Nice graphics and website. The name is pretty lol. Not many scrypt coins these days, wish there was a pool set up. Maybe someone can ask dedicated or coinking?

Cinnicoin - The Future of Cryptocurrency

Love that logo. It kind of look like a security vault!

I guess a more "apple-ish" design of it would totally nail it, here this looks a bit like microsoft design. I guess with a white background and the black letters, it could be awesome.

I'm trying something different than the usual crypto logo. Nerds are not always good with design lol.

Quark has a very cool design...

So yes, I tried white background.

This one looks the most professional imo

Any thought about android or ios wallet?
Most of people are using smart phone now.
So please add it to your working list Smiley

Yeah an iOS wallet would be nice. I'd like to keep my coins on me instead of my PC to keep them safe from my roommate.

So the only pool in OP won't let you register without a coin address?

Retarded...

just what i thought.

I guess it gives the pool ops a way to mine like crap for the first couple of minutes whilst the majority of miners are rushing to download a wallet.

Well, unless the dev gives us wallet 15 minutes early, then we'll have plenty of time.

No, the new MPOS code doesn't allow you to register without an address. I had the same problem with another coin launch recently.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Doje Coin is now Bank Note on: May 29, 2014, 04:47:54 PM
I didn't see a topic in here so I figured I would post it myself. This coin made it through PoW and into PoS with 0 forks! Not bad for a coin that started as a joke Smiley The network is extremely fast too, most transactions are fully confirmed in less than 10 minutes!! The website is now live http://banknotecrypto.com/ and on twitter @BankNoteCrypto

From the website:

Bank Note originated as DojeCoin, originally released as a "joke" currency it quickly gained popularity. Bank Note is the new brand for DojeCoin, devised to give the currency an identity of its own that doesn't borrow from DogeCoin - a fun currency in its own right. We felt it would be more respectful to "do our own thing". Bank Note has many attractive services and a fantastic community.

30 Billion coins in circulation - not too much, not too little, a balance between a tipping currency and a store of value.
Fast staking and transaction processing, great network speed.
 Fast and usable wallet.
 Strong and growing community.
Strong base of investors pushing development and effort behind the currency.

Bank Note is trading on bittrex, still under the doje name: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=LTC-DOJE
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GridSeed 5-chip USB miner voltage mod on: April 18, 2014, 02:52:27 AM

This is what my cmdline.txt file looks like:

dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 console=ttyAMA0,115200 kgdboc=ttyAMA0,115200 console=tty1 $
dwc_otg.fiq_enable=1 dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_enable=1 dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_mask=0x3
dwc_otg.nak_holdoff=32

Is that what you have?

added dwc_otg.nak_holdoff=32 to the end of my cmdline.txt and now she is running with gridseeds pluged in! Thanks Mate!

You're welcome. I'm glad I could help someone out after all of the help I've received from others on this board.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GridSeed 5-chip USB miner voltage mod on: April 17, 2014, 11:12:54 PM
Lol I thought I was the only one getting pissed at these stupid gridseeds.... Right now only 11 of 14 are working after the mod they were all working then a couple stopped submitting shares resoldered the resistor those started working again then a few more stopped resoldered those now 3 more aren't submitting shares. Smdh ..... Guess that's what happens when I mess with shit.

Yeah. These have been nothing but trouble so far. If my blood pressure goes up any more, I'm gonna have a heart attack, and finally be at peace...lol

So far I have modded 2. 1 of them has quit working all together, at any freq. The other seems to be working at a higher freq, if I put it on it's own PC, because I can't figure out how to adjust it as part of a group.
Another one has stopped working as well. I didn't mod that one.
No single software seems to be able to handle these properly. Nothing works.
Before I bought them, All the posts made them sound so great. I guess I am doing things all wrong, because they are NOT.

It sounds like you may have moved on from the Pi, but I had the same problems with it while running scripta. I followed the directions in this thread - http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=70437 and have been running since the 8th without any problems. Let me know if you decide to give it another go and I might be able to help if you run into any other problems.

I have tried this, but when i add "dwc_otg.fiq_enable=1 dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_enable=1 dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_mask=0x3" to cmdline.txt my pi no longer responds.

Any suggestions?

