Big congrats to Papua New Guinea Women squad for winner of ICC Women's T20 World Cup East Asia Pacific Qualifier competition and Papua New Guinea Women squad really played this competition with full enthusiasm. In final match Vanuatu women squad against Papua New Guinea Women squad,  Vanuatu women squad was begun match first with batting and batters were managed to collect 113 scores after playing 20 overs inning with lost of 9 batter wickets. I really appreciated the fantastic performance of bowlers who restricted Vanuatu women squad to low quality scores and msse this victory quite simple. Thanks to Brenda Tau and Naoani Vare both build strong batting partnership and both collected 39 and 57 scores respectively. Papua New Guinea squad eaisly emerged victory with big lead 9 wickets.

Papua New Guinea Women would qualify for the global qualifier tournament, while Vanuatu will be eligible to take part in the new tournaments announced for emerging teams by the ICC. Bot these teams have been on the downslide for some time now and at least in women's cricket it is good to see some sort of a rebound. Let's also not forget the fact that these teams are entirely consisted of native players, unlike the case with some of the other teams such as Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates.

This match will be remembered because of Muhammad Nabi who helped his team in making a come back in the match. I saw the last over of Afghanistan innings and Muhammad Nabi hit five sixes on first five balls of 20th over. Sri Lanka faced no problem while chasing because Mendis didn't lose his wicket and remain on crease till his team won the match. Afghanistan gave a good target but it was there bowlers who were not able to win the game for them. Afghanistan now eliminated from Asia Cup but they fought hard in every match they played.

Mohammad Nabi made 60 with a strike rate of close to 300. But that was not enough to get a win for his team. They are out of the tournament now, with just two points (from the win against Hong Kong). Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will qualify for the super-4 stage from Group B. Anyway this was more or less expected. Afghanistan is a very inconsistent team, and that is for both batting and bowling. Nabi is 40-years old and he is the only one who performs with some sort of consistency.

Indeed, Benzema has the same role as Ronaldo. They are the key players of their teams, they are also the captain teams. However, Al Nassr seems better because other players can replace Ronaldo's position if Ronaldo get injured. Felix or Mane can play as a striker, meanwhile Al Ittihad has no replacement for Benzema. With many big matches, I think Al Ittihad is too risky if they only rely on Benzema for the whole season. I am surprised they don't try to sign another strong striker in the previous transfer windows. Anyway, regarding the match Al Ittihad vs Al Nassr in September 27, I think Al Nassr seems to be the favorite to win the match. Al Nassr has more strong players, especially in the attacking line.  Smiley

Do you think that Al Nassr is better than Al-Ittihad when it comes to managing the dependency of players? I thought otherwise. Before João Félix and Kingsley Coman joined Al Nassr, they had the combination of Sadio Mané and Jhon Durán to support Cristiano Ronaldo. But this combination was not working well and it was adding a lot of stress on Ronaldo. On the other hand, although Karim Benzema was handling most of the load he was getting a lot of support from N'Golo Kanté, Moussa Diaby and Steven Bergwijn.

A debate has been ongoing for some time, regarding whether ODI format should be continued, as it sometimes loses relevance compared to T20 and Test. But I have another question here. We have separate ICC events for all these formats. For example, for T20 format there is the Men's T20 World Cup, while for test format there is ICC World Test Championship. The ICC has different pathway events (qualifiers) for each of these tournaments. Are these different tournaments necessary? Why can't there by a single qualifier for all the formats?

You have a point here but I feel the FIFA new interest in increasing the Spot is definitely a good strategy to foster world peace. It has always been same set of people featuring in the world cup, including these unknown countries could help bring them to limelight and let people know their existence. Thanks goodness for the game of football, most countries would have remained irrelevant always till infinity. There's nothing absurd about watching Uzbekistan Vs New zealand as it's part of the game. It would even be so good for we gamblers, at least you would see a sure odd straight win or over 4.5 even though the game of football starts and ends with surprises.

