your launching a pharmaceutical company??? manufacturing?? doesnt it take billoins to set up a drugs company(legally)?? or is it like whole sale?
Well, I like to work with chemicals that haven't been scheduled, yet. I actually found the cure for Alzheimer's and contracted out three different companies to whip up 100kgs... Here's the kicker though, it literally is a brain derived neurotrophic factor that stimulates neurogenesis, myelination, dendritic and axonal growth, think "nzt 48" from limitless, except it isn't a eugeroic/cholinergic/stimulant. It works, so fucking well. It has been tried in over 5000 people, no deaths, no serious side effects. I'm going to market it as a nootropic to the masses .

8%-9% would be a absolutely massive amount of growth for a large corporation, but for a startup it would be nothing... My company grew 1200% (killer features, insane innovation) in six months, and then tapered to a solid 15% percent growth, which is what it's at right now. Anywhore, to answer your question, relative to the other crypto-currencies NXT is a relatively stable asset. Relative to the the CAD it is as stable as francium. Is NXT worth 30M at the moment, yes. Will NXT be worth 500M in a year? I don't doubt it for a fucking second, I am reviewing CIYAMS complete AT code and I can tell you this is just the beginning. I may be less active in the NXT community because I'm launching a new pharmaceutical company in two months.... so, I'll try to help out and stay on track, but no promises.

WOW BTC getting raped at the moment! Does anybody have info about the Chinese government ban? If this ban is truth and it happens how will this affect BTER and NXT in there? Any danger we can lose all our NXT in BTER if we have them? most likely be true,but not disclosed by gov. It is true, except for hong kong and Macau (Special Administrative Regions, their markets are more free than America's)... Basically there are just a bunch of idiots selling, of course the big guys sold off before the leak anticipating the fallout, and everyone followed. When you see a 6k - 14k (BTC) buy, then hop in as soon as possible, until then GTFO out of bitcoin, I sold mine for NXT on dgex a few hours ago (you might have noticed the volume spike ).

From what I understand tf uses deterministic selection based on specific environmental variables to form a consensus on who will be able to forge next... I don't think the devs at mastercoin know what they're talking about, at all.

Not over TCP. Over IP. So I guess it's for realtime transaction multicasting?

In the end we'll have clients that prepare and sign transactions completely locally and send them via UDP.

Wesley, Have you considered implementing a random character generator into the nxt client, and then saving that string in a local file encrypted by a password chosen on the first login? It would act as the equivalent of a wallet file.
I can write the scripts for you in whatever language you need...

There is already a great invention for trust called GPG - maybe if we can help make *that* more user friendly we could integrate its usage *with* the Nxt platform. I think the idea of "personal" aliases (unique attributes belonging to a user) could be helpful for that (one of those could be GPG fingerprint). This is what I have been working on, somewhat. I'm using the already available ECC crypto-libraries in NXT instead of GPG/PGP libraries.

Only new and innovative currencies will survive, NXT, ethereum (spelling?), mastercoin... etc.

Question (since this isn't all of the code obviously): Is this system using shared keys between the transmitter and receiver? That way, even if the hallmarked node is malicious, it can't read the file unless it knows either Peer1 or Peer2's private key.
Another question: What incentive does this hallmarked node receive by providing it's bandwidth to transfer files?
Thanks! Yes, either the entire object can be encrypted and packed into another object or the individual variables of an object can be packed inside of an object and then sent. I was thinking something like this... byte[] data = SerializationUtils.serialize(dataPacket); byte[] encryptedObject = Crypto.xorEncrypt(data, position, length, privateKey, publicKey); Their incentive could be from fees, I can probably hack it in there somewhere.

Well, let me provide an update after eight hours of straight programming. Here is essentially what I will be running with for the decentralized server addition. In this example Peer1 and Peer2 are not hallmarked, which is why they are using a hallmarked server as a common networking point. The purpose of this is to allow the two "peers" to send serialized objects to each other without taking up a large amount of bandwidth on the NXT network. - Peer1 sends the serverRequest object to all hallmarkedServer(s) in peerList.
- hallmarkedServer(s) check their peerList to see if they are connected to Peer2
- if they are not the hallmarkedServer(s) broadcast the signed request to all the hallmarkedServer(s) they are connected to.
- if they are connected to Peer2 they send the serverRequest to Peer2
- Peer2 connects to IP (sharedNode) in request packet
- Peer2 sends a signed timestamp + sharedServer packet to the shared server (essentially just verifying the serverRequest)
- the shared server will now relay all serialized objects sent from Peer1 to Peer2 (on port 6666) and vice-versa.
Countermeasure to "passive" denial of service Every minute a object with the amount of sent data during the last minute is sent to hServer hServer sends this to the other Peer If this packet is not received by the other peer the shared hServer is forgotten and a new sharedServer is found
