The withdrawl transactions aren't even leaving Britcoin.

A quick check in blockexplorer and on bitcoincharts' list of pending transactions shows that there is obviously a fault in Britcoin's send function.

I've had a send pending for 16 hours now.  It's nothing to do with the bitcoin system; it's an internal problem on Britcoin.

Effectively, your bitcoins are stuck in Britcoin until they sort it out.  No answer from the support system, so I guess it's just sit and wait.

At the moment the trade page is displaying:

Code:
Warning: fopen(http://...) ... [details removed] ...

Probably worth mentioning that you shouldn't really be exposing error details to users...

Edit: seems fixed now. I have removed the error details in case they contained anything sensitive.

I had a BTC withdrawal 'verifying' for 24 hours. I cancelled it this evening and created a new one, in the hope it was a glitch in my account.

The new one's now at about 4 hours or so...

I'm slightly inconvenienced as I've promised someone payment based on previous quick withdrawals from Britcoin.

But I do recognise that there's a 'Caveat Emptor' thing when dealing with Britcoin - it's mentioned on their help page that it's developmental.

So when all's said and done I don't mind, but it'd be nice to get a msg from them here saying 'things will be fine, hold tight' - that type of thing.

Also a GBP deposit from my bank hasn't appeared yet. Again, this is longer than it's taken previously, and again I'm sure it'll be fine.

Just thought it'd be worth mentioning it, purely in the interests of feedback aimed at getting things fixed!

Send them to support@britcoin.co.uk

We're also working on a new site (more secure, better design to add new features) to be rolled out soon.

Same here, my withdrawal has gone through. And I just created another withdrawal order, and it verified immediately.

Back to normal!

Nah mate, most banks transfer cash to each other within a few hours these days.

HSBC-to-HSBC clears the same day without having to pay for FPS; was his point I think.

You (usually) don't have to pay for Faster Payments - if both banks support it, a normal transfer should go through within an hour instead of the usual 3 working days that BACS takes.

Ow cool good to hear.

So I transfered some funds to exchange for the first time last night and its not shown up yet as pending or whatever.

How long untill you see that its actually being adressed (I dont mean cleared).

Not stressing just trying to get an idea of whats normal Smiley

I think last time I transferred from my Nat West to the Britcoin Lloyds TSB it took 23 hours for the funds to show up in Britcoin.  They were cleared and spendable after 23 hours - I didn't see any 'pending' status.  (But I wasn't obsessively refreshing).
