1  Economy / Reputation / Re: salsamoves reputation thread on: April 06, 2014, 11:00:28 PM
I leased salsamoves' rig salsa2 for 6 hours yesterday. There were some hiccups that were quickly fixed and lease time was extended to compensate. I was able to rehire for another 6 hours at 10% discount. Great deal! At the end, I had leased the system for over 15 hours, but only paid for 6 + (6 * 0.9).

Before my 12 hour lease ended, salsamoves offered to let me rehire at a 20% discount. But unfortunately, my coins were tied up at the exchange and was unable to rehire before the lease ran out. (I use CoinedUp and I guess I got greedy, as nobody bought my coins at the rate I wanted  Grin I had to cancel my sell and try again at a lower rate, but I'm still waiting for them to sell.  Huh

Will rehire again, especially with the 10% & 20% discounts! Cheesy

[ Edit: I got my coins converted to BTC and was able to rehire salsamoves' rig for 6 hours, and immediately got a 20% discount for rehiring for another 6. Huzzah! Thanks, salsamoves. Maybe I'll transfer some paper bills into BTC and rehire for 72 hours if I can get that 20% discount again :-) ]
2  Economy / Reputation / Re: dir14 reputation thread on: April 06, 2014, 07:26:31 AM
I thought I had posted this feedback before, but here it is!

I leased dir14's rig several times last week, for a total time of 36 hours. In those 36 hours, there were only a couple of times when the rig was out of service. dir14 extended my lease every time, with a little bonus time. He was proactive and did the lease extension before I could PM him.

Excellent rig, proactive, prompt operator, with great customer service.

While I'm waiting for my equipment to come, any suggestions for RPi images?

I was just going to use the one on zoomhash's site.  Would it handle 20 GS?

Any experiences with Scripta?  And would BAMT work?

BAMT won't work because it's for PCs, the RPi uses an entirely different processor, not PC compatible.

I've been using the HashRa Controla image modified by DarkKnight. Here's the thread on litecointalk : https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=18096.0

Mining SHA256 and scrypt coins in dual mode works right out of the box with the HashRa Controla image. A little bummed that in dual mode, it only reports the SHA256 hashrate. You have to check your scrypt hashrate at the pool. But maybe somebody fixes that soon.

I haven't tried Scripta, maybe I'll give it a try sometime if I'm curious. Last I checked (a couple days ago) it didn't do dual mode, but maybe you don't care about that.

anyone ordered with credit card there? is it safe?

I ordered with my bank debit card on Thursday afternoon, and just received my order an hour ago. So the 1-3 day shipping estimate is legit.

I'm just about to start setting it up with my Raspberry Pi. Grin

I'm currently halfway through my first 12 hour lease with Byt411, and it's going great. I'm leasing GalaxyHasherOne. Does what it says on the tin. Highly recommended. Will lease again and again.
