OK Managed to load it. Seems like it is going to take ages to download the blockchain. Another issue, I replaced my wallet.dat with my previous wallet. When launching the wallet it modifies the wallet.dat file to a new one. Any idea how to prevent it from happening and use my old wallet file? Hey Guys

The work and effort which are put on the coin is appreciated however the trading volumes and exposure are far from what is seen in the crypto space these days.
Did you ever contemplate the idea of an ICO for the coin? It will be very easy with a working and proved product to raise few Millions of $.
This fund raising could support the devs to acquire more professionals to promote and develop the coin further and long term investors could profit from diluting their shares in the supply (as with seed investors) and it could bring a fresh spirit to the coin.
At this point, the coin will have difficulties in reaching to new investors as there is so much innovation out there.
Would appreciate to hear your thoughts on the matter.
Long Answer: ICO are usually used as a way to distribute coins in place of Proof of work. ZEIT was born in the beginning with Proof of Work for a ~Month and then evolved into a Energy Efficient Proof of Stake. Entry into ZEIT has always been open to all, either through the initial PoW or the Low Prices at the exchanges. Many ICOs are scams with developers crashing the markets not long after release. Releasing an ICO , also places your coin as an unregistered security which can allow Federal Government agencies to enact control over your coin, that if it was not an ICO , they would have no authority to do.
As far as innovation goes, ZEIT is at the top of the game.

Neither Yobit or coinexchange have synced their ZEIT wallets , so their are no ZEIT deposits or withdrawals on either, Why anyone trades on either of those exchanges when they can't bother to sync their wallet with the network is beyond me. |

Hey guys, Finally managed to download the whole blockchain on the new wallet. Everything looks fine up to the moment in which I replace the private key with my old wallet. I get the next error: Runtime Error This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information. So here I am asking for more information from support team unfortunately errors like that give me little or no information XD by replace the private key, you mean load it up with a new wallet.dat? or importprivkey from console? Hey I meant load it up with my older wallet.dat, where my coins are stored. |

Managed to get it working and syncing but I still cannot see any box for unlocking wallet for staking. Am I looking at the wrong spot? Please guide me... Hey Guys,
While yesterday I had the wallet working but couldn't unlock for staking, today I'm having trouble making it work.
Installed the latest version, working good, but as it will take forever to catch up, I downloaded the snapshot, and after following the instructions, when loading the wallet it is just stuck on ' loading block index'
Any advice on how to make it work?
how long takes a pos block? i will send some coins With the latest wallet, click 'Settings' and then click 'Unlock'. Check the box for 'Only Unlock for Staking' and then enter your password. Do that everytime you close and re-open the wallet. I am using the latest version. And no 'unlock' option under 'settings' OK. Found it. First you need to Encrypt your wallet, then you get the option to unlock it. makes sense.... |