If the name of the tournament is "World" Cup, then you need to have representation from all around the world. When you reduce the number of participants to just 32, it is being reduced to a Latin American and European competition with little relevance to the other regions. This time, there will be adequate representation from all the regions, including Oceania. Countries such as Uzbekistan and Jordan will participate for the first time ever. And that is the way to go.

Namibia may beat Zimbabwe in today match. I am watching their game and I am praising Namibia. Namibia won the toss and elected to bat and batted brilliantly. They scored 204 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. They have been batting well against Zimbabwe since the beginning of the series. They will definitely win today's match.

Latest score: 169 runs for 9 wickets in 19 overs. Zimbabwe need 34 runs from 6 balls to win.

Namibia won the last match, but Zimbabwe won the series 2-1. This is the first time ever that Zimbabwe managed to win a T20I series against Namibia. And the momentum will be with them, ahead of the 2025 Men's T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final (which is scheduled to start in a month's time). Top two teams will qualify for the 2026 T20 World Cup. Namibia and Zimbabwe will be the favorites to qualify, but last time Uganda managed to upset Zimbabwe and managed to qualify ahead of them.

The way this match (India A vs AUS A) is progressing, it's quite clear it's batting deck and every one minting runs and improving their list A stats. Only difference is scoring runrate from both sides.

Probably it's 4 days affair so don't think spinners will see the 5th day deck.

Players such as Abhimanyu Easwaran, Narayan Jagadeesan and Devdutt Padikkal get tons of runs in these sort of matches and they fail completely when they face the regular players from England or Australia. On the other hand, Shreyas Iyer got out for a single-digit score today. This was a good opportunity for him to cement his place in the India senior squad, but once again he wasted it. My question here is whether these performances matter for the Indian team selection? Or the selectors will ignore these matches?

The final match in the T20I series between Namibia and Zimbabwe is going on. For the first time in this series, Namibia was able to setup a total of more than 200. They managed to reach a total of 204/7, as a result of good knocks from Jan Frylinck and Ruben Trumpelmann. Zimbabwe lost three wickets early on - those of Brian Bennett, Brendan Taylor and Tadiwanashe Marumani. A win here would provide a big boost to Namibia's T20I team ranking, which will be useful for the T20 World Cup qualification.

Yes Pakistan have talented players but they have a weak mentality. Their batting against UAE was not good at all as they lost the crucial wicket of Saim Ayub in the first over and the second wicket for 9 runs. After the humiliating defeat against India, they needed more practice to improve their weak points but they are repeating the same mistakes. If they face India again in the Super Four, Pakistan will lose again. They are so mentally disturbed on the day of the match against India that they cannot compete. I have seen this trend in the past too. I think Pakistan team needs a major change and practice is more important to improve their mental health.

They somehow managed to get full points from the match versus the United Arab Emirates. At one point, Pakistan was struggling at 93/6. But then the big hits from Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Haris took them to a respectable total of 146/9. Once they crossed 140, it was beyond the reach of the UAE batsmen, especially against experienced bowlers such as Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Rahul Chopra and Dhruv Parashar tried their best, but the lower and middle order collapsed like a peck of cards.

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: September 18, 2025, 01:47:11 AM
I wouldn't even say that they used to be fit because if we make a physical comparison, today's players are almost like robots compared to 30 years ago: I remember that in the '90s it was almost weird to hear about a 35-year-old player, it sounded like super old, and many player at 32-33 years old were ending their carriers. Now you see players like Ronaldo, Modric, Thiago Silva, Pepe, etc, still playing at high level at 40 or 40+ years old, it's crazy!
But to get back to what you were saying, in that case those players from the past were simply incredibly good, Maradona himself declared that he played several times in horrible physical conditions and yet he was making the difference on the pitch. Do we want to talk about Ronaldinho? He would train coming directly from the club, without sleeping. The new players rely more on their physical condition rather than technique and fantasy, that is the real difference.

