1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Twitter (X) now to become XXX on: Today at 01:50:18 PM
I guess he finally found where the business is. This guy is supposed to become a Trump advisor if he ever wins the elections. I wonder what type of advice is Trump going to receive, because in porn and adult entertainment he is more of an expert than The Apprentice.

From the source that OP cited, Twitter has allowed users to freely post pornographic content. The platform has been a good medium where sex workers find and contact their customers. So Elon Musk is not the reason why pornographic content is visible on X. His intention is to make it formal so that rules can be put in place to protect underaged users. The policy that mandates users who post adult content to adjust their settings so that such content will not be viewed by under 18 viewers is commendable. I have been facing the problem of my nephews and nieces viewing or using my phones because I am afraid of some of this pornographic content.

I don't see this as a big deal at all, goggle and all browser contains adult content that's free and accessible to all regardless of the age of the individual and even a young underage teen can always access this sight anytime and anyway at there own will and no one has really made a big deal out of it. Anyone that watches these kind of content in x has been watching it elsewhere and didn't just get into it because it's now officially allowed in the sire.

Twitter is one of the most popular social media platforms, so this policy is a really big deal, especially for parents and underage users. As you said, these children will easily falsify their age and have free access to this adult content.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tell me the unexpected problems you've encountered in a casino? on: Today at 01:17:00 PM
It's really frustrating when you are not talking to a real person because you are entertained ony by its bot. Worse, some casinos do not even maintain live support. They'll just tell you to email them as you can read in their website, and the first reply does not solve the problem. You'll need continuous communication until everything is settled. I guess it's understandable, especially if a casino is already growing, but personally, I feel more comfortable with a casino that has live support, even if I have to wait to be served.

I have lost money in a casino because the live support team was mainly bots. These bots misinterpreted my answers and closed my account which has some funds. It took the intervention of their representative in the forum for me to get the needed help, but I had already lost money. Casinos fail to understand that these bits cannot replace humans. Giving out a pre-programmed solution might not suit every condition. Another problem is when the live support personnel are not qualified for the job. Some of them don't know much about the casino so they might end up not giving the needed support. The support team should be qualified and knowledgeable about the casinos. I will never use a casino that doesn't have an effective live support system. Responding to emails takes a lot of time, which can be frustrating.

If you have encountered other problems, please share them and your solutions for dealing with them.

Gambling with casinos that have a signature campaign or a service thread in the forum gives a level of protection. You can always contact their representative about your problem if you don't get any response from the casino website. If you are not still okay with the response, you can go further to present your case to the forum community for deliberation.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to pitch a Bitcoin investment idea and gain backings? on: Today at 12:03:30 PM
Is it possible for a potential investor (without funds but with a good idea and a great proposal for investors), to pitch a Bitcoin investment idea to a group of friends and family and companies, with projections of good profit but with their invested funds, to gain backings?
That being said, what kind of "bitcoin investment idea" are you talking about in this case, do you want to advise people to buy bitcoin, that isn't something you'd want to do with something as volatile as bitcoin that you do not/cannot control its price movement. So what investment advice is it that you are talking about?

I read a post where s member was complaining that banks are turning down his business proposal to invest in the crypto space. I don't blame banks for turning down his proposals because the crypto space is unpredictable. But I don't think there is any harm in presenting Bitcoin investment ideas to friends and family members. Volatility in the Bitcoin system is not a problem but an opportunity. The space might be unpredictable but the four-year circle still exists. At least we can predict that anyone who buys Bitcoin during the bear season will make some gain if he sells during the bull run. The investment advice could be educating people about how the Bitcoin system works and the possibilities of making a profit from it in the future. We know that the sector is unpredictable but we are all witnesses that people are making a fortune from Bitcoin investment.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: Today at 11:43:00 AM
Most likely Enrique will try to find a replacement for Mbappe. Mbappe is a special player. And no one can fill the absence. Mbappe is a much improved player. He is physically and mentally very skilled, strong and he is a successful player. No other player can fill Mbappe's absence. Change is good at PSG. Even though Mbappe is not at PSG, he pushes his team to play well and do something new.

