2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Merge Mine w/BTC! - Update to 0.10.5 on: August 23, 2019, 03:42:27 AM
I do not see uno on the list of the blocknet dex.

Well, let's get it listed and let's do some trading videos! To show that it is possible to do all kinds of trades! Even OTC within the community with Blocknet DX.

**UPDATE** I see it in coinhub already - so let's do some trading examples to show people https://blocknet.co/unobtanium/

No KYC
No Escrow needed
No Collateral
No IOU's
No Registration
Yes Atomic Swaps
Yes Purely Decentralized - Order books
Yes Full Node Compatible(run your core wallets with it)
Clean and easy to use interface

You never send your coins to the exchange or send them to contract to be wrapped in another chain - total chain sovereignty. Have UNO your way! Every Day!

What are you waiting for get it submitted today and let's try and get some demos done with trading UNO and ANY other ALT or anchor you practically want.

Hey Voice, UNO was listed initially but fell-off Blocknet radar while BIP65 was merged in May. Now that BIP65 has been merged how do we get it back on the compatibility listing?

Why mostly  this wallet taking all block rewards Huh
uKrpMAwHsGq3DvZYeCfh8YvFrLhqBaxKnx
only one week competitor = uKC4JyjyGGxbS2eC8jgZgLx5DkmwHxApj9
Thats all on blockexplorer....

Good point, seems those 2 miners are producing 100% of the hash 70% & 30% respectively and since the May BIP65 release neither accepted pending BIP65 refund Tx issued from before the May BIP65 release until a 3rd much smaller miner at uccEtDDsFiUvm9SJRL6MBWh9QvZ5zD9zgh came along in July and validated all 3 pending BIP65 Tx. Thanks uccEt..

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Wallet 0.10.5 Released with BIP65 -- UPDATE YOUR WALLET on: July 02, 2019, 09:31:57 AM
The Unobtanium wallet has been updated to 0.10.5 to incorporate BIP65.
This update incorporates CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY which is necessary to continue developing UNO's DEX market on BlockDX exchange.

BlockDX is a true Decentralize Exchange that implements Atomic Swap trading.  This means that instead of trading "tokens" of coins and being dependent on gateway to exchange your tokens into "real" cryptocurrency, with BlockDX you will actually continue to hold the real private keys to your real currency.  If you want to trade BlockDX, be sure to update to 0.10.5. Old wallets will still work on the network but will cause problems if you try to use them for Dex trading & atomic swaps. Please update so you don't get left behind.

We recommend downloading compiled wallets from the UNO website, https://unobtanium.uno

You can compile your own wallet from Bryce Weiner's /Unobtanium-Official/ github, which is linked to from https://unobtanium.uno

Kudos to the UNO Dev and supporting members for making this long overdue happen enabling UNO to be a forerunner in the emerging DEX landscape. Atomic swaps conducted peer-to-peer is a beautiful thing to observe however to confidently operate on the Blocknet DEX wider coverage of the new version is needed. Please upgrade now!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Unobtanium and Blocknet DX on: April 16, 2019, 10:01:37 PM
Centralized exchanges continue to implode without warning.  UNO has been part of more failed exchanges than I care to remember.

I'm here to challenge you to say "No More!!"  No more Uno stolen from exchanges like Cryptsy. No more waiting for 100 or more blocks for coins to be deposited into wallets.  No more delayed withdrawals.  No more account 'lock outs'.  No more KYC.  No more begging and paying to be listed.  Fuck all that.

The past couple of months I've been experimenting with a true decentralized exchange, BlockDX.  A true Dex keeps you in control of your keys. It doesn't swap your valuable Unobtanium for some shit proxy coin. It doesn't allow an exit scam opportunity for the gateway exchanging the real Uno for fake Uno.

UNO has such an exchange available to it right now, and you can start trading on it today.  There are small buy/sell orders for UNO on BlockDX that will let you get started today.

Take the FK Challenge

I challenge you to make a small UNO trade on BlockDX today so you can experience for yourself what true trading freedom is.

What you will need:
 UNO qt wallet from https://Unobtanium.uno
BLOCK qt wallet (v 3.12.1) https://blocknet.co/block-dx/
BLOCK DX software (1.0.0)  https://blocknet.co/block-dx/

Sync your wallets first.
Place a little Uno into your Uno wallet.
Put a little Block into your block wallet (if I know you, PM me your Block addy and I'll send you a little dust to get started).
Start BlockDX software and follow the prompts to add Block and Unobtanium as trading coins.

