i know my pool info is right... i logged into slush's pool to get my worker id and password... i've tried using both urls and still nada... how long does it take to start up...?

hey guys thanks again for all the tips... finally got the miners up and running... one thing tho how come im not seeing anything under miner status? everything is blank and keeps saying no values to display... also for slush's pool do u guys use the stratum url or the api...?

so if my network is sitting on 192.168.2.x i need to manually change it right? what would i put for default gateway? anything for dns?
First: This is my computer setting.  After you save this, plug your ethernet cable directly to your S1. Wait for a second and type 192.168.1.99 in your browser. And voila! It's connected. awesome thanks for all the help fellas... will try this out and post results... would i need to turn off dhcp on the router as well tho and manually configure each device connected to it? i have a ton of wireless devices laptops cell phones apple tv etc... |

that would indeed be easier but i cant even access the config page... i tried by accessing 192.168.2.99 on my network and 192.168.1.99 when going thru doge's tutorial nothing seems to work

Hey guys fairly new to the BTC game... been trying to set up my miners today (8 in total) and for the life of me i cannot get them to get on DHCP as opposed to the static configuration they are at now... not sure what other info i can post other then i went thru pretty much all the tutorials especially the doge one where i was supposed to change the ip address on my laptop to 192.168.1.254 etc... the current ip address i am working with is 192.168.2.x... any help at all is greatly appreciated...

hi all, thanks for all the great tips and advice i've received so far... just a couple more questions how many amps would these ants normally use and what sort of surge protector should i be looking at to purchase keeping in mind i have 8x 650w 80 plus gold standard corsair psu's - one for each ant...
i live in canada so anything local - best buy / future shop / new egg / tigerdirect recommendations are appreciated...

just got my 8 miners from bitmain... super quick shipping as advertised... i did notice you can set up 3 pools on each miner would that reduce the hashing power per pool if you had 3 configured on each miner or would it be the same 1.44 TH/s for all 3 pools?

BTC value has increased about 20% the last week, why did the price not drop by that percentage in btc?
I calculated over and over again, with kwh @ 0.27€ and diff increase 15%, the S1 will never ever make the btc back you invested if I have to pay monthly the electricity from mined btc.
What did I wrong? Why should someone buy S1, at least in germany it's just stupid?
your power cost is almost 3x what i pay in Ontario, Canada ($0.15/kwh CAD). thats the most significant reason your calculatiuons show no profit i live in ontario too... based on those figures if i run 8 ants with 650W PSU's am i to assume that my power bill will be $600 / mth? |
