Ora isn't cloning Qora anymoreIt's official!
The Ora team has decided to reject cloning Qora as a candidate solution for Ora. As we have delved deeper into what kind of currency Ora will be, and gathered requirements from the project stakeholders (including everyone active in the forums), the direction we want to take Ora will be better served by eliminating Qora from the candidate solutions pool. Instead Ora will strike out in a different direction. This should be no surprise to many of you who have followed Ora since the beginning. The project documents for Ora were created in anticipation of this contingency. In fact, it has been our intent to remain loosely coupled to what coin, if any, we would ultimately clone.
This decision opens up a multitude of new possibilities for Ora, but the greatest relief is it unshackles Ora from waiting on some other coin's months-long open source release, and the subsequent waiting period during which the open-sourced code is vetted, a process which by itself may take months of distribution to reveal errors and weaknesses.
Because we have anticipated this risk from the beginning, and even codified this into our founding documents, we have lost no momentum whatsoever.
Stay tuned for more information in the next few weeks as we continue updating our investigation into Ora's business requirements.
kind regards, nio

Version 14 is now available.https://mega.co.nz/#!DphEgZqS!LlfKXia9P3I1S-GNN6tOQjVXWiBpgV45FG7oBrjjwDMMD5: 3C02051DC3553950F907BBAD33DADC28 SHA-1: 613C484FCADEA96C7619747BB3867538DAB6F56B If you would like to run Qora without the command line window you can use the Qora.exe file. Place this file in the V14 Qora folder and run it instead of the run.bat. (windows only) https://mega.co.nz/#!fwpl1CDK!sLQ7hSa1O9L6o6CSEEM9lEqsMPJMDp5jiqt4_6tStJwMD5: 5BA6FEB0E32A599ADFF887DE68EC8688 SHA-1: 2ADBF547EFB65E7D8BFDA0B23CD7427883AA9BD7 Please download the applications from the original post and not from a quote. - Added the core for assets. Assets will unlock on 8 September 5PM GMT. The version with the GUI will be released before 8 September.
- Upgraded the database. You are now able to see all the rows in a table instead of the last 50. You can no longer sort on every row in a table. You will have to delete all your data files.
- Fixed the 'rpcallowed' setting.
- The wallet will now automaticly resynchronize with the blockchain.
This is mostly an experimental version. Just to see it it works somewhat stable as much of the core has been reworked. If this version seems useable I will add the upgrade warning. You will have to delete both your data and wallet folders and recreate your wallet to use this version. Thanks for your job. Keep supporting QORA.

When we can get the final GUI wallet?
Same question. The underlying Monero software is still in alpha, so anything "final" is still many moons away:) In the meantime, the two GUI wallets listed in the OP are the ones that we recommend: GUIAll current GUIs are in beta, but they should be fairly safe to use because they work through bitmonerod and simplewallet from the main code.Thank you for your explain. I will buy some when the GUI wallet is stable. Me too. I want to buy some more.

the distribution is very poor in this coin just a single IPO with no mining ... have all the coins in the hands of the few.
Who wants to buy in when all the stakeholders are waiting to dump the coin??
You're wrong about this. Distribution is not an issue, and it has got nothing to do with the current situation. 1. Low trading volume on Poloniex would suggest that most of Qora stakeholders are long-term investors. None of the stakeholders would sell short for a quick profit. Lack of price movement is also an indication that most of the investors are in for the long haul. It's a good sign that the early investors have strong faith in the project, and there is no pump & dump guys among the early investors. So you can say that Qora is a very safe investment (not subject to crazy price fluctuation). 2. One of the biggest Qora holders, renat0, is NOT an original stakeholders. He currently owns roughly 3% of Qora supply. As far as I can tell, there are very few original stakeholders still in possession of over 1% of Qora supply after 1 month of trading & giveaway. 3. At the current price, 100 million qora is only worth 60 - 80 BTC. 80 BTC for 1% of any cryptocurrency is cheap. If you take the overall supply of Qora into consideration (10 Billion fixed) and compare it to the similarly priced coins on CoinMarketCap, you would come to the conclusion that Qora is severely undervalued. To be fair to the troll it is a bit underwhelming on here.
I am confused daily why the vol on Polinex is like 5-10 BTC while coins like Monero have like 400BTC vol?
No wonder you're always confused. Have you ever considered the possibility that the problem might be YOU? love this comment.

Version 9 is now available.https://mega.co.nz/#!jtIWnYSZ!2LfxcdK2aWaV9rTNH_0H2XwZ_DjwnTLBGz1QP0WLrhEPlease download the application from this post and not from a quote. MD5: d94f783b73c80a4d24283a7eb4c64ca4 SHA-1: 009756aa1c531c0cfdcd074d55c85109df7dfc46 This version contains the voting system which will be activated on 25 June 5PM GMT. A new ping network message has been added which will be used in the future to detect closed connections faster. Also contains some small fixes to the database and network that you probably won't even notice. This version does not contains the API for the voting system. This will be added in an update before the release. Not upgrading to this version before 25 June 5PM GMT will make your client fork. We must contact Poloniex to update V9, in order to avoid fork.

Thank you, I've found it already in the OP among other links. The distribution is good. Funny you think the distribution is good now, you had a very different opinion on the distribution two weeks ago. Did you forget? Time to make a new sockpuppet I guess for you, cause through this one you lost any chance of credibility. bye bye. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=522102.msg7049844#msg7049844lol....I was not see this thread. Welcome to my ignore list too.

If you want to attack Qora, please read the history posts first, and learn some basic knowledge. Or you just want to show how stupid you are?
Actually I was interested to buy some Qora and ask legitimate questions, at least I think there is nothing wrong with asking about the initial distribution. But it looks like these legitimate questions are met with hostile attitude for an unknown reason. I haven't found anything about initial distribution in the first post, am I supposed to read all the 300+ pages? This kind of answer is not a way to attract new investors, someone (gorillajam?) complained that there is no demand for Qora. Now you see why there is no demand, because for some reason you think new potential users are Qora's enemies. Do you just want to keep all qoras to yourselves and don't like newbies? EDIT: never mind, I found the Distribution link, is it 137 people, correct? Im sorry,i cant see your kindness. If you want to see the initial distribution, this is the distribution list. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9qfv2omkbchua73/Qora%20Distribution.xlsx

I have no idea how Qora was distributed and to how many, I wasn't reading this thread at the time of distribution and I only read the last posts now. Is that a secret that you cannot answer? It's fine with me.
