1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: January 13, 2022, 08:14:08 AM

Many on slack are using profits from florin and buying Gulden and placing bids. Both coins will rise together, Gulden the decentralised blockchain that is made up of normal users and florin is the centralised more business focus blockchain. Lots of people joined Gulden and still love Gulden because it's free from control. Florin is now controlled by a new third party investment group and the community won't have any voice. With Gulden the community, any investor big or small has a voice. This is what makes Gulden special.

Correction, Florin is a decentralised blockchain with a third party investment group that has recently taken contol of Florins course. Only fair considering they must of purchased the premine for a substantial amount of money and given life to the blockchain. More developers can be hired, exchange listings, marketing etc. This is the luxury of having a business partner, with Gulden this has been a constant struggle, decentralised funding takes a lot of work from the community that have limited funding capacity.

Gulden was my first crypto and also the crypto I lost the most money on but it was a learning experience. I can tell you with 100% certainty that blockchains with business partnerships perform well, these businesses take care of everything the communities in decentralised environments need to handle. All you have to do is invest. With Gulden you need to invest and be involved, but this is a price you pay for true decentralisation.

With florin and 99% of the new cryptos, you can invest and sit back and let the business/company/organization do the work it wants. Similar to purchasing stocks, you invest in a business, the business does not expect you to work for it.

Carpe diem, seize the day! The devs should discuss with bitvavo to be listed before the drop with a down payment before listing and another after listing. The exchange will want this event to take place while Gulden is listed. I pledge another 20k as a Gulden patriot after 19 other members donate 10k each and the devs another 200k.

May your bad Karma be balanced by good Karma. Whoever donates to Gulden funding deserves some love.
Why were you aggressive on slack because your advice was good but you said it in a nasty way, this is what people did not like. We must show respect and love to fellow community members, the Gulden community is the best community and done nothing wrong to be treated badly.

A benevolent attitude got the coin nowhere for 3 years, except a +1200 rank and was well on the way to +1400 rank. The coin was in a state of perpetual decline and deep down we all know it but the community was too mentally oppressed to trigger the snowflakes running the show.

Are you trying to take credit for the reward change?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: May 17, 2021, 08:11:14 PM

It wouldn't be a bad idea to use some of the dev funding from Gulden to pump the Florin price because most of the investors is the Gulden community. We all win. The reward change is 20 mining 30 witness and 70 developer is what the GAB asked for.

That would be highly unethical behavior and a lot of honest people will leave Gulden if it did take place, Novo has 60k reserved for funding and can take of itself, Go look at the richlist on https://www.dactual.com/novo/richlist.php

Learn 2 read Doxie dox, he is investing in Gulden with his contacts because of the supply and reward adjustments

Can rich traders sell coins to push the price to 1c before the rewards and max supply change. I want to buy Gulden at fair value, I never would sell if i knew this change was coming.

It's going to dump hard because we don't know if Rijks cats are on funding payroll.

is 1.5 cent not fair?, considering 1.5 cent can reach $0.50

1.5c is the peak. Don't be fooled into thinking this coin is cheap, in 2 years you will be lucky to come out without making a loss.

32% of the supply in circulation with no reduced rewards in the future. 1 developer working on 2 coins but the funding trough continues each block when the developer is working on Novo. One grandpa exchange that is losing influence each month, Aat ready to repeat his 2018 performance... must I carry on?

Why don't you dump and leave Gulden for good, if its so bad why do you hang around?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: April 08, 2021, 07:37:02 PM
Yes, a change is coming. A much needed change because Guldens great development is overshadowed by the future supply concerns.

Gulden is trying to achieve the Dutch bitcoin crypto not the Weimar Germany crypto. The current setup is nothing like a Dutch bitcoin where you expect the value of your coins to give you more purchasing power not less. With the Euro we slowly pay more Euro for the same product as time passes. Most people want the opposite effect for Gulden where you pay less Gulden for the same product as time passes.

Rijk will never allow any change to his personal dev fund. The fear stories will come, more rhetorical questions and the community will become silent. This will be the awakening moment for Gulden and the longconRijkcoin.

Haters gonna hate and you are wrong.

I am getting tired of all the complaints on slack and here. You all had the chance to leave Gulden like LeftNLG and TheCanadianBach and that is there right to do so. No one forces people to stay with Gulden, aslong is there is enough people supporting the development rewards the coin will safely continue.

I knew Gulden wasn't going to make profit which is why I invested in other coins I don't care about but I still hold Gulden for the long term because I still like what it stands for.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: April 04, 2021, 03:37:34 PM
Gulden is part of a few of many 100s of coin that was created since 2014 and still around today. 99% has no development and put into the dead zone for all eternity.