Enrique can definitely find a replacement for Mbappe as a striker at PSG next season, but we will probably see an announcement because there are still many young players who are quite productive and have the potential to become good players who can compete next season, although there may not be any players who have Mbappe's abilities. but at least it can fill the void in PSG's main squad, perhaps it will take more time for Mbappe's replacement to adapt to the existing players because players are needed who have good experience in adapting quickly to a team.

I haven't seen PSG's plans to buy players and look for a replacement for Mbappe in his position as striker but I think Enrique certainly wants to find the best one who at least has the potential to play the way he wants and the team, it's time for PSG to learn to let Mbappe move to Madrid and that's it. every decision he has taken to play with Madrid next season must be respected, I think PSG must immediately look for replacement players because the sooner the better to prepare this team well so that it can become a strong team like before.

Kylian Mbappé is the best finisher in the world, which makes him an exceptional player. Clubs need such a striker to maximize goalscoring opportunities. For now, it would be difficult to find a replacement easily. It looks like the club will be going for some young, talented players who can be groomed to become a star in the club. It was reported that the club has changed its philosophy of relying on big, expensive players to get results. But I would have advised Luis Enrique to go for an experienced striker while he also gets some young players that will be groomed.

There were speculations that the PSG is targeting the Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. Napoli is ready to sell the Nigerian for €130m and the French side can be able to afford it. But Victor has shown his love for the Premier League and Chelsea have shown much interest. Napoli will be willing to let him go to any club that is willing to pay the amount so we might end up seeing the striker in PSG..

Considering how bitcoin might shape the future of finance, it’s potentially impact on traditional banking systems and regulatory challenges it’s may face

Bitcoin was created to be an alternative to fiat this is because people will always use the latter. If Bitcoin gains acceptance by the government and the transaction fees still remain low, more people might choose to use it more than fiat. So, it will be common to assume that traditional banks might face a reduction in transactions if using Bitcoin is faster and cheaper. We are already experiencing strict regulatory laws in many countries. The government will keep making laws that will increase KYC, thereby increasing centralization.
But is the idea of bitcoin becoming a currency a reality when we only see it as an investment and not too many people consider it an alternative to fiat?
Do you think the government will agree and legalize it as an alternative currency while they cannot control it? Besides, how long do we have to wait for a real solution to make bitcoin's transaction fees cheaper and transaction speeds faster?
All of your “what if” ideas are highly unlikely and even impossible. We should look at reality and not talk about “what if” scenarios.

You are not far from the truth mate, it is clear that the idea of mass adoption of Bitcoin as a currency is not visible. Many people are comfortable with it as an investment. It is also obvious that the only reason institutional investors buy Bitcoin is not to use it as a currency but to make a profit. However all hope is not lost, most Bitcoiners still believe that there will be a time when Bitcoin will be used as a currency. Maybe the price might become less volatile in the future, making it popular as a means of payment. We also hope that transaction fees will be reduced and people will devise alternative means of using Bitcoin as a currency. The government will keep making laws to control the Bitcoin industry, however, some nations might not be as strict as others. There will always be Bitcoin-friendly nations where regulations will not be too strict. The dream of freely using Bitcoin as a decentralised currency globally might seem impossible, but it is still achievable.

I don't think it is a bad idea to present Bitcoin to friends and family because it is a good investment. Also, some companies like Microstrategy are investing in Bitcoin and making good returns. However, it is important to give them a comprehensive analysis of how the Bitcoin investment system works. They should know the risk involved in investing, and emphasis should also be placed on long-term hodling rather than making quick returns. Let me also add that the choice or decision to invest should be taken by the prospective investors. Never force or persuade people to buy Bitcoin to avoid the blame game. You have to encourage them to do their research before deciding to invest.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Crypto Casinos.💎 on: June 03, 2024, 08:08:47 PM
Challenges Novice Crypto Casino Gamers Face
Regulation is Different Depending on the Nation of Residence
Depending on where the gambler lives, regulation regarding cryptocurrencies could be nonexistent, or the country of residence could ban cryptos outright. Knowing the specific laws regarding the trading and making crypto transactions in a specific area in the world can be daunting.