Your UNO and Block wallets will need to be unlocked to trade or place trades.
To unlock your UNO QT wallet you will need to go to the Console and type:    walletpassphrase  yourPassphrase  1000000
That will unlock your wallet for a million seconds so you don't have to think about it for awhile.

Place your first trade.  If you have any trouble, let me know.

Challenge taken, the past 2-months have been a fun and educational ride leading into the recent OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY / UNO finding originated on 4/14 @ 10PM in the Block-dx Discord channel with outcome posted in Telegram this morning 4/16 @3:47A that the Refund mechanism is not working for UNO-QT ver 0.10.4 due to lack of OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY support. Looking forward to hearing back from UNO Dev on getting the needed support in QT to process DX Refunds.

Is there any 2019 road map? After seeing the last drop in price I decided to look a bit more in depth I to this project to see if anything. Now I know Romano justified the lack of updated on the github lately but I'd like to know why isn't the website and the roadmap isn't updated to 2019 and also ask if there is any major news or partner ship coming on ? Thank you
Oh I almost never update the website. Lack of github commits ON MY OWN GITHUB ACCOUNT this month is just because of me being sick.

That roadmap we published originally was way way smaller. We added more things to the map. Things that we came up this year with and for example that I finished within a few weeks or days.
Or improving an app/wallet etc self is not on the roadmap.

I actually think that roadmaps are old fashioned. The industry moves so fast, coming up with new ideas & finishing quickly is doable for me & adding it to the roadmap is confusing because people tend to not see the new roadmap item add.

Things that are difficult from the roadmap is Schnorr, MAST and smartcontracts.

For the rest, everything is doable. (I should update the website more often)

Revisiting the Website https://viacoin.org I found it's stuck "Loading" in Chrome and IE11 but not Edge. Now that's a first!
Needs to be fixed. Your addblocker is blocking coinmarket.
We use their api on the website.

Ah yes, having installed AdBlock in Chrome was the culprit there and the built-in shields in Brave also needed to be disabled however with No Ad Block installed in IE11 there must a security setting there, but with Brave and Chrome my go-to browsers I'm good-to-go. Thx.

Hi Romano, I'm Interested in checking-out v3.3.4.1 but the signed checksum message isn't verifying (like when I verified v3.3.2.1 by copying the entire message with signature to via.asc then using Kleopatra to Decrypt/Verify).

Instead this time It's coming back with the following error:
via.asc-->via: Invalid signature
With Certificate: FB5B BA3A 16BC 6AF0 D2A2 1D61 3F92 368F 0D21 A206
The signature is invalid: Bad signature.

However the checksum for the portable version I'm interested in trying is checking-out so I'm sure it's fine, I'm just a bit cautious.

I may have messed up with my keys or something. Will check if there's something wrong with my PGP.
These are the correct hashes
```
ae8d44e70b11f66ba4fb8c7d9bf038af6bac8c61df5c7c641e4f5adfc8a1d640  vialectrum.dmg
```

Ok, that matches the checksums in Github so I'm comfortable however like when I run the previous version here's No servers online (understandable given the resources to run an Electrum server). Since I'm a casual VIA HODLER I'll just stick with QT until a server becomes readily available. Thx

Hi,

can someone help me? I have the Viaelectrum Wallet 3.2.2 but it didnt Sync/Connect.

I have changed the Server in the Network settings but didnīt Work.

New Servers? Wallet Update?

Can someone help?
Already fixed everything yesterday. Check if you are running the latest vialectrum version.
It took me 2 entire days to fix the server side issues & create a new client with extra features.

So there's a new vialectrum client coming out soon.

V3.3.2 works like a charm. Transfers so quickly too! (I tested the portable version).

Only issue(s) observed, "View on block explorer" directs to a 404 page on Blockchair, and the Windows shortcut displays an "L" not "V" like the earlier versions.

Thanks much Romano, your effort is truly appreciated.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [2GIVE] / New Mobile Wallet Available from SATOWALLET.COM on: October 06, 2018, 04:35:45 PM
I too am one of those core wallet users that like to burn whole unspent outputs however after encountering 1% of the remaining balance as a Charity Fee using coin control I opted to let the wallet decide and was intrigued to see how the wallet gathers unspent outputs from the smallest amounts while rolling-up change towards the main address and of course glad to see the flat 1% against just the spent amount. So for mainstream users I agree coin-control is a non-starter but having a view of coins in the wallet I find useful.