Well.. may be true. But I can say one thing with surety. Coaches back then used to command a lot more respect and used to be quite strict with discipline. Mário Zagallo, Cesare Maldini, Aimé Jacquet and Philippe Troussier of South Africa are good examples. But now if a coach tries to get strict, the players rebel against him and in the end he most probably leaves the team. I hope that doesn't repeat with Carlo Ancelotti. An Italian managing the Brazilian team will be the first time ever, BTW.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: September 18, 2025, 01:34:54 AM
Yes, you are absolutely right. Pakistan International cricket team was very unhappy and they want to postpone this match but they could not be successful in their mission as Pakistan cricket team situation is very bad and they could not bear that kind of loss because there could be millions of dollars loss because ICC gave dollars after winning the tournament And Pakistan could lose this money .

But they arranged all the situation And now situation is fine at that mo.Pakistan cricket team want respect but they are disrespected in the last match as they want to compensate that And they want fair situation between these two teams because we saw Umpires injustice in the last match.

It is not just about the prize money from the Asia Cup. The PCB receives around $34.51 million from the ICC in the form of revenue share every year. In case they pull out of the Asia Cup, then the ICC will also suspend them. Since Jay Shah is the chairman of the ICC, Pakistan should not expect any mercy from him. And if they get suspended, the revenue share also vanishes. In the end, PCB did the right thing by playing the match. Else they would have got obliterated by Jay Shah.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: September 17, 2025, 02:08:13 PM
The match between Pakistan and United Arab Emirates is delayed, as the Pakistani players are still in their hotel and refuse to leave for the stadium. Chairman of PCB, Mohsin Naqvi is in meeting with Ramiz Raja and Najam Sethi regarding the options, but there is a good chance that Pakistan will boycott today's match. And now let's discuss what will be the repercussions. ACC is definitely going to suspend Pakistan, but since Jay Shah controls the ICC, I expect some action from them as well.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Women's Cricket Prediction & Discussion - T20 & ODI on: September 17, 2025, 01:47:22 PM
This series has actually given us a different interest which we got from the victory of Australia Women. India Women were expected to victory but they could not play well against Australia Women. In today's match also, India Women batsmen have scored 235 runs which is not such a good target and in today's match also the hope is being lost and if India Women bowling is not strong and good then it will be difficult for them to remain consistent in the series. Although Australia Women bowling was strong due to which they got the whole team out in 40 overs, if they were not careless then their target could have been quite strong in this match. Australia Women team has an easy way to victory today's match too. This match has become difficult for India Women because India Women is looking weak in this series while they are considered quite strong.

I think they have a better chance of winning the match today. India Women made 292, thanks to contributions from Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma. And in return, Australia has already lost 3 wickets. Ellyse Perry and Annabel Sutherland are at the crease and they have an uphill task in hand. Indian bowlers have been impressive so far, especially the opening duo of Kranti Goud and Renuka Singh. Sneh Rana also picked up the important wicket of Beth Mooney.

Times have certainly changed but we cann't say that the old players were more disciplined than these ones, I think that times have changed but the behavior of some players remains the same, like they used to spend evenings and late at night, they still do today.

The old players also used to party a lot. But the difference is that they used to be fit when they are on field. But the younger generation doesn't simply care, especially when they are playing for the national squad. Indiscipline has been severe in Brazil, compared to other teams from the CONMEBOL confederation such as Argentina and Uruguay. But now the situation has become critical. During the initial stages of CONMEBOL qualifiers, Brazil was not even in top-5 position in the points table.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 17, 2025, 01:27:56 PM
These three players are a pretty perfect combination for Al Nassr this season, as Al Nassr fans are eager for the team to win the Saudi Pro League. With the season still long, they are expected to focus more on the team and the league, especially after Al Nassr's first two matches of the season, which saw them immediately top the standings. And I hope they can maintain that position until the end of the season so that these three players can be truly happy, and all their fans can celebrate at the end of the season.

