1  Economy / Service Discussion / Xotika.TV: Bitcoin Turns Adult Entertainment on its Head on: June 25, 2015, 03:27:18 PM

A new adult videochat service is using Bitcoin to disrupt not only payments but the very mechanisms
of the adult entertainment industry.

After almost 20 years of consumers using credit cards and PayPal to access online content, European
platform Xotika.TV has developed an alternative – where everyone gives, receives and transacts entirely
in Bitcoin.

Its creator Cristian Cora, who previously spoke to CoinTelegraph about changing trends in adult entertainment,
hopes that Xotika.TV will make a significant indent and ultimately shift attitudes and practices in the industry.
What is currently commonplace, such as exorbitant commission taken from models’ earnings, delayed payouts
and consumer fraud, can according to Cora be largely solved by using Bitcoin instead of fiat currency.

2  Economy / Service Announcements / Falconwing Media Hires 700 Writers on: June 18, 2015, 03:07:45 PM

Falconwing Media is looking for 682 people to write three-sentence news summaries,
embed them within images that are immune to blocking, and distribute them using social media.

The news service will outcompete "oldmedia" - by writing "about civic
issues relevant to the net generation" and will "pay people well", in Bitcoin.

Don't think they're scam, but very slow to answer for sure - they made me wait for about a week as well but then I was able to cash out.

Best of luck with getting your money back!

this is big step for XMR I think : https://www.poloniex.com/press-releases/2014.07.23-Poloniex-Welcomes-New-Monero-XMR-Markets
I have to say they have really good promotion.

Speaking about promotion! Only one question: How much$$$ ??

This actually says a lot about what you guys think building a coin is about, and probably why you are falling farther and farther behind.

The answer is zero. No money was paid. Poloniex decided on their own this is something their customers would want. I have no idea if they are right but I guess they know their business better than I do.

To take the coin only because they paid for it is not a good strategy. I highly doubt that it's interesting to customers

I have made some calculations on CryptoNote based coins profitability yesterday:

DIFF is difficulty (Mh)
PRICE  is price of 1 coin in BTC via https://cryptonote.exchange.to/market/bcn/btc
BR is block reward, BR(BTC) is block reward price in BTC
PROF is mining profitability (BTC you get per 1Mh)

Wow, dude, thx you so much! Is there a website or usefull application which could help me to get this stuff automatically? Just woundering because it will make things clearer and easier for newbies!

Anyone want to take pity on a linux noob. I am trying to graduate to linux and wanted to see if I could get a machine up and mining Bytecoin.

Problem:
When I decompress the bytecoin-linux.tar.gz file I get a segmentation error.

Now I have never tried to decompress tar files before so it is possible I am doing something wrong.
The command used is "tar -zxvf bytecoin-linux.tar.gz" this seems to work. It runs without error and decompresses the files to the subdirectory called root/Downloads/bytecoin.

I can see all of the decompressed files when I explore the disk with iceweasel. However, when I try to access them via the terminal I can get into the directory but at that point I cannot see them. The command "dir" returns "segmentation error".

My linux experience is very limited. Am I doing something wrong in the decompress process?

The same question. I'm about to install SteamOS and i never used linux before but want to. Does this problem has a solution on Linux? And which version of Linux should i install to solve it? (maybe SteamOS isn't a good decision?)

even if it happens you don't need to go back 5years..! just note down the winners of all the games played today..! or try to get the marketting charts with you and than just go 1or2days behind.. if you want to time travel for money, atleast this is my plan ..!