Regulations can be an advantage or disadvantage. Crypto casinos might easily operate in territories without former registration but it also has its own problems. it is easier to identify and check the abnormal activities of traditional casinos than their crypto counterparts. Gamblers can easily report to the regulatory authorities to intervene in any matter they are not pleased with, but without such regulations, crypto casinos might not be effectively supervised.

Quote
Regulation Challenges are Muted by Cryptocurrencies Anonymous Nature
For gamblers, though, the regulation challenge is muted by the anonymous nature of cryptocurrencies. So when we fund our crypto casino account, the only info is the digital code that represents the transaction.

The actual transaction, what it’s for, and who it is going to, doesn’t show up. There is no middle person like a credit card company that knows why we are making a cryptocurrency transaction. This means that crypto casinos present gamblers the opportunity to remain anonymous.

It is difficult to see many casinos that don't require KYC to withdraw funds. So, with this process, crypto gamblers are not anonymous since the casino has their personal information. Casinos might claim to be a non-KYC betting platform, but when there is any challenge, gamblers are subjected to terrible KYC verification.

Quote
Some Crypto Casinos Can Suffer Cyber-Attacks
Cyberattacks exist in the crypto space. Hackers are out there looking to attack crypto casinos. So the challenge exists regarding a crypto cyber-attack.

No organization is 100% immune to cyber attacks. Some casinos have gone bankrupt because they were attacked by hackers. These hackers can breach some of the best or most sophisticated security systems. The crypto space experiences a high rate of attack globally, and this is also the same with crypto casinos.

The only people that will have more challenges to face aside from the ones that they are already facing are the broker operators. Regulations are not being made in their favour; they are being billed and asked questions by different government agencies.

We now live in a time where decentralized exchanges are attacked because the government has made laws that group them as a channel for money laundering. The Bitcoin space is gradually moving to an era where the government wants to control every part of it. And they will keep making and amending regulatory laws to achieve their aim.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kicking/banning and or limiting a player for winning too much on: June 01, 2024, 06:46:56 PM
Now, I just want to ask us, if you own a casino, and a particularly customer is always winning, winning and winning, would you kick/ban the customer, or limit him or her?
And why please?

Why do casinos limit or ban a user when he or she is winning too much, but do not do the same when the user is losing too much as well?

It is strange to see a gambler winning consecutively for many days, it is really uncommon. This could arouse some suspicion that the better have discovered a loophole or an insider is working the gambler. First, the casino will have to investigate the account to ascertain if he is abiding by the rules. If the account is clean it will become necessary to do a comprehensive check on the games to check if there are any lapses. If there is no problem, then the casino will have to take drastic action if the wins continue. Casinos are profit-making organizations; if not put under control, that bettor who wins consistently can make the casino go bankrupt. If such a gambler bets a huge amount, the casino might not be able to pay him. So, reducing his betting sum will be my option if this happens. Casinos always have risk control mechanisms, which makes them take some actions when they perceive a threatening situation, so I don't blame them so much..

Whether an overquoting is relevant or not, it's still not welcome on the forum. And it is clearly stated in the forum rules. Such posts, which contain a pyramid of quotes, fall under point 1 of the forum rules. Please read carefully the note to point 1 of the forum rules.

This was a reply from a moderator when the same issue was brought up. This means over-quoting is not welcomed on the forum. However, you have the option to report to the moderator of the board to handle it.

Such kind of quoting is very common on the speculation board, especially on the mentioned thread (Buy the Dip and Hodl), and I don't even think anyone has the time to report those comments or if moderators have time to delete them. Before you can go straight to two pages on that Buy the Dip and Hodl, you will see such kind of quoting.

