Namibia may beat Zimbabwe in today match. I am watching their game and I am praising Namibia. Namibia won the toss and elected to bat and batted brilliantly. They scored 204 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. They have been batting well against Zimbabwe since the beginning of the series. They will definitely win today's match.

However Kusal Mendis of Sri Lanka was equally brilliant with unbeaten 74 runs that secured victory for his team. Muhammad Nabi performance was explosive but Mendis was about carefully controlling chase. Outcome of match was more important than just win for Sri Lanka. Their victory also meant that Bangladesh would not be eliminated from tournament which was huge relief for their fans.

Many will be impressed by Sri Lanka's performance in this Asia Cup match, but who can say why the second best team in Asia is performing so atrociously?They should know that they should not be arrogant about cricket because this team has lost two consecutive matches in this Asia Cup due to which we can see that they are already out of this tournament. Overconfidence is a bad thing, and it makes the situation worse when the players of a team criticise the good opponents. I wasn't expecting Sri Lanka to win the match as the target was good enough, but I'm glad that they have won the match. They have chased the target very easily. Kusal Mendis has played a great innings. Anyway, I feel bad for 'Dunith Wellalage' as his father died due to heart attack during the match. It wasn't a good decision to use the spinners in the last over of a T20 match.

Any unexpected event can happen in cricket which has happened long ago in history and is happening now. Dunith Wellagece bowled the previous three overs quite controlled and in the last one over he became unexpectedly uncontrolled due to which Mohammad Nabi scored 32 runs with the help of five sixes. But in the end Afghanistan could not win the match as a result of which Mohammad Nabi's authority was erased. However, the death of Dunith Wellagece's father due to a heart attack will really be a sad chapter in his life.

Winning and losing in cricket is easy to accept, but someone's death is not. It is truly unacceptable that a cricketer's father, Dunith Wellalage, died of a heart attack during a match after his son's poor over. It is easy to understand how much a father really hopes for his child and enjoys the match, thinking about his child's career, when you think about Dunith Wellalage's father. Our condolences to the family of Dunith Wellalage and may God grant his family the strength to bear this unimaginable loss.

Today India will play with Oman in Asia Cup at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. However big game for Super Fours was actually yesterday between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Sri Lanka won meaning they and Bangladesh made it to next round while Afghanistan was out. So today India vs. Oman match will just decide final group positions as India Pakistan Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are already confirmed for Super Fours which starts tomorrow. And today match India will easily win this match.

Where did the Afghanistan captain go with such arrogant words? They even declared themselves as the second strongest team in Asia. This proves that Allah gives concessions but does not give up! If Mohammad Nabi had not gotten that life, then the innings would have ended in Afghanistan within 130 runs. Kusal Mendis' outstanding game has been taken away. Kusal's game was truly extraordinary. I do not agree here, this was good target because Sri Lanka was in good control from start of this game, and they restricted Afghanistan well but in last over Mohammad Nabi hit 31 which gave some good encouragement but Sri Lankan batting lineup was impressive.

Despite losing early wickets Sri Lanka stayed calm and steered good chase which led early exit to this Afghan team in this big Asian event. Now I am expecting good fight in next round with three teams are on same level India is surely having good balanced side still one ball or over can change match momentum which is always part of this T20 format. Final is expected to be played between India vs Sri Lanka in my opinion still it's never been easy to predict about these games.

I'm deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dunith Wellalage's father. I guess the news is partially true because it's not definitively confirmed that challenging final over directly caused the heart attack. While some reports suggest that the heart attack happened before the last over. Nevertheless, my heart goes out for the young man. May God give him strength to bear the pain of this loss.

Yesterday it was a really super close game between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, and this time Afghanistan is no longer in this Asia Cup. Today is going to be the last and the final game of the group stage in the Asia Cup and then the Super 4 will start. Today is Oman vs India Match.

Afghanistan who were being known as the second-best Asian team has been out of the Asia Cup. Maybe by popular votes in this thread, India won the toss and chose to bat first. They know they'll win it but they want to do it with a statement. They are playing aggressive from the very first ball and even though they have lost Shubman Gill at 5, they are scoring at a run rate over 10. If they maintain this performance, we could see a 200+ score in this match.
Oman is a very weak team at the moment, it's almost entirely different from the team that qualified for this Asia Cup. The long gap between the qualifier and the Asia cup is a reason for this while another reason is how these teams are acquiring players. The Indians and Pakistani nationals that joined Oman team has now moved to US, Canada or other countries for better opportunity while Oman takes more cheap players.

We did not see a big innings from Abhishek Sharma today. But he batted very aggressively. Abhishek Sharma played a great innings of 38 runs from 15 balls. India scored 86 runs in 9 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. I expected  better batting from the Indian batsmen. Sanju Samson is unbeaten on 28 runs from 25 balls. Pandya  has only added 1 run to the scoreboard. We have not seen good batting from Gill either. It will be a shame if India cannot score 200 + against a team like Oman. India should score at least 200 today

After Shubman Gill was dismissed for 5 in the second over, Abhishek Sharma kept run rate going. He batted brilliantly but the batsmen should have been more cautious against the Oman bowlers. Sanju Samson is batting on 47 off 38 balls but the top order batsmen are getting out at regular intervals. Initially it was expected that India would be able to set a target of at least 200 runs but the run rate has slowed down a bit and they have lost 5 wickets for 139 runs from 14.5 overs. India's batting is strong but the batsmen are not doing well in today's match. I think India's practice has been a bit lax as this match is not important for them to qualify for the next round.
