1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: USB block erupters long LED blink on: November 04, 2013, 10:36:59 PM
I have 7 on an anker 9 port hub providing 5amps, and 2 on another hub providing 3 amps. Using verbose in cgminer I notice the solid green is happening during a libUSB pipe error. 2 of them I just received today, and they do not have the same issue, though they are all REV 3. The two new ones also have less hardware errors.

After looking at this closer, I am convinced this is a USB bandwidth issue. I believe the long blink is actually idle time. I can't even copy files from a USB drive when they are running.

It is quite often. Difficulty is set to 1 on bitparking. I split them between two powered hub, so I'm sure power isn't the issue.

Ok thanks, I guess I get a lot of rejected shares then.

I have 7 block erupters and I read that a blink means a share was found. I assume this is the short, less than half a second blink, but all 7 of mine periodically have blink where the LED stays on for 3 seconds. I can't find this mentioned anywhere. What does this mean?
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Problems with GPU miners on: July 13, 2011, 04:20:15 AM
So far I have tried GUI miner, and phoenix with phatk kernel, I also tried some java based one but forgot what its called. I always run into a problem where I get either a white screen or a white screen with columns (http://i55.tinypic.com/24vqiw1.png) and the system freezes. This however does not happen when I am mining on only one card. I have a 5850 and a 5830. I have tried both with crossfire enabled and disabled. The crashes are a little worse with crossfire disabled (sound stops playing). Neither of the cards are overclocked. And I can use both of them with folding at home for weeks on end with no problem. Temperatures stay below 82C on the 5850 and stay around 70C on the 5830. What could be going wrong?

My system: 5850
                5830
                stream 2.4
                video driver 11.6
                Windows 7 ultimate x64 sp1
                850 watt psu
