This is actually a super early warning. Have not seen it promoted on twitter yet.

"Satoshi Nakamoto is BACK with his satoshi@vistomail.com email & will SOON promote OTOM a bitcoin BRC20 scam on http://vistomail.com

Michael Webber who owned http://anonymousspeech.com & http://vistomail.com for the anon mail service did not renew the domains. BE CAREFUL "

Why would anyone buy it?   You are selling because you can't afford to re-register, right?

the same reason someone bought btcs.com and turned it into the first publicly traded bitcoin investment company. It's a dynamite name for any project or business in the crypto world in my opinon.
7  Economy / Digital goods / Re: btcs.co on: December 10, 2020, 07:23:20 PM
flippa seems down to me. the link is not working.
I wanted to see how the auction is going. I don't see anything special in this domain. BTCs.co doesn't make any sense to me. it would worth something if it was BTC.CO

BTCs totally makes sense. It literally is the plural shorthand for Bitcoins. Just checkout the many crypto headlines using "BTCs" instead of Bitcoins

Shark Tank Judge Kevin O’Leary Is Concerned About BTC’s (livebitcoinnews)

MicroStrategy Purchases Additional 2,574 BTCs (ihodl.com)

First ETHs, High BTCs, Pushed USDCs and 20 Crypto Jokes (cryptonews.com)

Bitcoin Mining Rigs Struggle for Profits, Despite BTC's Hashrate (bitcoin.com)

Analyst Tracks Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP Trajectories After BTC’s Burst to All-Time High (Daily HODL)

I couldn't find a domain seller site that offered bitcoin payment so if you like this name for YOUR NEXT PROJECT NAME send me a message with your offer in BTC or USD and I will cancel the auction and proceed with the sale here.

Paying in bitcoins is preferred as as using your BTC's for a BTCs.co domain will benefit our community!

Visit the btcs.co domain or go here https://flippa.com/10738524-btcs-co to find the $1 priced auction ending 12/20/20

9  Economy / Auctions / BTCS.co domain starting bid $1 on: December 10, 2020, 12:35:59 AM
btcs.co is the rare exact match domain for 1 of the only 2 ways to describe "bitcoins" (BTC's or Bitcoins)

Auction starts at $1, low reserve, ends 12/20/20. Go to here to bid https://flippa.com/10738524-btcs-co Best of luck!

Media headlines are constantly using "BTC's" instead of bitcoins. This is mostly due to shorthand is preferred on mobile, but also BTC's is the trade symbol and seems to be the preferred use when looking into the money / price side of BTC's. Additionally savy news reports know to use bitcoin singular and BTC's plural in order to up their SEO and visibility. Here is a handful of headlines just from this month:
    - Shark Tank Judge Kevin O’Leary Is Concerned About BTC’s (livebitcoinnews)
    - MicroStrategy Purchases Additional 2,574 BTCs (ihodl.com)
    - Bitcoin Mining Rigs Struggle for Profits, Despite BTC's Hashrate (bitcoin.com)
    - First ETHs, High BTCs, Pushed USDCs and 20 Crypto Jokes (cryptonews.com)[/li]