We don't warranty use of "coin control" and it will likely be removed from future wallets.

-dvd

I think you're confused.  2GIVE is based on Peercoin which is based on Bitcoin.  There are no "so many problems" -- that's just false.

You are the FIRST person out of thousands of wallet users who has asked to have the fee taken FROM the sent amount which in our research is confusing for people who receive it.

Our model is SUPERIOR for sending specific amounts and the TXFEE of 1% which is socialized by the wallet manages expectations for both SENDER and RECEIVER and in fact is required for operating with cryptocurrency kiosks like Vault Logic.

We do not care about "other purses" -- 2GIVE is already available for transactions on kiosks and THAT is something your other coins can not claim.

I can only conclude that you are trying to send the entire contents of your wallet and are getting frustrated because you are unwilling or unable to calculate the 1% transaction fee.

If you have 100 coins in your wallet you can only send 99.   If you want to send 100 coins you'll need 101 coins in your wallet.

Think of it this way:  You do not ask your shopkeeper to deduct the tax amount from the total bill.

-dvd

need to add "extract fee from amount" option
and when linux wallet ?

How do I add this option to my Windows wallet?
Why only with this purse are so many problems?  Undecided

With the purses of other coins, there were no problems ... they are all made according to the same principle.
this is not true for sure. When I wanted to send several inputs into the 1, I saw a problem with the transaction fee and charity fee too. I was able to send only much smaller amount than sum of inputs lowered by your 1% calculations. There is no other coin wallet with these kind of unclear calculations and I have to say that I run several 10s different coins in my system. It is not possible to calculate exact fee if there is another fee too (charity fee at 4,5+% according the calculations of my wallet when I want to send tx right now). So sending the exact amount is possible but user has to have anough coins in the wallet because it is not possible to spend only 1 whole input or whole wallet thanks to these unclear calculations (1% + 4++%). There will always be something smaller left on the sender wallet. Why do not you want to add clear calculation direct into the GIVE section of your wallet?
check this, I selected 2 inputs on my wallet and lowered by the 1% of tx fee and the result is:

EXTRACT FEE FROM AMOUNT could be the best solution for people who really want to spend whole inputs or just want to move whole balance from 1 wallet to another and a bit for people who just want to sent the amount without bothering with calculations outside the wallet. People could see the tx sum cleared by all fees in the field AFTER FEE as it should be in case of clear fees calculation by wallet.

once again, I know that this is not a problem when sending much less than my balance - there is enough for both fees in the wallet and user really do not have to think about the fee percentage and the change. This only complicates the situation when user want to spend whole input / to join several inputs into 1 or move whole balance from the wallet.

Looking for some testers....

http://2give.info/download/2GiveCoin-Qt5-RC6.2.dmg

This is a fresh 64bit of the wallet on a modern Mac OS X and includes updated toolchain including Qt 5.7 !!

As posted to FB:
I broke-out the old Macair w/OS X Ver 10.8.5 and after downloading the dmg and double-clicking to mount to the desktop then running the app it sync'd right up and applied all interest from the last time I ran the last client in Mar '17. I also sent and rx'vd coin between another wallet on Windows no problem and best of all refreshed an earlier gift balance from zero, regenerated the html and created a new gift. Haven't redeemed a Gift but will try that soon. Any testing ideas shoot and I'll try to accommodate, but it looks pretty solid.

New release on github (v2.0.1)

Haven't been able to stay on the main chain since upgrading to V2.0.1, and once switched to the "alternate chain" all bets are off using the v1.1.1 wallet (and from the HitBTC trollbox it appears I'm not alone). Hopefully this will get resolved soon.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KARM] Karmacoin - New Initiatives - Helping People Do Good on: October 21, 2016, 01:03:50 AM

HI Everyone,

I have posted MY PROPOSAL to address several issues our KARMA coin is having.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1633954.new#new

Please consider it, make YOUR INFORMED DECISION and then CAST YOUR VOTE.

I will respect all VOTES.

I'm a long-time Karma holder and would love to vote but am unable to do so in the interface. Is their a restriction on who can vote?

