My fork is now doing 9.3-9.4 MHASH with overclock on the 980.

10MHASH with +300 on the core, but not very stable.

thanks for keeping the (pipe?) dream alive.

Hopefully there will be better times for mining soon.

Christian

Unfortunately that GPUs mining is as good as death, Christian. I try futile for a few months and last Monday I decided to shutdown my farm. It hurts and I'm feeling the pain in my heart but on another side, I'm feeling more relieved.

10 days since I turned off my rig... feeling sad.
It was so nice to see it running everyday, check the power consumption and so on...

Hi folks,

Long time since my last post here (new job consuming my time last 4 months).

I was mining XCN (5 x 750 TIs rig) for some time, but some days ago I realized it was not even paying the electricity itself.
So I started looking for new options and did not find any interesting one.

I've been reading the last pages, but, the talk evoluted to a "advanced programming side" that I'm not used to and I could not find a good "direction" to point my rig (if still there's any)

Is JPC still profitable?
Is the moment to replace my 750 for 9xx?
What the "fuzz" about this Neocrypt algo? As far as I read there's no NVIDIA specific miner yet, right?

Sorry for so much questions and thanks in advance... ;-)
Nothing is really profitable (unless you have some private miner for some specific coins/channels... and even then it's not obvious...) so well there isn't much to discuss at that level so we are left to discuss programming which at least is a bit entertaining.

Thanks for the reply...
I didn't want to turn off my rig, it's so nice to see it running... :-)
as winter is coming... they can be useful too... would be interesting to know what kind of economy you can make on heating.
(at the moment, 2 windows opened, the 780ti is happy running at 75°C and it isn't even cold in the room)

Here in Brazil summer is coming... =P
... and winter is not so cold at all.

Hi Raven, I designed my rig after yours from the other cuda forum ( now closed down ) and its working well with 6 cards.  Cheesy
Hi tbear... I remember that... =)
I stopped at 5th 750 because I was not seeing much profit, and also decided to invest some money on Scrypt ASICs, which turned out to be a good decision at that moment.

Maybe XCN will hit the floor now... :-/
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: GAWMiner Hashlet Discussion Thread on: September 05, 2014, 12:48:58 AM
Solo hashlets are just creating confusion

It was better to offer just "prime hashlet" at a more affordable price.

Yup, I was confused. No maintenance fee info on main site...really not even a description of what a "Cleverminer" is. Should at least allow upgrades (and downgrades?) due to this.

I will say it again...this is a very strange model.
Agreed...

I have 250MHs of first batch hashlets and could not see advantages on "solos".

Wow... Pretty awesome improvement.
Already used NiceHash version. Surely will try this one.

Thx...  Wink

Achei que ia demorar mais, faz pouco tempo que a Dell americana começou a aceitar.

Já dei uma empurradinha também.  Smiley

Também achei... bom saber que estamos no "radar" deles.

Bora incentivar...  Wink

Here we go, everyone fill it in and we will see the outcome

http://strawpoll.me/2486721

I personally am fine trying to set it up but it is going to be a pain, and people will hate others for it.
I know for sure i will get a lot of hate for it

Regarding support to the devs I'd vote a solid YES, but having a "premium" section to achieve this goal is unclear to me at this moment so I voted UNSURE.

Hi RavenXBR

what is this software?
or is it a part of EVGA Precision?
 I can't find it anywhere.
Thank you.

LOL... once a while someone asks me.

It's Speccy from Piriform... freeware.
Pretty useful.

new version of ccminer with improved m7 (binaries, source a bit later today or tomorrow... as I need to figure out what I changed... and a few things I want to check)
hashrate for 750ti (+135/150): 5.5MH (+500kh)
                 780ti (OC)         :13.5MH (~1MH)
                  660                  : 4.2MH (+200kh)
also added average hashrate (thanks to cayars...)

5.1~5.2 each 750Ti on a 5 card rig.

Thx...  Wink Cheesy

Cryptonight - The Bytecoin and Monero Saga -

Christian was mining monero using Amazon - So was this guy and he made a fortune up to 17 BTC per day - Christian were you in on this action?

I previously stated that I was involved both in XMR and BBR mining. Whether or not I was teamed up with specific folks around here, I won't tell.

Christian

what is mining with Amazon?

Their AWS Cloud Service. http://aws.amazon.com/ They use NVIDIA.
ooo ok thank you
EDIT: now im trying to figure out how to do this.  Smiley
its way over my head i think
Same here...
How to use it to mine Huh

You will need multiple PSU's to support a system like that. I like my 6 card rigs, they are nice and compact and don't weigh a ton when I need to move them.

Nice and organized. Smiley

Hi folks,

My computer crashed while syncing wallet today.
I could not start it again, so, I erased all blockchain and started downloading it again.

Now my wallet is stucked "downloading headers" with "7 days behind".

Any tips?

Thanks in advance...  Wink

Looks like a wallet corruption issue.

OPTION A
Use a backed up wallet you know was working prior the crash.

OPTION B
1 - Bakup wallet by making a copy of the wallet.dat file somewhere of your choice -- IMPORTANT -- VERY.
2 - Dump all private keys through command line (try dumpwallet first if that doesn't work then try dumpprivkey "yourxcnaddress") - If none work, well seems your fucked as the wallet might irreversibly be corrupted. Pray or contact the devs of the coins.
3 - Once the dump is done delete all the content of the blockchain folder -- ALL -- including the wallet.dat (you have made a backup anyways).
4 - Once the above is done, relaunch the wallet (this will recreate a fresh wallet.dat file), let it synch -- FULLY --
5 - Finally, import the private keys of each address you received coins from and addresses you've created (use the importprivkey command) - All coins should now appear.
6 - Now backup the wallet again so you can use that one in case of future corruption.

That's how it worked for me and a few I've helped.

Thx for the help, but didn't work.
2 days of 5 750Tis rig mining lost, not so much.

Will mine straight to Exchange wallet til this coin is dead.

seems like all the coins that were worth mining with my 750 ti's are going to shit Cry is it time to get out? or do you guys think alt coins will bounce back?
Definitely.
XCN is barely paying electricity... =/
JPC not even that...
