Nope, but thanks for the quick reply. It looks like it is back up again.

For at least about 15 minutes, www.myopenid.com was down.

All good now. To me, this is all so new so I do tend to panic when things make it seem like my money has disappeared!

Dam I loved it that we had the same bank now I need a HSBC account so it clears the same day.

Nah mate, most banks transfer cash to each other within a few hours these days.

Update to my above:

My bitcoin withdrawls have now cleared.  Looks like the fix is in place and working.

Same here, my withdrawal has gone through. And I just created another withdrawal order, and it verified immediately.

Back to normal!

Also a GBP deposit from my bank hasn't appeared yet. Again, this is longer than it's taken previously, and again I'm sure it'll be fine.

Just thought it'd be worth mentioning it, purely in the interests of feedback aimed at getting things fixed!

I had a BTC withdrawal 'verifying' for 24 hours. I cancelled it this evening and created a new one, in the hope it was a glitch in my account.

The new one's now at about 4 hours or so...

I'm slightly inconvenienced as I've promised someone payment based on previous quick withdrawals from Britcoin.

But I do recognise that there's a 'Caveat Emptor' thing when dealing with Britcoin - it's mentioned on their help page that it's developmental.

So when all's said and done I don't mind, but it'd be nice to get a msg from them here saying 'things will be fine, hold tight' - that type of thing.

Bitcoins are way too complicated and niche at the moment. Make it simpler to purchase them first. Or would it be a case of 'if you build it, they will come'...

What's the point, if you can't type it?! A bit premature really I think. Wait till bitcoin becomes mainstream, till then BTC is fine.

It's fair enough, if a little frustrating for those of us who are not troublemakers!

I wanted to post in the Britcoin thread (Project Development > UK exchange: Britcoin) to ask if their recent site refresh could be causing a delay in sending BTC to my wallet.

I'm experiencing >24h with the transaction marked as 'Verifying', whereas my previous few transactions were sent within an hour or two.

If I post in there, someone else may be able to respond as they may know the answer. If I don't, I'll need to send an email to the site admin, and I don't want to waste their time asking questions that others could answer for me here.

Oh, and I love Bitcoin, I'll stick around to contribute to the forums after I get a response!

Pretty please...

Hello! I am in the UK and very much enjoying this brave new world. I actually came to post a comment in the Britcoin thread so I didn't have to add to their (I'm sure) already swollen inbox. But since I'm restricted, I will have to email!

But I'll stick around here anyway...