This behavior is born out of laziness or lack of understanding of the forum rules. These pyramid posts make reading difficult and can also lead to a high rate of spamming. It shouldn't be overlooked as a normal behavior because we all have the responsibility of keeping the forum clean, so you can report them to the mods to handle.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 01, 2024, 04:59:36 PM
It is certainly a happy news for Inter Milan fans that Lautaro Martínez has already completed his contract with Inter Milan after leaving AC Milan. The competition between AC Milan and Inter Milan is always going on, it is definitely a big news that Inter Milan has signed a key star of their club from AC Milan. Lautaro Martínez will undoubtedly add some strength to Inter Milan's attacking line-up. Now only waiting for this Argentinian attacking midfielder to take the field in Inter Milan jersey.

source

Nine million euros per season is a good deal to keep the Argentine international in Inter Milan. His contract will be extended to 2029; that's good news for Inter because Lautaro Martínez's performance has been outstanding. He has been a consistent top goal scorer for the club and deserves a new and advanced contract. Inter is trying to strengthen its squad for next season, so there is a need to secure contract extensions for important players, and others might have to leave the club. The club will also target to get some new players from other clubs. The striker will be in action for Argentine when they meet Ecuador on the 9th of June in an international friendly game.

Osimhen's performance, which has decreased slightly, indirectly reduces the value he has because however, currently Osimhen's value has decreased by around 20 million, whereas last season Osimhen's value was 130 million and now it is 110 million, which is an indirect value. His performance decreased because his performance was not very good this season.

Victor Osimhen's biggest challenge to get a new club this season will be his hefty buyout clause. He has shown interest in moving to the English Premier League, but some of these clubs might not be willing to bring out about €110 million to get him. Many of them might be considering the option of adding players to the contract. Chelsea is willing to add Romelu Lukaku to the contract, while I don't know who Arsenal might be willing to give to Napoli. But I think PSG can be able to pay such money if they really want the Nigerian international.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not fall for success stories of bitcoin investors on: June 01, 2024, 08:00:08 AM
I have seen new investors being carried out by seeing the success of big bitcoin investors. But , this is wrong approach in my opinion. Because, I personally feel that most of the people fail and they will never share their story. So, most of the stories that new guy searches , he will find only good success stories. But that is not correct overall picture. One should keep the limitations of crypto in mind as well. What is your opinion about this ?

We can derive inspiration from the success stories of others but we shouldn't assume that it was a smooth ride for all. Reading these success stories serves as a motivation for people to keep hodling regardless of the FUD that is spreading in the crypto space. However, anyone who assumes that everyone who invested in Bitcoin made a profit is either blinded by ignorance or greed. It is only a small percentage of investors made a fortune from Bitcoin. Many of them sold or lost their hodling before the price increased. New investors are advised not to focus only on the benefit of investing in the sector but they should also consider the risks involved.
14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump convicted 34 counts. on: May 31, 2024, 12:39:36 PM
To be frank, even though the case against him.was solid enough, I never thought the judicial system of the United States would dare to put the tag of felon onna former president, not only a former president, who the one who is the front runner in the Republican party and had a very good chance to become the next president of the USA.
By the way, even though Donald Trump was found to be guilty of those serious charges, I believe he won't see any prison time, he will likely just be fined and stay with the tag of being a felon for the rest of his political and natural life, thats it.
when comes to the perception the public has on Trump, this judgment won't change the opinion about the from the average Republican voter, because they had already mind of programmed to see something like this happening to Trump , do they are ready to co tongue to support him further.

Some will even claim Trump is the American equivalent of Nelson Mandela, so he is destined to come back to the white house eventually. Only time will tell, but this is already unprecedented, no doubt about it.

This is just the beginning of the legal battle. His legal team can appeal the the judgement in New York appellate court and even the state’s highest court. These courts can overturn the Manhattan criminal court judgement and set him free of these charges. The conviction has just made Donald Trump more popular among his die-hard supporters who see these court cases as a political witch hunt. Many Republicans believe that Trump is been persecuted because Biden wants to limit his chances of winning elections.