I call it smart hiring from Rijk re Malcolm and Novo has made investors profit. Up 18 times the price in three weeks.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: April 01, 2021, 03:04:49 PM
Gulden is getting a lot of buy support at these prices, the users who don't want a reward change are showing the max supply and rewards don't need to be reduced. There is a month worth of buy support above 18 on bittrex, if they can keep the btc in place to soak up the dumps while new users also place btc down the price could go up.  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Sorry for you doxoliday!

It's a desperate measure to try salvage some faith of a recovery but Gulden is failing to run with this Bull cycle, it is left behind in the dust, can't maintain a top 1000 rank while the devs keep the reward fund trough open without any burning to counteract this (With a coin burn). The only way this sat price is going any higher if btc crashes and that would not be indicative of a Bull cycle.

You have people in the community like Robby (God bless his soul) who is doing his best but no one will be interested when they look at how the supply/reward structure is setup. After a year of no progress in price this guy will lose motivation and move on with his life.

Then you have people like Nick who don't think a burn will work but is buying Novo like no tomorrow because a "burn doesn't work".  The hypocrisy gives me a chuckle.

No one is listening to you because you insult and talk down to people. If it has to change I prefer toldyouso's approach at least it is well thought out, burning coins for the sake of burning is a desperate measure.

Whoever has the money has the control!

I thought I would correct you, the Gulden advisory board receive and controls the funds and not the developers.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: March 31, 2021, 11:02:53 AM

The reward halving and max supply change above reduces the influence of the development reward from 550 million to 120 million which will ease investor anxiety, I don't like change when it comes to the original blockchain settings but that is the reality we are in.
Malcolm has also moved Gulden away from a bitcoin copy and thus removing Malcolm as a developer is not an option, the development reward if well managed should be used to hire more developers.

The blockchain setting changes I have advised on caters for Investors, traders , long term users and developers. Short term profit gainers are always after instant changes that will leave the situation far worse after the feeling of utopia subsides.

I would of kept my Gulden if a change like this took place when they increased the development rewards by 80. I was only a small holder of Gulden, under 30000 so was not a problem for me to leave and I certainly didn't make an impact to the price when I sold.
As a small investor who wanted to leave my coins in Gulden for over 10 years I felt every change that was made was investment unfriendly. I totally get the developers need funding but take the rest of us along for the ride. Geven en nemen.
With Novo the devs do understand how to please investors with changes others mention here, Gulden doesn't need to be crazy like this but give something for todays investors for the future .

Was Gulden your first coin? I gained a lot of knowledge in how to use crypto with Gulden and the helpful community, admittedly I was upset with some of the changes but Gulden gave me knowledge to invest in other coins that have made me profit. I don't feel any attachment to those coins except for the fact they made me good money. Money I would not of made if I didn't learn how to use crypto through Gulden, for this reason I will never sell but I also don't expect to see any gains in the future as it's not interesting for investors but not why I am part of Gulden still. You can read my original post for more information if you interested.

I also can't say if it's a good time to invest in other coins because all the prices appear very high, some of the alts have made huge gains that I fear a correction is coming.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: March 29, 2021, 12:38:09 PM

About 3 weeks ago the realization hit home that Gulden still has everything I wanted out of a crypto besides government regulation which can't be ignored but its one of the the few coins with great development where the community has the most say and not some exchange or financial institution that is responsible for putting food on the devs table and ultimately deciding the course the coin takes.

This part is true in most cases, GRS got a investor from EFL that helped fund GRS in getting onto exchanges and does not tell the GRS developers what to do. There was a stage where he could see EFL was a shit coin and he did start becoming active with Gulden but was not treated well, I won't say more on this as its in the past and GRS did benefit.

I hear litebit removed GRS due to anonymous development team and removed Gulden due to 1 coin per developer policies they introduced this year.  Wink

You didn't hear it from me.  Wink Wink

This is fine as most people involved with Gulden is not here to make money, provided the developers can get paid for development, but I don't want people blaming Novo for litebit removal of Gulden, it was a convenient excuse as far as I am concerned.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: March 28, 2021, 06:41:31 PM
I feel too betrayed to invest in another coin of this teams. 7 years of dev given to Novo for free which was paid by the community and Gulden community as a thank you gets double the reward from 80 to 160. Novo gets what we wish for but you can't complain about it because the people on slack are too scared the price drops more to speak negative in front of new users. They all waiting to sell when the price is up including me and I have a lot of coins to sell but I am done!

