1  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: New Bitsumo.com - Buy Online With Bitcoins on: August 30, 2013, 11:00:49 PM
Just wanted to issue praise again.  I ordered something worth ~$1900 and received it in 4 days.  Pablo is very attentive and willing to do whatever it takes to make an order. I will use again, it's a lot easier than getting $ out of MtGox  Cheesy

Thanks Pablo!

Do you have a maximum limit for orders?

Thanks-

Greetings,

Used service for the first time, had an excellent experience.  I got my car parts in about a week (spent ~$330).  It might raise trust levels if more of users report our max $ spent.  I'm planning on using again as soon as Pablo says things are back up.

Thanks Pablo!
4  Economy / Securities / Re: [WTS/WTT] 48 Shares of ASICMINER on: April 02, 2013, 09:29:14 PM
Why not just talk to one of the PT admins and transfer your shares to the PT?

I didn't realize how easy that would be, sorry- and thanks for the suggestion!

Question: how do you justify denying a refund?
6  Economy / Securities / [WTS/WTT] 48 Shares of ASICMINER on: April 02, 2013, 05:58:56 PM
Greetings,

I have 48 shares of ASICMINER that I purchased before GLBSE blew up.  I would like to sell them or trade them for pass through shares on btct.  Would prefer to sell for at or around @PT trade price.  Anyone interested?  Feel free to PM or post in thread.  Thanks-

Apologies I missed that update.  That said, those stats don't show much about the unclaimed at all.  I got the impression from your post a month ago you would think about compromises or alternate options.
8  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: April 02, 2013, 04:14:21 PM
I would be happy with selling my rights to my claim, but it was expressly stated that would be not be honored by Giga.  I wouldn't be complaining if there was any other solution offered, but everything suggested has been expressly shut down already.  This is me compromising: I understand that BTC has gone up in price since we bought, I understand our funds were most likely converted to USD to buy hardware.  That's why I personally would be fine with taking a USD equivalent of my investment rather than the actual BTC as a refund.  I think James has been pretty clear that going through the claim is the only thing he will accept.  I expect a reply to this with a "make a claim you will get paid" post.

I will be publishing a few things in the next couple of weeks that will demonstrate both what has happened to date, my thoughts on the situation and how we will move forward. I have wanted to give time for the claims process to work, which has happened, and I will be giving more suggestions for the way forward.

Not a single day goes by that I do not think about the past months and the heartache that it has caused those who cannot or have not claimed. It is my top priority to make sure gigamining and teramining remain intact so that plans can be made for a day when the regulatory environment is better understood.

Please bear with me as this is the busiest time in my businesses short history.

Best,
James

It's been a month.  No update from James.  So James, what is the plan?  Where is the published plan of how to move forward and the claims stats?
9  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: March 19, 2013, 10:53:12 PM

GLBSE was auto-terminated in a big mess, now Giga makes the rules of how this will go forward in a way that he feels will protect him from potential problems, he insists you follow his claims process & doesn't allow any bonds/shares to be sold or transferred to others, he is not offering any buy backs atm mostly due to their being no market in which to value them & maybe for other reasons, anyway he's not negotiating on this so you either accept that or not.

I haven't posted since Giga said he felt a bit bad and would post about the number of unclaimed and his plan to resolve them.  It's been almost 2 weeks.
This is serious bs.  Otoh, just because you had enough money invested with Giga that you need to kiss up to him doesn't mean the rest of us should stop pushing for what is right.  How about just a refund, as if I never bought anything.  AML doesn't restrict a business from giving someone their money back.  Regardless of what Giga decides, he's broken his original contract with all of us and should fix it or get a scammer tag.  He's a smart guy, I'm sure there are ways we could all compromise.  He's stealing our money instead.

To James and all those wanting to not participate anymore in Gigamining:

Perhaps there is a way people can sell their bonds to someone who wants to buy them.  We could use the blockchain to verify they are who they claim to be through the information James got from GLBSE he can verify they are who they say they are and someone like me could send a payment to that payout address for said number of shares at an agreed upon price, verify it in the blockchain and James can transfer those bonds to the new owners.  Those who want to remain anonymous or can't afford the proper documentation due to whatever reason in  their country get out of the contract get what they want and I get more bonds...  Then people can stop screaming in the forums about what went wrong, or how they feel they are getting cheated?  We are all in some kind of shitty ass fucked up GLBSE screwup so lets stop whining about it and put our fucking collective heads together and come up with a damn solution.

By the way I emailed James and in the time it too me to type this out he sent me my payment.. and I can type 80 wpm.

Thanks james and please consider something like this to help us through this transition.

I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO GET NOTARIZATION AND APOSTILLE.

You could probably get an advance/loan on the dividends you will receive upon claiming your bonds.