The US legal system will always be a pacesetter for other countries because they were not intimidated by the political influence of the former president. There are shreds of evidence that some former presidents of my country did even worse things than Donald Trump, but none of them has been convicted. Past presidents are above the law in my country, but kudos to the US judiciary.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 31, 2024, 12:07:15 PM
They had a great ride and finishing above Bayern Munich made it super interesting, they'd be up against one of the tough sides from other leagues next season in the Champions League Competition but I don't know what pkans they have for a player like Serhou Guirassy whoni think would be leaving the club at the end of the season.

Serhou Guirassy has scored 31 goals and gave 2 assists in 32 appearances for Stuttgart. This performance is attracting interest from top clubs like Roma and Inter Milan. Roma sees him as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku or Tammy Abraham. The Guinean striker has a release clause of €17.5 million, making a cheap but quality target for many clubs.

Quote
He was the major goalscorer for them last season and I don't see him staying. Well, if he has plans to do that it'll be lovely, watching him play in the Champions League Competition, otherwise he'll be joining another club obviously partaking in the Champions League Competition.

Serhou Guirassy has multiple options since Stuttgart qualified for the UCL. The striker prefers to move to a club playing in the UCL. However, he would still feature in the top European competition if he remained with Stuttgart. But he might move if he has a big offer from clubs in England like Chelsea.

Quote
Bayern Leverkusen management must be very pleased for the first 18months Xabi Alonso has handled. Having a quick spark was something we never expected. He really is that guy when Jose Mourinho talks about Football Heritage lol.
This season will forever be in the heads of the Bayern Leverkusen fans, the present and those to come in the future.

Xabi Alonso and Leverkusen have made history in the German League and Europe. He would forever be regarded as a hero in the club. I just hope he will replicate the same performance next season both in the Bundesliga and the UCL.

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can save you against inflation if you invest in & hold it some years on: May 31, 2024, 07:20:20 AM
Not every have that kind of money so even if you want us to hodl bitcoin, it would probably take many of us a long time before we can see our bitcoin going up in price and by then, the price of a house and lot would be at such an astounding levels that it's probably not worth it to buy anymore and just continuing hodling.

You can hodled based on your financial level or strength. The advantage of Bitcoin is that you can buy with any amount you have over a long period. Many people who don't have bulk money to buy can use DCA to accumulate. Also OP just used the US as an example, houses are much cheaper in my country. With less than $15k one can own a good house in my location.

This is not about having the amount of money that can buy a house and use it to buy bitcoin. House is just used as an example in the OP just to let us know that bitcoin is an asset that can be used to hedge against inflation. It can be used instead of saving dollar or fiat in your bank account, you can buy bitcoin instead and hold it. According to the image in the OP, he is comparing bitcoin and fiat, that fiat is an inflationary asset.

You just spoke my mind @_act_. The worst victims of this inflation are people who keep their money in fixed deposits or savings accounts for many years. In a few years, inflation will make the money worthless. It will be even better to invest in a house than keeping money in banks. But I agree that Bitcoin is a better hedge against inflation but we should also take note that nothing is certain.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 31, 2024, 05:55:07 AM
Releasing Victor Osimhen and having new striker is normal as we are now having new coach at the Napoli after having worst end of the season which bring too much decline in quality and having no consistency after winning title with this all happen due to management level mistake which bring serious trouble and team gone in deep trouble after this all, but now they are working to bring back themselves at the better spot which they deserve in Serie A.

Antonio Conte and Romelu Lukaku have good relationship while these both already work and achieve better results, so things can take good change here as well. Romelu Lukaku is having good depth in last few seasons with he can shine under Conte here at the Napoli which could be good for them because we can expect better results and improved performance which is also important for them for having success.

Although there have been no comments about Antonio Conte deciding to replace Victor Osimhen with Romelu Lukaku, all this speculation is born out of the Belgian's good relationship with the coach. Another reason why this speculation is high is because Napoli will make money from the transfer of the Nigerian and they really need the funds. The new coach will want to overhaul the club which means they will need money to buy new players.

