PoS block movement very slow
Anyone know how long it takes to start staking?
|
|

Looks like because of low diff
Appears so. Miners are dropping off now that the reward is so low.

Hey pool operators, have you noticed an increase in the orphan rate since the last halving?

Im sure theres a solid plan in place..going to add a lot of vol to DRM
There are people out there that don't want us to succeed, unfortunately. Someone has been consistently DoS attacking our DreamPool, and as a result we've lost a lot of miners this past week. This has led to less volume on Bittrex and unfortunately threatens our listing there. If you would like to see this coin continue to grow, please send any spare hash to the DreamPool. Remember, there are ZERO fees and all mined coins are directly used to purchase DRM.

Has the block reward been halved? Looks like only 5 SAT2 in the last 20 or so blocks we mined.

Dev's I'm still patiently waiting For what? We are slowly dropping to below 2000 Sat. You really have 2 choices here. If you believe in the dev team's ability to deliver value in the future, place your buy orders and average down your base cost while the price is slipping, or if you don't believe in the future of the coin, bail now at a loss. I'm personally torn... I hold 200k SAT2, and am not happy with the lack of progress, but I'm holding. Here's another option if you believe in SAT2, mine at SAT2.Launchpool.us with port 8888 which is the scrypt autoexchange port. This will send your hash towards the most profitable coins and exchange them for SAT2. You get a bigger SAT2 payout than mining directly, and you also create demand on the exchanges to drive up prices.

Come mine at LaunchPool.us the only auto-exchanging multipool with SAT2 payout! Our SAT2 pool is now live and mining SAT2 directly. When the PoW phase is over, our servers will automatically switch to mining other profitable scrypt altcoins and exchanging them for SAT2, so you can continue mining even during PoS. url:stratum+tcp://sat2.launchpool.us:3312 user: [your SAT2 wallet address] pass: [anything]
Payouts processed every 30 mins at 10 SAT2 threshold. 1% pool fee plus normal wallet transaction fee.

I have Ubuntu on a private MPOS server and I am mining the SAT2 no problems either. What sort of errors did the compile throw?
I'm running off the node-stratum library https://github.com/zone117x/node-stratum-pool. There were no compile errors, just the usual warnings. Had about 100 Mh/s mining against the daemon for ~6 hrs with no valid blocks found, then switched over to the windows wallet and it worked fine. Thankfully I was holding enough SAT2 that I'll be able to reimburse my miners... Haven't had time to comb through all the logs yet, but it looks like blocks that node stratum thinks solves the blockhash is being rejected by the linux daemon, but accepted by the windows daemon.

Be warned I had some issues setting up the pool to mine against the daemon compiled in Ubuntu. Mines perfectly fine when I point it at the windows wallet though.

Cool stuff! As mentioned in a private message: we recommend setting a higher payout than 1 SAT. It's not needed per se, but please note that the minimum SATē transaction fee on the network is 0.05 SATē, so for payouts of 1 SAT that would be 5%. So it would make sense to use somewhat bigger transactions to make the transaction fee relatively smaller.
Thanks for the info, the payout threshold has been changed to 10 SAT.

In other words, your pool is becoming a multipool after POW fase?
Yes, it actually is already a multipool now. The auto exchanging code detects automatically if it can mine the coin directly or if it needs to exchange for it, so the transition will be seamless for miners.

There is 1 problem, pools are still mining sat and not sat2, I did not know this and had auto-pay send my coins to mintpal. Please fix the problem with the pools still mining sat and not sat2. Coinmine.pw is where i mine them. Mintpal emailed me this message today:
We switched over to SAT2 yesterday and we are no longer accepting any more SAT deposits. Please do not send us any further deposits. We may be able to switch over what you sent us thusfar, but it's up to the discretion of the SAT2 developers.
The devs have no control over the pools! It's up to you to mine at a pool that is on the correct wallet/fork. Come mine at LaunchPool.us the only auto-exchanging multipool with SAT2 payout! Our SAT2 pool is now live and mining SAT2 directly. When the PoW phase is over, our servers will automatically switch to mining other profitable scrypt altcoins and exchanging them for SAT2, so you can continue mining even during PoS. url:stratum+tcp://sat2.launchpool.us:3312 user: [your SAT2 wallet address] pass: [anything]

yes yes be patient bla bla bla, always same story in shit coins topic. The real is Be patient and be a bag holder of pumpers.
I'm curious then, which coin do you consider so superior? Nearly every coin, with the exception of maybe BTC goes through these same growing pains. No coin is immune to pump and dumpers, so you are always taking that risk as an investor.

Do we have X11 yet?
X11 is technically up, but it isn't very profitable to mine established X11 coins currently. Most of the profits would need to come from newly launched coins with short mining periods, which would require a lot of manual processing of exchanging and payouts on my part. Unless we can get a lot of X11 hashing power on board, I don't know if it'll be worth it in the short term.

I stand corrected - so tell me - what was Sat selling for? Inquiring minds want to know?
SAT1 was going for between 3-5 satoshi, peaking at 6 satoshi briefly on Mintpal right before the switchover this weekend. The conversion rate was 1000:1, so SAT2 should be worth 3k to 5k satoshi base right after the switch, which it was. Seriously have a little bit of patience people. Unless you can't afford to lose another penny, it's stupid to jump ship now before the devs announce the rest of their plans for the coin. You may end up missing the boat to Saturn.

The DreamPool is currently under DDOS attack, please bear with us as we deal with the issue. Your shares are safe and pools will be back up soon.

P.S i sense a much bigger future for DRM, look at the walls on polo all eaten Guess who is buying up DRM at market price Mine at the multipool, and help drive up our value! We've had the largest DRM payouts yet in the last couple days as our hashrate steadily increases. The results are plain to see in the steady increase in trade price on the exchanges when we make DRM purchases for the payouts. Let's keep this trend going! url: stratum+tcp://dream.launchpool.us:8888 user: [your DRM payout address] pass: [anything!] Still 0% fees until we hit 10k satoshis!