The only reason you purchased Gulden was for profit? m8 you knew the max supply and rewards when you purchased, anyone with half a brain can see it's not setup to pump and dump, if you invested in any other coin in the top 200 you would be up by 300-700% in the last 6 months.
Gulden is special because it has a passionate community that want a different future and to add value through the technology, a user called Doxholiday was also shouting about burning coins and paying for exchanges but the community rightfully banned and ignored him.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: March 27, 2021, 05:23:39 PM
Novo had some profit takers today, after making over 2500% on the IPO the price was too tasty to resist for some.

All this from making good decisions by reducing max supply from 10 billion to 210000 and introducing a halving soon from 0.1 to 0.05 per block. Miners won't be able to crash the price and if traders sell they might never get back in for the same price.
Witnessing reward will be increased to 0.075 of the reward and miners 0.025.

No pressure on the market and witnesses coins can't be spent until the witness period is done.

Gulden developers developed the witness tech and the Gulden advisory board is watching the positive impact on the price action from the above changes.

I spoke to one of the traders on slack and he says with Gulden because 100 000 new coins are coming onto the market every day and this continues for 35 years more there is no incentive to trade Gulden up because the next day 100 000 coins could be sold back on the exchanges.

Imagine Gulden without this pressure and a brilliant development team. It will be a life changing event.

The impact looks good on Novo, the price was trading under $1 and today $18 if I look at coinmarketcap,it looks like most people are done with profit taking and the price is going back up?

Did the meeting bare any fruits or is Gulden going to treated differently with rampant inflation?

Why is everyone complaining Novo is getting special treatment?

Differences:

Novo Max supply: Original Max supply 10 billion. Early investors buy in and max supply changed to 210 000
Gulden Max supply: 1.68 billion

Novo Reward: 0.1 with halving and no dev reward
Gulden: 160 with no halving and half the reward to pay for Gulden and Novo development

Novo Witness reward: 75% and miners 25% of 0.1
Gulden Witness reward: Witness 18%, miners 32% and developers 50% of 160

Compatibility

Same development team

I see no reason to be complaining like little bitches in this forum, suck it up you fucks!

Troll! Your post would of angered me last year but I am at peace with Gulden. Its not about making money with Gulden but being part of a decentralized project and development that is better then top 50 coins.

Plenty other coins setup like Novo to make big gains but you can also make big loses, I will buy Novo because of the development team, not because it has far better chances of making profit due to low rewards or halvings or small max supply etc. Most coins I made money on were similar to what Novo is, Investment coins.

Gulden is going for currency status and currencies are meant to have some liquidity.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: March 24, 2021, 05:28:53 PM
I have had a change of attitude towards Gulden because I strayed away from what I personally wanted out of crypto.

When I first got involved in this new technology, I saw the possibilities and freedoms a crypto currency can offer. To give people new hope that are excluded from the financial markets because they don't fit certain criteria. A good way for people who like the idea of cash outside of the bank a way to store it in a digitally decentralized ledger while also providing a hedge against inflation.

Move onto post 2017 and I became more infuctiated by the financial prosperity crypto can bring while at the same time losing faith that financial institutions have infested the crypto market already while governments start pushing regulation. This all dashing the hopes of a new era of financial independence vaporized for me personally and all that was left is how much money I can get out of this.

I suspect many people will fall into this category but I know some in the Gulden community that never lost faith.

While in this state of mind where I am looking to profit and how much money I can make from Gulden the news of a 40 dev reward really hit hard in the stomach because I knew an increase in rewards is never good, but I got over this because the reward was 100 in the past and it dropped to 80 and then went back to 120.

A few months later an additional 40 dev reward was announced and it was as if someone tore out my hope and dreams of Guldens price ever producing sustainable wealth. I knew traders would manipulate the price because the next day they could rely on a new dump of coins coming onto the market. Take 2-3% profit and place bids lower.
While this news had a major impact the development team announced Novo and i was crushed because development time would be split up and progress slowed.

Out of respect I remained silent on slack because the development team has delivered on the projects they set out to do and endured years of not getting any mainstream credit.

Since October last year I gave up hope on any financial gains and looked to other places to invest for the future. This included the stock market and other cryptos and while I lost money on stocks other cryptos have increased by 5 to 10 times my initial purchase price.

With all these financial gains i never got attached to any of the other coins or communities like I did with Gulden. Its all about exchanges , trading... basically money. While the Gulden community has its channels where it talks about trading but a lot of the discussions is genuine interest of what technology and features that would be good to have. Lots of people helping to support others questions and sometimes issues including Malcolm who is one of the developers.

For people out there looking into a crypto that embodies decentralization, where you as an individual or community have a voice then Gulden is a good option. With the current max supply and rewards staying constant the likelihood of massive price gains is really slim but I can live with it because its not why I am here anymore

Peace out.
