1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: April 24, 2014, 07:40:37 PM
I strongly recommend BTC if possible, you shoudl not loose MSC though, I think they are either automatically returned or at worst we have to manually do it. It is literally closing now though. I am out of the office (heading back) and the close thing is happening or happened. You can try but I really think it best you use BTC to be safe. It works with a STOP order type thing. I will know more in a few mins when I am in. Interviews like mad as well. Sleep when its over for sure.

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/maidsafe-development/9QTj0d2pGPo/NPC7XkUrdzEJ

Apparently the MSC investment address (1ARjWDkZ7kT9fwjPrjcQyvbXDkEySzKHwu) was removed from safecoin.io.
MaidSafe really should put up an official statement and explain:
- why the MSC address was removed
- if it's still possible to invest via MSC

I have high respect for the Mastercoin people and for the MaidSafe project but I'm missing transparency here. Not communicating about this puts an otherwise interesting project in a bad light.

(My guess is that the amount of coins on the MSC side is much bigger than expected and that they would like to push the BTC side of investments.)

HEY GUYS - BE AWARE SOMEONE IS TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE ON THIS THREAD WITH AN ACCOUNT NAME SIMILAR TO MINE

They're using the name biggullycoin' (with an apostrophe) and apparently demanding BTC payment only - I will not do this.  Be warned!!

Thanks to topnomi for the tip

63 REMAINING

I bought a huge amount of these recently and I need the money so I'm selling at a pretty huge loss without ever mining with them.

They are available right now and I can ship immediately after payment is safely received.  I do accept Paypal from a verified buyer.

I also accept bitcoin obviously, and prefer it - but that requires trust on your end.  However I'm willing to give a mod or established user personal information, talk on the phone, Skype, give my Facebook info or whatever is requested if that helps.  Also willing to do business in person if you're in the NYC area.

I have a limited amount of accessories that I'm willing to include on a first come first served basis.

Here's what remains at the moment:

(3) Raspberry Pi units with custom software installed (I believe each can run 20 units or more)
(1) WiiBox Controller
(4) Power supplies, unwired
(4) 10-port USB hubs

Each order of 10+ will get an appropriate set of available accessories for no additional cost, until they run out.

$100 each shipped.

BOXES OF 20 FOR $1,800 INCLUDING SHIPPING - $90 ea!

I'll have to calculate shipping for orders outside the US, PM me for info - if it's reasonable I might still include shipping.

If paying in bitcoin, address is below (make sure you PM me with details) - otherwise PM me for paypal info.

Shipped:

aideed - 10 units - paid in BTC
Xer0 - 20 units - paid with Paypal
Can you accept bank wire? I'm in fiat right now.

It is very hard to get an exchange up with just 10BTC. I am thinking around 100BTC will be a more reasonable number. If you think you can get it done with 10BTC then it is really great.

Instead of talking about how you could pay back the loan, try to show what you can do. Your skill, experience and past work will go a long way to convince me to send you money. I may even want to become partner and fund the whole thing if I believe you can full it off.
PM sent to you  Smiley

So if I cut back my interest rate to 20% every investor going crazy?
Sure Cheesy THE INTEREST RATE NOW 20%!!!
Just kidding i keep my word Smiley
Thank you for your reply, but Im not a scammer or a fool. I just want starting my exchange from nothing.
There is no other known explanation. Please explain what other possible reason would you have for offering such a large interest rate that it would make any rational person think you are a scammer. I have asked this question many times and have never gotten an answer.
Here is my simple answer JoelKatz. I want this exchange more than everything, and I need starting fund. I'm a new member here and an exchange business is risky, so I thought if I offer a pretty large interest rate, then bitcointalk lenders will support me.

If you think borrowing money at an absurdly high interest rate in a way that makes you look like a scammer is a sensible way to start a business, you are a very poor businessman.

Don't you have any friends or family -- or anyone with a reason to trust you for that matter --  that would be interested in such an amazing deal?
Yeah the rate is high because I'm a new member and an exchange thing is risky, and I really want this project.
If this crowdfunding will be unsuccessful I try btcjam or finally a bank loan.
My family is poor, in Hungary 99% of all people is poor  Cheesy Undecided.
If you would even think of asking for a loan at such an absurdly high interest rate when there's even the slightest chance that you might be able to get a bank loan, you're either a fool or a scammer. Either way, loaning you money doesn't sound wise. Honestly, do you have any rational understanding of how absurdly high the interest rate you are offering is? Such rates are almost always offered by scammers or fools, if for no other reason than that offering such a rate makes everyone think you're a scammer.
So if I cut back my interest rate to 20% every investor going crazy?
Sure Cheesy THE INTEREST RATE NOW 20%!!!

If 99% of you are poor, how will you pay it back if your exchange doesn't work?

Honestly, you can't even make a exchange with ten Bitcoins.
Why not? I will rent the hardware, I just purchased the domain a few minute ago. I will use some of this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=87836.0
Please support me, if my exchange will doesnt work I sell everything what I have, but I pay back every fund as I promised it.

*lol*

Like some dynamic IP does anything good...

And that guy - without any knowledge - wants to open a crowd-funded exchange ??! Sounds more like he wants to Goxx everyone without the hassle of actually running an exchange.
That scam idea is already taken I'm afraid...
It's static... http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/89.134.52.7
As I said I I want to hire one or two developers to work with me Smiley

I pay back 170% from fees in the 2 months.

So if I lend you 10btc right now, you'll pay me 17btc on May 21, 2014?

How are you able to do that?  What is your plan?
Sorry I made typo.  Undecided My plan is I pay back in 2 months 170% btc funds after when my site is online!
19  Economy / Lending / Re: need btc to create a new btc exchange on: March 21, 2014, 11:09:59 PM
If you can't raise 6K by yourself, I'm afraid your probably not going to get your "exchange" running. First off, no one is goin to loan you 10 BTC unsecured, so you'd need at least that amout in collateral. If you had that collateral you could just sell it off and hav the funds necessary. Next, your another newbie account asking for a giant loan with no real veritable details as to your plans and your identity. Your going to have to resolve these issues before anyone would even consider loaning you.
yes I'm a newbie every beginning is hard... I want to increase my trust level in the near future.
