1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Does The CryptoWorld Needs Now? on: May 18, 2015, 11:39:12 AM
Mass adoption is what it needs, but as others stated above, people don't know about Bitcoin.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: May 18, 2015, 11:37:20 AM
If you avoid spending them for no reason and if you keep buying them,
I can guarantee to you that you will grow your coins  Grin

I would rather choose to grow my dollars....Bitcoin is not a good long-term investment for me...

I am guessing you bought in when it was at, or near, the all times high ($1200), right?

I am not an Apple fan so it's the first I have heard of this.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could a cashless Denmark become a bitcoin hub? on: May 07, 2015, 12:27:10 PM
What is it with this Bitcoin hub thing?
Is this some kind of new trend?
Trying to guess where could the Bitcoin hub be.

Bitcoin DOESN'T NEED A HUB?

8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never again be priced over $300. on: May 07, 2015, 07:33:18 AM
... I look forward to intelligent, reasoned arguments for how Bitcoin will again find a value north of $300.
Never is a long time.  The US dollar is an empire-backed currency, Bitcoin is a distributed ledger protocol on the internet. Which of these do you think has the longer lifespan?

Historically speaking empires have lifespans measured in single digit centuries.

That is so true.
Empires have a tendency for self-destruction caused by greed.
The Great Roman Empire for example.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which city do you think can be the global bitcoin hub in the future? on: May 07, 2015, 06:57:17 AM
Bitcoin it about decentralizing, a central hub is the exact opposite.

Exactly, however, Bitcoin is slowly being led to centralization.
Sooner or later most of the large mining operations will vanish due to the expenses of maintaining the operation.
Only the few that can handle the "heat" will survive, and once everyone else is gone, they will be central authority.
- True story - Satoshi said so himself
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which city do you think can be the global bitcoin hub in the future? on: May 07, 2015, 06:47:48 AM
First of all I do not agree that Bitcoin should have a hub.
However, if I was to guess where that hub would be, my bet would be in Amsterdam.
11  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 80s Shooter - Win BitCoins while playing in Android (FREE) on: May 04, 2015, 12:30:29 PM

How is the gameplay?
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: May 04, 2015, 12:28:08 PM
I am not greedy or anything, but if it hit $1000 I would consider it a sign.
A sign that the time has come to create another all times high.
So I will wait a bit more and see what happens.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's killer app? banks could use 1 shared ledger on: May 04, 2015, 12:24:16 PM
So if I get this correctly they are trying to make a shit alt-coin which is centralized?
Basically they want to make the bank version of Ripple, right?
14  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Pick the lucky pixels and win free mBTC | Provably Fair on: May 04, 2015, 12:22:05 PM
Did anyone managed to win on this?
If you have, how much and how?

I tried to play it but it says I have to wait.
Why?
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin actually ready to go mainstream? on: May 04, 2015, 12:20:32 PM
Bitcoin isn't ready at all
First of all, who would wait 10 minutes for a confirmation
Second, who would use bitcoin if the bitcoin still very volatile

Other than those, i think there aren't any problem

I would wait 10 mins rather than a day for international transfer.

cash is still faster though, you need to wait like 10 seconds to take them out of your pockets, and small shops need to wait for confirmations they can't accept pending deposit

That is true, and confirmation times IS an issue, regardless of the fact that the international transfers are faster than banks.
It's not just about money transfers, it's about POS purchases as well.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: russia bitcoin ban on: May 04, 2015, 12:16:54 PM
So are there any Russian on bticointal who can indeed confirm that bitcoin is illegal in practice?

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country#Russia
I'm russian and i cannot confirm this. The bill is, but it isn't adopted yet. Moreover, it uses the concept of "surrogate money" rather than bitcoin or cryptocurrency. Now there are no official restrictions for operation with bitcoin, except cases when you want to pay taxes on the business.
It isn't recommended to use bitcoin simply, especially in the sphere of business.

I found not bad article where partially it speaks -> Russia and India Continue to Consider Cryptocurrencies.

Now the second version of the bill is considered. Already with exceptions in the form of bonus miles, points and to that similar.

(sorry for my poor english)

So basically, Bitcoin is not banned in Russia and the OP is trying to spread FUD?
Is that correct?
17  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Help me and get a prize of 10 mbtc only on: May 04, 2015, 12:13:02 PM
I will not use your personal information personally I have to fill a form do need details.
For indians only but you can also join but not paid by me
Call 18002662020 and get a membership number and send the detail like real name, membership number and phone number through pm and post your address here
Either I will send the 10 mbtc to a single winner or 10 mbtc divided by number of entries max 25

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gavin is an Agent on: May 04, 2015, 11:54:54 AM

NOT verified! Most probably the same hacker, that has sent a message to Theymos using Satoshis GMX email account.

I don't remember there being any verifications with Satoshis signature?
Do you have a source to that claim?
He's talking nonsense.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/kashmirhill/2014/03/06/bitcoin-creator-returns-to-internet-to-say-i-am-not-dorian-nakamoto/

You can see the post there. There is no signature i.e. it was not posted by the real Satoshi.
Here is also a past discussion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763459.0

I read the stories before.
I remember the hacker later contacted theymos asking for Bitcoins.
As if Satoshi needs more of them. LOL
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Edible Password Pill FDA approved on: May 04, 2015, 11:52:34 AM
I saw an article on reddit today about a pill that motorola has developed that has been FDA approved already.

"A quick soak in your gastric juices turns the pioneering pill on, triggering it to transmit an 18-bit, EKG-like signal from your insides. The ingestible micro computer’s (thankfully silent) signal would then automagically unlock your smartphone and other gadgets. Yes, you’ll actively be your very own password beacon for as long as the pill is still inside of you."

This seems like it could be useful for hardware wallets for large face to face transfers or a cold storage wallet.

FDA Approved already?
Of course, it's a way for the governments to track you.

Of course it's going to be approved.
