1 question will Clams leave yobit.net? if n when will the wallet return?

You mean they have already frozen the wallet? I was planning to put some up on yobit because of the better exchange rate, however, i cant seem to register there for some reason. I am not sure how genuine they are, do they allow withdrawals of btc without any issues?
As far as I can ascertain, the vast majority of Yobit's altcoin wallets are "In Maintenance" (so, yes "frozen" if you like) and typically you can’t directly deposit/withdraw the altcoin of your choice (e.g. CLAMS) but need to exchange them either for BTC or for one of the altcoin wallets that they do actively support. (I have an account there but haven't had cause to do any trading).

Cheers

Graham

Thanks Graham, i see a lot of yobit sites, each one calls the other a fraud! Its so funny! Don't know if i can trust them at this point, but the alternative exchange at freebitcoins is paying a very low exchange rate. A bit of a dilemma, i will try with a dummy account and check how that pans out! Smiley

Sadly, trading-data on Yobit is not worth a pinch of cockie poop. Meanwhile, Clam is trading with fair volume on Xchange.

Disclaimer: I trade Clam (and 42-coin) on Xchange.

Is sad to see clam with this low price... The community needs to give more applications to the coin because right now we can only use it to trade on Exchange and to play on Just-Dice... But without a real competence and more applications is hard to see this coin going up again.

It would be nice to see a mixer service with clam, or a loans service... and some other random applications.

CLAM is being plowed by what I believe is a A: Old exchange selling. B: Digger selling coins dug in 2020....

It's a good time to buy CLAM because these sellers are absolutely eating our lunch.

Very few cryptos have escaped the drubbing that began when Bitcoin dominance spiked in early 2019. So, yes to all development. But price is less important than volume. Clam has good volume. We can build on that.

We killed the troll box on FreeBitcoins because it was going to be an issue as it grew I feared.

is there a possibility of letting clamd run as service? systemctl tells me fail Sad

Here is a sorta hacky version I used to set up a clamd service on ubuntu 18: https://gist.github.com/daxxog/a2f5db9cbe5fd02770764ba183dc6504

I also have gotten it working on a raspberry pi before.

That is true.  Xploited didn't include that in 2.1.0.

"xploited — Today at 2:38 PM
it was a reall biiiiiatch to do and would be even more of a biiatch with that newer codebase ha"

"xploited — Today at 2:39 PM
if they want to import the wallet best to use the 1.4.17v for sure"

https://github.com/nochowderforyou/clams/tree/master

2.1.0 just syncs super fast without bootstraping.

Not the OP, but I think I'm having a similar problem (talked to you in chat last night). I went ahead and left it running overnight and I'm still at 5 years to go. It's the same PC where I'd just updated a doge wallet, and that went way faster, so I'm assuming *something* is wrong, but maybe it's just slow like that.

I downloaded the April 2021 bootstrap that doog linked, and dragged it into the appdata/roaming/clam folder (if it's supposed to be in a subfolder in there, maybe that's the problem, but I read the post as saying just put it in that clam folder.

The bottom left does say "importing blocks" like the post said would mean it's working, so IDK.

Bootstrap is not working with 1.4.17 QT. Please, check it.

I'm checking it now.

Can you confirm that your copy of the bootstrap.dat file has the correct sha256 checksum?

As the bootstrap.dat post says:

Quote
To verify that you have the right file its size is 3789137849 bytes and its sha256 hash is ec1c102a0a3c4b0f0f47ff25a28bb96d935d374bd4168e0600acae22b42b0e63.

The file should be called bootstrap.dat, and it should be in the same folder as your wallet.dat file.

Take a look at the end of the debug.log file in the same folder. You should see one line per block it imports. Look at it again a minute later. Is it importing blocks? See how many blocks per minute it's importing and you can figure out roughly how long it's going to take to get up to block 3551279 (which is the last block in the bootstrap.dat file for now).

Edit: I recreated the bootstrap.dat file from scratch up to block 3551279. The newly create bootstrap file is 3789137849 bytes long and has an sha256 hash of ec1c102a0a3c4b0f0f47ff25a28bb96d935d374bd4168e0600acae22b42b0e63, the same as in the bootstrap post.

I could try importing that into the CLAM client, but first I'd like to make sure:
  a) that you have the same file with the same hash, and
  b) whether it really didn't work for you, or if it's just being slow. check the end of your debug.log