The BTCtalk forum has this automatic restriction on who can vote, usually the newly created accounts cannot do so, this is so to avoid SPAM account creation just to influence a poll.
As for your case, you can instead post YOUR opinion of the matter by posting on the thread, it will then be known to everyone whether you personally support the move or not.

Just noticed on my 30th post the Submit Vote appeared and I was promoted from "Newbie" to "Jr. Member" status. Hooray for me!

I will certainly cast my vote and am flattered that anyone would be interested in what a newly minted 30-post Jr Member has to say but here goes:

On one hand I put alot of stock in:
a) v0.8.6.5-beta QT dormant on my desktop for 46 weeks firing-up, finding a bunch of peers and fully syncing within a day
b) seemingly active (albeit small cap) market on Cryptotpia with quickly confirming withdrawals to my QT wallet
c) active explorer on Chainz

.. which to me means there's interest in keeping the coinbase alive.

On the other hand watching the blockchain I learned of the 10K per min emission dilemma (I read "mining bug") that needs to be solved and with no active Dev in sight there's little hope of getting out of litoshi-land where at current exchange of 167 lito per sat the 15 lito Karma is less than 1/10 of the way towards 1 sat, and the 10K per min thing isn't helping.

Also, sitting on some xcp from my early days I was pleasant surprised to see xcp recent price so I successfully revisited my counterwallet and am ready to go if/when the Karmatoken exchange happens. Either way I've always been intrigued by the charitable aspect so welcome the emergence of platform/community geared towards that aspect of crypto.

Full disclosure, I'm a small holder, suffice to say not in the 50M+ club, so I know others have a bigger stake, so if you've reached this point in my post thanks for reading.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HZ] Horizon Long + Fair Distribution|Decentralized Asset Exchange on: December 28, 2015, 04:11:46 AM
HZcharts

I'd like to announce HZcharts: http://hzcharts.coin.emergate.net (or HZcharts.coin on Emercoin decentralized DNS)

HZchats is simple website for viewing information about assets and accounts on Horizon's Asset Exchange. It also provides a public api for retrieving live asset price and volume feeds, that can be used to list assets on sites like coinmarketcap.com. HZcharts is heavily inspired by http://nxtreporting.com/ as I use that a bunch and couldn't find anything equivalent for the HZ platform.

It's a work in progress which I'll leave as basic for now, and develop more if it benefits the HZ community.

I've also issued an asset on Horizon called "HZCHARTS" (id:17035415330002870030). For now, purchasing the asset should simply be seen as a way of supporting development of the site.  Smiley

I thought it could be helpful to have a better overview of Horizon's Asset Exchange. There's a lot of junk / abandoned assets on there though, so hopefully it can improve!

I've started a dedicated thread here. Please post there if you have any suggestions, bug fixes, or things you'd like to see. Cheers.

Great work!! Like altsheets, I just bought some of your Asset myself. Smiley

Funny...three of my own Assets are in the top ten. And I've been having a convo with a new investor in two of them - all through the goold ol' Arbitrary Message system. Grin

A consolidated "Portfolio" view coupled with a slate of of high-quality assets to choose from can only elevate Hz standing as the go-to distributed asset exchange.

As a show of appreciation for the outstanding vision I've also taken a small stake in HZCHARTS and look forward to seeing the project evolve.

I too am a fan of nxtreporting, especially the consolidated "My Holdings / My Activity" view with drill-down into asset info. Having a similar consolidated "Portfolio" view for Hz coupled with a slate of high quality assets to chose from could only elevate Hz standing and appeal as a distributed asset exchange

As a show of appreciation and support for your effort I've purchased a small stake in HZCHARTS and look forward to seeing the project evolve.  Cheesy

When going on Horizonplatform.io none of the links are clickable for me. Is anyone else having problems with this or should I just go ahead and go back to postage stamps and leather wallets?

Which browser? I can click most of the buttons but not all have a link.

For me using IE11 and the latest ver of Chrome NONE of the (7) active mouse-over / finger tool-tips in the "Trusted Assets" and "Useful links" sections have hyper-links. I'm wondering if anyone else has been able to click-thru any of the links in those two sections.

My problems with version 5.2 are solved with the new version. (windows 7/firefox 42.0). Thanks.

Same here. Problems solved on Win7-64/Chrome. The new Hz client looks solid. Thanks MaWo.

Do you mean a database file?

Is there a bootstrap Horizon?