This is what my cmdline.txt file looks like:

dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 console=ttyAMA0,115200 kgdboc=ttyAMA0,115200 console=tty1 $
dwc_otg.fiq_enable=1 dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_enable=1 dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_mask=0x3
dwc_otg.nak_holdoff=32

Is that what you have?

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - rent your rig, get more! on: April 17, 2014, 05:31:49 PM
Hello.

I am new here and i just rented my farm out for the first time. From the start all rigs got pointed to betarigs line in the config but now after an hour about half of the rigs are back mining on my own pool.
What do i do ? Is it something i can do or is it the person renting my rigs that have to keep an eye of everything to be ponted to the right pool ?

edit. Now ,most rigs are pointed right again. I guess renter is on to it now.

Yeah, the renter probably changed pools or his pool got disconnected. If you have failover setup properly, your miner should go back to the Betarigs pool after a few minutes.
I dont know what he was doing but my rigs got pointed right by themself after a while.
But now i got an message that he have started a ticket because he has not recieved any hash at all.

All my workers are pointed right and they have been working for 100% for several hours.

I just started a support ticket about the problem. Have there been any problems like this at betarigs today ?

I received a message from the renter of my rig this morning saying the same thing. When I looked at cgminer they had switched over to my backup pool but by the time I sent him a message back they had already switched back to his pool. It lasted for about 10 minutes at 8am PST. I gave him an extra half hour and he was happy with that.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GridSeed 5-chip USB miner voltage mod on: April 17, 2014, 04:56:30 PM

Yes, buddy...

This is what I am doing first...test them as they come...stock...no mods...@850MHz ...to check how good are they...each one... Wink

Second...:  Apply the thermal mod...Paste...new, thicker, better thermal pads...shims, if nesessary...TEST again...Most of them are going to 950 min...1000Mhz...NO volt mods yet...!

Out of 10 => 4 @ 1000...4 @975...1@950 ...1 slacker @925MHz ...NO HW errors...this is my belief that every HW error is lost...non submited...unpaid work...this is like your miner STOPPED for this period of time...5-10-15 min...so I opted for NO HW errors at all...

Voltage mod next...I am using my own...Test again...etc...

Capisco...?... Grin

It is just me...you could create your own test/mod...

Cheers...Beer here... Wink

Thanks for the response ZiG, I will be more than happy to take some screenshots of cgminer before and after to post and let everyone know the results I was able to achieve with this mod.

Just so I'm clear, you remove the existing thermal pads/paste, clean the unit with alcohol and then apply paste to the chip and bottom of the heatsink with the copper shim or new pad sandwiched between?

Since I don't have the money or skills to do the voltage mod, I wonder if running them in dual-mode might help get to ROI faster.

No, it most certainly will not unless you get free electricity. Scrypt-only uses 1/10th the power.

Good point, I forgot about that. Looks like I need to learn how to solder so I can do the volt mods...
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed GC3355 5 Chip Setup/power/windows/linux/rpi by UnicornHasher on: April 16, 2014, 11:12:34 PM
Prices have dropped fast on these...down to $100 a unit. Not nearly the $14.40 price they should be sold at to compete with the Titan but getting there.

Very true, which is why I'm not buying any more mining equipment. When the big script asics come online, even gridseed blades won't be doing you much good. With the difficulty increases you'll be lucky to make decent profit after ROI, if you even get there.

Yea, I kinda regret ordering when they were ~$260/each but all in all it's been fun and has kept me busy. ROI will be very tight if ever on them. I know I didn't make up the difference in the extra month or so I had them before they came down to the $95 range.

I wont be getting the G-Blade units....might get some more Infinity USB's (what gridseed calls their 5 chip miners now) if the price gets to about $60/each just to fill out my custom case Smiley    ....and maybe cost average down the ROI a bit....but I'm guessing that unless we get really lucky or do some creative altcoin mining it will be tough.

Same here, I paid $2200 for my 10 and then the price dropped $500 while they were on the way. Awesome. Nothing I can do about it now except try to make as much BTC in the meantime.

Since I don't have the money or skills to do the voltage mod, I wonder if running them in dual-mode might help get to ROI faster. I'm running the dbartle cgminer on a headless Pi(Raspbian), is that possible to do with the way I have everything set up now?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GridSeed 5-chip USB miner voltage mod on: April 16, 2014, 11:06:29 PM
I posted an idea here:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=482352.msg6222366#msg6222366 to resolve the shoddy work on the heatsink/pcb design in regard to it not making contact with all 5 GC3355 chips due to two components that are taller.