He shouldn't have to.  Some of us want a refund.  The original contract has been broken, and we don't want to participate with the new.  With BTC going up and up and some point I might have to swallow my ideals and file, but I'd rather have a refund.  I'd accept a buy back with a loss, even if it was based on equivalent USD at the time of GLBSE folded, but I don't want to give my identity to this venture.  I suspect most people are just afraid to complain because gagamining seemed like the most stable fund on GLBSE so it had a lot of big investors.  Only us little guys can afford to complain and write off our loss if it doesn't work out.  I'm in the too heavily invested to complain position with some other GLBSE funds unfortunately.

Reposted.

This was the old contract:

Hello fellow bitcoiners,

Off the back of the glbse 2.0 release and with a soon to be influx of mining equipment, I am proud to release the first and ONLY 5Mh/s perpetual mining bond.

Introduction:
Mining assets are becoming extremely common on the GLBSE. We have companies that offer ownership of hardware, bonds that correlate to actual hash rate. But overall nothing too exciting, too large, or too profitable.

Until now.
Introducing Gigamining! http://gigamining.com/

The ONLY 5Mh/s perpetual mining bond.

The first bond to offer more than 2 Mh/s per bond, and run by a name you know has the hashes to back it up.

Summary:
There will be a total of 10,000 bonds issued, with each bond worth a massive 5 Mh/s.

During the initial offering of 1000 bonds the 500 bonds remaining will be sold on 4/10/2012, they will be sold for a cheap 1 BTC. All maintenance free.

Bulk pre-sales of 100 or more units can be made at the 1 BTC price BEFORE the IPO on 4/10. PM me to get started.

Each bond will pay 100% of PPS earnings every 7 days.

The bond will never expire.

I reserve the option to repurchase bonds at 105% of the highest traded price over the last 15 days.

About Me
Most of you know who I am, most of you know I have the ability to deliver this kind of power. I'm not going anywhere any time soon, so trust that your coin is safe, and doing its best work for you, here. If you have any questions, ask them in the thread.

Where is 50Gh going to come from?
- I currently run 33Gh in GPUs (undervolted and underclocked to 26.5Gh for the summer)
- I also run 11 Butterfly Labs singles @ 9.1Gh
- Soon 4 mini rig boxes will arrive with a total of 100Gh of mining capacity.

You can see the farm mining at anytime at http://gigamining.com/mgpumon/

Best,
gigavps

The new contract is so far from this.  I want a refund.  I was originally going to pay for an upgrade before GLBSE shut down, I was very impressed by giga back then.  Notice the following.  The original contract that we bought rights to says perpetual, the new contract is limited.  The original contract said maintenance free, the new one pays for it.  Add in that giga ends up our address/identity. Oh, and even if you don't hold many shares you have to pay notaries to get them back.  Finally we can't give our claim rights to anyone else.  If anyone wants to claim my shares I would be willing to handle all emails associated with my glbse address.
13  Economy / Securities / Re: HYDRO.BONDS status? on: January 24, 2013, 05:14:49 PM
Hydrobonds was my favorite asset on GLBSE.  I loved the returns and the free asic upgrade clause.

I messaged him a while back and he said he had some troubles and wasn't willing to unlock the hydro bonds thread.  He also gave me a small payment and said he was still working out what to do.  I would like to know if the asic upgrade is still happening or if it's off the table.  If it's off the table we should know what's going on.

Usagi did you end up giving up on this?
15  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Should Giga be tagged as a scammer? on: January 15, 2013, 09:45:06 PM
My bad, I too was responding to Giga (sorry).
16  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Should Giga be tagged as a scammer? on: January 15, 2013, 12:21:32 AM
We've been through this, it's not worth spending the money to get a refund and I don't trust you or your lawyer with my identity.
17  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Should Giga be tagged as a scammer? on: January 14, 2013, 10:14:39 PM
If nothing else I should be able to ask for a refund.  Giga please give me my money back, I don't want to call it a loan with interest or anything.  Lets just say I left my wallet at your house, please return it.
18  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Should Giga be tagged as a scammer? on: December 05, 2012, 01:36:10 AM
Is there some way you could not pay me interest so it doesn't trigger whatever federal code you are trudging up.  I gave you money, why can't you just give it back?  It's akin to me dropping my wallet it IRL, would you give it back to me if you found it?

I should not have to give out my personal info to every asset issuer from GLBSE, they didn't do anything like that for me when I gave it to them.  If I were you, I would feel like a thief.  I understand you got a lawyer to figure out what you should do, but I seriously wonder how you feel deep down knowing you are sitting on a pile of hardware other people bought for you.
19  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Should Giga be tagged as a scammer? on: December 04, 2012, 11:46:46 PM
Giga, if Nefario released a "better" list as he JoelKatz describes would you still force us to give you all of our personal information?

Also, since you seem intimately familiar with GLBSEs state, what exactly happened.  Who shut him down? Did those details ever really come to light?
20  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FPGAMINING scam ongoing on: December 04, 2012, 07:44:47 PM
According to:
http://blog.glbse.com/issers-who-have-been-given-lists-so-far

FPGAMINING has gotten a list of asset holders.  Can we start this thread back up?
