Bootstrap is not working with 1.4.17 QT. Please, check it.

I'm checking it now.

Can you confirm that your copy of the bootstrap.dat file has the correct sha256 checksum?

As the bootstrap.dat post says:

Quote
To verify that you have the right file its size is 3789137849 bytes and its sha256 hash is ec1c102a0a3c4b0f0f47ff25a28bb96d935d374bd4168e0600acae22b42b0e63.

The file should be called bootstrap.dat, and it should be in the same folder as your wallet.dat file.

Take a look at the end of the debug.log file in the same folder. You should see one line per block it imports. Look at it again a minute later. Is it importing blocks? See how many blocks per minute it's importing and you can figure out roughly how long it's going to take to get up to block 3551279 (which is the last block in the bootstrap.dat file for now).

Edit: I recreated the bootstrap.dat file from scratch up to block 3551279. The newly create bootstrap file is 3789137849 bytes long and has an sha256 hash of ec1c102a0a3c4b0f0f47ff25a28bb96d935d374bd4168e0600acae22b42b0e63, the same as in the bootstrap post.

I could try importing that into the CLAM client, but first I'd like to make sure:
  a) that you have the same file with the same hash, and
  b) whether it really didn't work for you, or if it's just being slow. check the end of your debug.log

Mine's been running with the previous bootstrap.dat since Friday night (so about 60+ hours) (EDIT: "previous" here means the prior april 2021 bootstrap, before you recreated it) and it got to 3 years and 21 weeks behind and seemed to stall when I realized that it now says "synchronizing with network" instead of "importing blocks". Inside user/appdata/roaming/clam it changed name to bootstrap.dat.old

I've downloaded the recreated bootstrap. I deleted the ".old" one and moved the new one into the roaming/clam file. It is the correct file (378913849 bytes, etc.). The client briefly said "importing" but after about 2-3 minutes, it too changed to "synchronizing with network" and has renamed the filed to ".old"

So... I'm not one to claim to have any idea what I'm doing, but it seems like something is "wrong"

Make a clam:doge market and I'll trade 1 doge for 1.1 clam all day long.

All this checks out and the log is showing that blocks are being added, it's just that it's taking something like a half hour per day, which seemed strange for a bootstrap file, so I guess at least mine is working and I'll just let it sit for a few days.

Are you sure you put it in the right location?

Not the OP, but I think I'm having a similar problem (talked to you in chat last night). I went ahead and left it running overnight and I'm still at 5 years to go. It's the same PC where I'd just updated a doge wallet, and that went way faster, so I'm assuming *something* is wrong, but maybe it's just slow like that.

I downloaded the April 2021 bootstrap that doog linked, and dragged it into the appdata/roaming/clam folder (if it's supposed to be in a subfolder in there, maybe that's the problem, but I read the post as saying just put it in that clam folder.

The bottom left does say "importing blocks" like the post said would mean it's working, so IDK.