It's easy (if you have a steady hand) and takes about 5 minutes...afterwards you have perfect contact to all 5 GC3355 chips.

... and for your reference ...:

My post just above nst6563 post...explaining the reason for a bad contact between the chips and heatsink...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=482352.msg6208700#msg6208700

Good job, nst6563...

What are your results after the mod...any improvements...?

ZiG

ZiG, I saw a post where you had said you were able to run up to 1000MHz stable with the thermal mod above. Is that without doing any of the voltage mods? TIA
15  Economy / Reputation / coinminer69er LeaseRig.Net Reputation Thread on: April 16, 2014, 09:43:13 PM
Hello all,

I have 10 gridseed miners that will be available on LR. They are currently set for maximum efficiency, running between 850-900 MHz with little to no HW errors.

GSDMiner69er is made up of 10 ASIC gridseed miners, running stable at 3.6 MH/s minimum. I have a very stable internet connection, but refunds will be given if there is any downtime.

I will also offer a 5% discount to returning customers. Since this are gridseed ASICs, they worked best on vardiff pools with at least 256 difficulty.

The link to lease them will be posted as soon as I am approved, let me know if you have any questions or concerns I can address.

I had issues with my RPi running Raspbian freezing/crashing for almost two weeks, but have now been up and running for 3 days since following the advice in this thread- http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=70437

I appreciate the help of everyone in this thread, hopefully this info can help others.

One question for you pros out there; now that it's running stable, every so hours one of my miners will stop working and instead of hashing cgminer shows it as "OFF". Simply turning the powered USB hub and then back on gets everything working again, but it's a little frustrating. It's happened a few times and is a different unit every time, so I can't see it being a problem with the hub or a cable. Any suggestions?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed Miner Support/Tuning on: April 04, 2014, 01:21:16 AM
I appreciate the offer wolfey but I am not comfortable doing that myself yet and can't afford to have you do it right now. Maybe when I get some more coins in the wallet...
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed Miner Support/Tuning on: April 03, 2014, 06:59:28 PM
Thanks to the help of everyone on this board I've been able to get my GSDs up and running for the past few days. I am using the stock cgminer 3.7.2 from the unicorn hasher guide and have noticed that at 850 mHz I am getting very few rejects and just a few HW errors even after 24 hours. I'd like to change the version of cgminer to the dbartle build so that I can increase the frequency in smaller increments, but can't find anything online to help with that. What is the process for updating the cgminer build? TIA

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed Miner Support/Tuning on: March 28, 2014, 09:20:24 PM
I would suggest to try to plug the Gridseed directly into Raspberry with a known good USB cable. Make sure the Raspberry is powered off, plug in the Gridseed, power both on. If that works you can then test the hub.

That worked! Looks like one of my GSDs is DOA though, and that was the one I had pulled out of the box to test with so that definitely didn't make things any easier. By swapping the USB cable that was connected to the RPi to the different GSDs I was able to get them all up and running individually. I guess the usb hub I got from zoom hash was DOA as well. I've got another one from Amazon on the way so hopefully that's all I need to get them all up and running. Thanks for the help Smiley

Are you using the cgminer optimised for gridseed? normal cgminer doesn't detect gridseed devices.

can you type in
Code:
lsusb

and post the results here please?

I did used this command to install cgminer -   wget https://db.tt/UygLkqwd -O cgminer
based on this tutorial on reddit - http://www.reddit.com/r/litecoinmining/comments/20qddx/a_simple_guild_to_set_up_gridseed_ltc_mining_rig/

With the gridseed plugged into hub(green LED is on, red lights up occasionally), with hub powered on (plugged into PSU and red LED is on) and plugged into RPi, this is what I get when I run lsusb -

Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0424:9512 Standard Microsystems Corp.
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0424:ec00 Standard Microsystems Corp.
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 050d:945a Belkin Components F7D1101 v1 Basic Wireless Adapter [Realtek RTL8188SU]

I tried the standard zoomhash image, hashra and scripta yesterday, but had trouble setting up the wifi adapter so I went with the standard raspbian setup that was in the Unicorn Hasher guide.
