Let's put out an offer for someone really skilled, but give him insane deadlines and pay him one fifth of the bounty if he missed this deadline.
What a brilliant idea. If I were a programmer capable of implementing ring signatures in a satoshi based client within such a ridiculously short time, I sure as hell wouldn't make it for a random coin.
I'd make my own.

If someone is capable of integrating ring signatures into the satoshi client, they are way more capable than you are anyways, so why would they do it for you instead of creating their own altcoin? Dreamcoin is looking to be the next big pump, that's it. Because marketing is hard. If there's a **well distributed** community of motivated stakeholders **both big and small**, then it's WAY more lucrative for me to give the community something it wants than to go create yet another altcoin that might be technically interesting but has no active users. Besides, I don't learn anything releasing code that nobody runs. Scamming is for bitcoiners. That is NOT going to come quickly, and might involve dramatically changing some coin fundamentals, because there are a lot of broken fundamentals in different places because someone grabs something derived from the Satoshi bitcoin client, makes a change, and doesn't fully understand what they are doing. Satoshi had a brilliant concept with blockchains, and Bitcoin was a great first implementation. Proof of stake was a pretty interesting addition. Now we have Dreamcoin, which has a great name. But you don't achieve your dreams without making a few mistakes, and learning from them along the way. So here's an idea.. wouldn't Dreamcoin be the ideal coin for a fully distributed crowdfunding system, like http://blog.vinumeris.com/2014/05/17/lighthouse/ ? I could probably implement (and most importantly, test) some sort of ring signatures and/or darkcoin-like anonymity protections for $50k to $100K USD in a couple of months. If there's no money, and I'm doing this in my spare time, it might be 6 to 18 months. It might be a lot faster if there is a community that comes together out of something more that just the 'next big coin'. If you have a problem with Dreamcoin or you need help or anything of the sort send me a PM I would be more than happy to help, but all the PMs and talk about I want this I want that, blah blah blah, whine whine whine, I won't listen, I am trying my best to get better features for Dreamcoin, it all takes time, but in the meantime it is a great coin, yes sounds like icecube is working on a multipool still, there are plenty of exchanges to trade DRM at and there is no reason to start a fund for anything besides what is already started in the OP, all this wasteless bullshit about trying to get shit started up through others isn't going to happen. I created this coin, not them. #endrant Just really tired of seeing all of this...Lets go back to the Dreaming Days guys! |

Its very simple, people need to stop acting like children trowing toys out their pram, it helps no one.
And Carson needs to give an update once a day about new developments and keep us informed as to what to expect.\
Simple communication solves all the problems we face at the moment.
People are expecting a multipool today, if that's not possible, please let us know and let us know when it is likely to be implemented.
The more info you give, the less reason people have to become pissy about it.

I really think a lot of you people need to bring it down a notch, aimless threats are not going to help...
I said I would leave if I keep getting threats, the threats better stop. #1 I created Dreamcoin, it is still a solid all around good PoS coin (Better than Blackcoin). #2 - Zerocoin integration is huge, yes everyone wants it, yes everyone wants it now, but same with the iPhone 6 and Darkcoin's DarkSend source, etc. Sometimes things take time, give it time guys, with actual community support, that would be ideal, not trolling me and my personal life and then freaking out if I don't post back within 24 hours....
Anyways, catch me on the IRC today at some point if you wish to chat.

This has come directly from the freelancer I hired: Developing schedule: alpha version: 10days. final version: 3days. He is saying after the alpha version though, he will need a lot more in payments...So if you guys want Dreamcoin to turn into something even more beautiful and have zerocoin integration, then we will need to start another funding. I know I have lost a lot of trust with the community, but what are your guys thoughts on this? Also for those talking about me and my personal life: If you continue to troll me and my personal life, I will leave....I didn't come here to be flamed about my self, where I work, etc. I work as an independent contractor with AT&T via Talk2Rep, It is a lame job, yes, but I was working at a graphic design firm in downtown boise last summer, the guy was a sociopath, and treated me like shit so I left. I have been doing freelance for a local creative company as well, most of my jobs end up being freelance as that is where the quickest, easiest, and best method of making money is, $100 an hour compared to $14 an hour haha....I do want to see Dreamcoin succeed, but things can't happen right away a lot of the time, I do have C++ experience, but Zerocoin integration (more so the completion of libzerocoin is a little out of my field), hence the freelancer, he can get it done and has assured me, I am waiting for him to make a few commits before proceeding further or finding a new dev  |