Lukaku has had a good season, but any club that relies on the Italian striker for goals will not get the best. Osimhen had an average season because the team was not organized and he also suffered some injuries. Lukaku cannot be compared with Osimhen if the Nigerian is in a good team. Victor can be relied on as a striker because he is still young and strong, so I don't see any point in comparing the two strikers. It will be a good move to try to convince the Nigerian striker to remain in the club. But it looks like he has made up his mind to leave. Conte can use his connections in Chelsea to secure a money-plus player swap deal so that the Nigerian can move to the English side while the Italian will secure a permanent deal in Napoli.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Work From Home or The "Laptop Class" is Immoral or Not? on: May 30, 2024, 07:24:17 PM
During COVID when we were working from home my company witnessed more productivity and quality work compared to those days when we used to work from homa nd company's profit margin increased since they were saving on office rental and other stuffs like transport and daily expenses to maintain and run the workplace but they have to restart work from office due to pressure rom government as government was concerned about local businesses not getting business this the tax margin was also less. I don't consider Elon Musk seriously as he is bt weird but ye everyone's entitled to their opinion andy opinions is work from home was better.

It is not all companies that had high productivity during the COVID-19 pandemic. So many firms will not function properly without the physical presence of workers. Many manufacturing companies suffered low productivity, which made them downsize or even go bankrupt. Death from the pandemic is now low, so most governments and businesses want their workers to come to the office since the reason for working online has phased out. Elon Musk has his reason for wanting workers to come back to work but I don't think it is immoral. Maybe the productivity of his companies dropped because of online workers, so he needs them to return back to work. Capitalists don't care about worker's conditions; all they want is to make more money.

I will not doubt the existence of something of this nature happening knowing how the world is fast moving on technology developments and innovations, we have to make a try more on something new and have to see that people enjoy and have the best satisfying gambling experience when it comes to sports and entertainments in this aspect, more innovations are still coming and this in consideration will be my first hearing about it.

It was also the first time I heard about this kind of sport, but the point is that it exists. I have done some research about it and saw that it is becoming a popular sport. There was a global championship for autonomous cars called Roborace, founded by Denis Sverdlov in 2015, and they had a series of competitions until it was stopped in 2022 due to lack of funding.

There is also another popular event called the Indy Autonomous Challenge where contenders for the first positions are university teams. The last event was held in Las Vegas early this year, and the winner was TUM Autonomous Motorsport (Technical University of Munich).

But the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League, with a prize pool of up to $2.25 million, is the only self-driving racing league in the world. Eight teams from educational and technological institutions from the UAE, Germany, Italy, Singapore, the US, Hungary, and China participated in this year's event and were viewed by about 600,000 people. And it was TUM (Technical University of Munich) that also emergedas  the winner.

These kinds of posts FOMO the fuck out of the paperhands on twitter who think bitcoin's going to be the solution to their poverty. So when they spend and invest money on it and find out it's not making them any richer any quicker than they hoped to, They sell and swear against it, urging even more people to hate on it which hampers with the progress of bitcoin in general, cause instead of having newer people who are more supportive of the coin and are gonna hold no matter what, instead we have more haters who are going to swear against bitcoin even if it became the signal to the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Bitcoin is not the solution to eradicating the poverty of this world but this just explains why the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer, this is just to make people who are weak hands and trading in the short term to make pennies can realize what is the potential reap when they do nothing but simply buy and HODL bitcoin that they bought earlier.

Bitcoin will not stop poverty in the world but it is making the poor rich. Many people that wouldn't have ever gotten wealthy are now rich because they kept their coins for a long time. Indeed, the coin shouldn't be advertised as a medium to get rich quick but this doesn't dispute the fact that people are getting rich from it. People work for thirty years and receive a small amount as gratuity, but imagine if such funds were invested in Bitcoin. Some people keep money in a fixed deposit account for many years and get less than a 10% rate; keeping Bitcoin would have given more profit. The greatest problem of the poor is the lack of information and the inability to take risks.
