Nice poll question Adam most interesting in a while, the results so far are surprising.

Yes, but it's missing a valid viewpoint: "I couldn't care less about precious metals", which is not the same as thinking about it.

Just read over on reddit that Germany classifies BTC as "private money".  This is some good news.

Isn't that very old news?

It is.

I still do not understand what that means, though.

no bans on chinese saturday or sunday likely - maybe another reason why we are rallying.

I think this rally has flattened out, the question now is whether there will be another one or if we'll slowly go down again for a while.

I am all BTC at this point but I'm tempted to short and see if I can increase my coins.

I'll just leave this here for all of those who miss Clarkmoody's BingBong sounds:
http://bitcoinsounds.0x3d.lu/

This started out as a little dirty hack for myself but as Bitcoin is quite boring today I polished it a little and so with this post consider it as released!

Awesome!!

Would you by any chance consider publishing the source code?

You ignore the chart indicators because of your belief, and then complain later and ask why you are losing.

I ignore the chart indicators, because I still don't know how to read chart indicators. I'm still learning, so I follow this forum for advice, and then follow the forum's advice not to follow any advice I find on this forum.

I have no idea whether I should be shorting right now and buying back lower. Last time I panic sold, I lost 1/8 of my investment.

If I cut my losses now it will go up again and I will lose more. Fuck it, I'm hodling.

g) In 2014, price will visit above 1000 = 35%

And this is what I am waiting for Wink
I bet it will happen until 1st May 2014.  Mark my words - I will check all my predictions later and we will see how many % were correct :p

Marked.

BTW Jorge, my own wikipedia entry was so regularly defaced that in the end it was easiest to just delete it.  It's the Internet.  With the very best will in the world, get over it. Wink

And which Wikipedia page might that have been?

You're welcome. I bought most of them for less than $20. I have plenty more in cold storage. How dumb do you think we are?

I don't think you're dumb. I'm just celebrating the rise of BTC price, which is, last time I checked, a Good Thing (TM).

Could be a bull trap for all I know Smiley Show some sense of humor, man.

Some fiat entered. It will probably be around Wednesday when the dumping continues. Till then, the dumpers are waiting if maybe more fiat will be wired, so they can sell with an better price.
I'm not buying into this because it isn't very probable that much more fiat will enter. There hasn't been any important good news about the markets, so nothing has really changed in the long-term.

It's Monday so could it be that people are waiting for their deposits to hit the exchanges? You know, the deposits they wired when they saw cheap bitcoins at 400 yesterday. And what will these people do Tue/Wed when the fiat is there? BUY!

Just my guess.

As expected the price dropped slightly but all in all a fairly stable weekend. Gonna be a rough week though  Sad

But an even more stable weekend will follow after the 18th?

Would someone please explain to me why we see a sinificant price difference between different exchanges? E.g. It's 412 vs 398 on Bitstamp vs BTC-e?

Could one send fiat to BTC-e, buy BTC, send it to Bistamp, sell, and withdraw ad infinitum?
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 12, 2014, 11:11:40 AM
I feel it is very risky to short now. I bought in the 300s and feel if I short now best case scenario is I buy back at 390-400. Because dinosaur.

What's a dinosaur?

I am so sure that in next 10h we will see ~+30$ that I can almost bet on it Tongue

Why?