Hey guys, Ive got a new developer working on the integration, he just started working...I am paying him, that is why the bounty is cashed out. I can show you proof if you wish, send me a PM. Timeline is still what we are shooting for. I just wanted to see how faithful this community of Dreamers is!  jk, just been busy guys! we have almost raised the bounty for the 3rd developer if you think it is a good idea we have 5k, we really need to be first to zerocoin mate, this is make or break time Yes a bounty would be good, he is actually most likely going to want more than the $1,200 ive paid him. I will get his own personal DRM address and see if he will get in this thread at some point, not sure though, he is a freelancer, but he knows what he is doing and showed me proof he is advanced in mathematics and fluent in C++, networking, etc. he also has a large background in cryptocurrency. I can show you proof via PM if you absolutely feel its necessary, or I will just post a picture in this thread if you guys want? Dreamcoin itself is running fine guys, I know you all were dipping on the price because I didnt post for two days, but I have been busy, like everyone else I have a real life I must attend to...I know I should have said something more about the bounty etc. but I have just been busy and trying to get this done before you all freak out on me for not releasing it in time...This is not a simple project and it takes time, money, and more time and money (especially with getting another developer on hand). If you wish to donate more immediately to help with funds I would recommend you send straight to the BTC address from now on for quicker payments to the dev. From me to you, man to man, I ask you say the words "thank you" to this community. If you are serious about this coin do it. It will boost morale significantly. Yes you are amazing if you can code, but we are also amazing for giving you support. It goes both ways. Don't take us for granted. I just sent you proof, do what you wish with it, I told the developer to submit commits to the github, he will be the one taking over doing zerocoin integration, I will be here if you guys have any other issues with the wallet, blockchain, etc. so far, I honestly don't think will ever occur, Dreamcoin is more than secure, its running flawlessly. Yes I am serious about Dreamcoin, I would be more serious about this if I get an actual award once zerocoin is integrated (donations now if you believe me, donations later if you don't ) I have done most of this out of my pocket and the other funds have been sent to the developer. I am waiting on more information from him as well and I will give you guys another update hopefully soon or in the next couple of days, but I will check back to make sure everything is going good with you dreamers! Dont stop dreaming! So, is the reason this coin's tanking on Poloniex because it's just dumpers who got some coins during the POW phase? I'm assuming it'll go back up. I saw that the multi pool could go up on Friday. That's good news!

i have 55 DRM in my wallet but it says i am supplying the wrong paraphrase...this has never happened before wtf
What do you mean? my dreamcoin wallet qt wont unlock for some reason. i try to unlock it for staking and it says i have entered the wrong paraphrase......i do not understand........................i try to send my coins to an exchange.....LOCKED. this has never happened with any wallet qt before lol. wtf Make sure you don't have CAPS LOCK on...lol common mistake, and you should know for sure it is your password. Wallet is working fine, just encrypted and decrypted a wallet to verify. |

Yep libzerocoin in Dreamcoin is being worked on...Implementation will take more work as well. I will hopefully have an update by end of this week or next week..I am struggling with my full time job right now (Dreamcoin has my full attention, but it has to be put on the side burner for my real job, dreams compared to my reality, sadly...Dont have enough Dreams to pay any bills yet, more donations would help, so I could take less hours at work and spend more time developing)
If you guys want to donate towards Zerocoin development, it is in the OP. Funds can help be used to bring in another developer to help me work on this project to get it done quicker and so that we can beat the competition.
Dreamcoin in the meantime will end PoW soon! Now is a good time to buy in all you dreamers that came late!