It was the combination that was selected by Cristiano Ronaldo. He kicked out Jhon Durán, and brought in João Félix. And from what we can see, it is working perfectly fine. Anyway, in a few hours from now Al Nassr will play against FC Istiklol (as part of the AFC Champions League Two). From what I have heard, Ronaldo is not confirmed for this match, and Jorge Jesus has included João Félix instead. Ronaldo maybe keeping an eye on his workload as well, as the FIFA World Cup is scheduled in less than a year's time.

Till now it is not clear whether the match between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates will go ahead as planned. From what we have heard, the toss has been delayed as the Pakistan team is yet to arrive at the stadium. They are threatening to pull out from the tournament, unless the match referee (Andy Pycroft) is sacked, but the ACC and the ICC is staying firm in rejecting that demand. A public announcement from the PCB is due soon, as per ESPN Cricinfo. In case PCB pulls out, they risk being banned by the ACC.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: September 16, 2025, 02:21:25 PM
It is most definitely not that simple. Sky had to say all that regardless of his personal views due to BCCI pressure on him which is why all of the blame completely falls on the boards from both sides.

They shouldn't have mixed politics with sports for sure, but literally everyone expected this sort of stuff thanks to the annoying braindead politicians from both sides.

Well.. let's think about it with a cool head. In Indian social media, there was a massive campaign to boycott the entire tournament. If that had happened, the ACC would have suffered massive losses, and the worst hit boards would be PCB, SLCB, BCB and the smaller associate nations. I would say that whatever theatrics happened on field was still better than India pulling out of this tournament. Obviously PCB is still not happy, but they are definitely not going to say no when the ACC distributes funds from this tournament.

Tomorrow we have the United Arab Emirates vs Pakistan match is going to be very interesting. Pakistan lost to India, while won against Oman. And that leaves them with 2 points. UAE has the same number of points from their win against Oman. So in case they are able to beat Pakistan tomorrow, then they will qualify for the semi-finals on points. Given Pakistan's horrible form during the second match, I will not rule out an upset. The only thing that reduces the chance is that UAE is also going through a period of turmoil, due to the resignation/termination of several of their senior players.

Yesterday's final match was played between PNG women against Vanuatu women.
PNG women win this game easily with the loss of one wicket. The PNG women team played outstanding cricket in Both format bowling and batting. Naoni makes 57 runs with the strike rate of 120 and PNG bowlers  bowling today very aggressive and restricted to Vanuatu women team at lowest total and chase the target easily. A very well played PNG women team it's all happened with team effort. Because when all team players played quality cricket and execute their plan in the ground then every team wins. So conragts  to the PNG team on a well deserving victory.

Big win for Papua New Guinea women, and with that they have qualified for the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier. Now all the participants for the main qualifier tournament is confirmed. A total of 10 teams will compete in the global qualifier tournament, and out of that 4 will qualify for the 2026 Women's T20I World Cup. Out of the 10 teams, 3 are full members (Zimbabwe, Ireland and Bangladesh), while the remaining 7 are associate members. Tournament will be hosted by Nepal.

Zimbabwe is playing very well in this series and they have victory the first match of this series and now they are playing the second match. Namibian batsmen have scored 169 runs in 20 overs which is a good target but if there is any difficulty in their bowling then this target can be even stronger. Zimbabwe team will now have to play well to achieve this target and victory this match too. Kruger and Loftie Eaton have scored the most runs among Namibian batsmen due to which their target has become quite good and Ngarava and Evans have bowled the best among Zimbabwean bowlers who have taken 2 wickets and given away less runs. If Namibia works hard in their bowling as well then this series will become really interesting after their victory.

Zimbabwe is off to a flying start, as Brian Bennet is smashing the Namibian bowlers all around the park. Namibia needed to score around 200 to win this match, and they fell short by around 30 runs. That is not enough for Ruben Trumpelmann and JJ Smit to restrain the Zimbabwean batsmen. Retirement of David Wiese seems to have negatively impacted the performances of Namibia. They lack someone who can make big hits towards the end overs, and also act as a pace-bowling allrounder.
