2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are bitcoins still safe even on computers disconnected from the Internet? on: September 06, 2014, 06:35:54 PM
I don't normal computers can be hacked via radio waves, or most of the banks would have been hacked already. Don't worry its still safe.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you name your baby Satoshi for 150 bitcoins? on: September 06, 2014, 06:29:57 PM
I'd name my kid Satoshi and keep the 150 btc for him or her to spend when he or she is 18 years old. And I won't tell my wife about it because well, she'd never allow it.  Grin
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheapest place to buy Bitcoin in the US on: September 06, 2014, 06:28:14 PM
Coinbase if you are looking for great deals..You can also use localbitcoins incase you find someone more suitable.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin ever goes mainstream on: September 06, 2014, 06:24:46 PM
I think it'll be mainstream if merchants like amazon and ebay accept it along with many more and various  shops around the globe. It has started getting on track...but slowly.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which city will be the center of crypto currency on: September 06, 2014, 06:22:42 PM
I'd definitely think it would be San Fran more than LA.  LA thinks it's too cool and has other things to do than BTC.  I would think it would be a more liberal city in the US that would take the lead in BTC.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2014: The Worst Year for BTC? on: September 06, 2014, 06:21:11 PM
Its simple big companies are accepting btc but instead of holding they sell which in return doesn't increase the price of btc. So unless big companies don't hold the btc there will be this negative effect going on.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1991 Electronics -> 2014 Smartphone. 2014 Banking -> 2018 Bitcoin on: September 06, 2014, 06:19:03 PM
Imagine a world where govts has no control on the main currency used in their nations. Maybe an anonymous  bitcoin user will be considered an enemy of the State.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How could I sell something for Bitcoin today? on: September 06, 2014, 06:14:22 PM
Like the guy above me said, trust is necessary in business. If you are new you will be bound to go first[you won't find MM always] and will suffer high risk of being scammed too.
10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar - decentralized eBay on: September 06, 2014, 06:13:01 PM
I like the concept. I think the more things that become decentralised the better. It's the greedy fees that corporations take that will kill them in the end.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which Wallet should be suggested to a newbie? on: September 06, 2014, 06:12:17 PM
I like Electrum easy to use , as well as blockchain wallet. not good for heavy storage and perfect for beginners.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Million dollar Washington house being sold -- for Bitcoin on: September 06, 2014, 06:08:27 PM
Good to hear, 1 million dollars is huge amount and It is in Bitcoins, that means some people are really serious about bitcoin and they can make It even more used by others.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: September 06, 2014, 06:06:41 PM
Firstly I would prefer keeping so many coins offline, possibly exchanging them to cash. If I am bound to store then offline/cold wallets are the best move. The wallets will also be provided with additional security like no internet access and complete isolation during non-usage of wallet.
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: Was losing faith in Bitcoin monpoly - But on review it has been restored. on: September 06, 2014, 06:01:48 PM
The image seems broken.
I never took bitcoin as having its monopoly...other coins like doge or ltc are used too during transactions. It is only about the value we are using BTC most. That shouldn't be classified as monopoly.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core Developer says Bitcoin Too Fragile and in its Infancy on: September 06, 2014, 05:59:57 PM
After its launch few years before, bitcoin raised its value from beings few dollars to more than 1000 dollars by 2012. According to an investor this price variation is too fragile. I do agree that bitcoin might still be in its infancy due to much variation going on..
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Study shows majority of U.S. consumers ‘unlikely’ to purchase and use bitcoin on: September 06, 2014, 05:58:29 PM
The way bitcoin was introduced to general public was not good. Many of them still has misconceptions about high inflation and variability. There are also comments made like "Bitcoin can be easily taken away by hackers"...things have to be changed...people have to be taught about crypto currencies.
