I've had a transaction in limbo for a few hours and haven't heard from support yet - is it off hours? The quoted 'processing' rate is also a good bit lower than what it was during estimate, will it re-adjust when it actually goes through?
Edit: They followed up with me, and it was the original rate as expected (minor fluctuations) - Waiting on the BTC to send due to withdrawal limits but thanks for the quick reply!
Edit 2: I woke up to the deposit this morning and a follow-up email overnight. The transaction was upwards of 50 BTC and is now completed, thank you!

Just wondering...
What would be the easiest way to open an xcoin wallet?
Sorry, I don't understand? Do you mean a Dash wallet? And do you want a full / self contained wallet with the entire blockchain (2.5 GB) or a light wallet? And if you're going to send a lot of money to it, please consider using a full wallet, syncing it, then encrypting it, saving the wallet.dat file somewhere safe on a flash drive, then sending the funds Sorry, just worried you might actually be a real newb Don't want anything to happen to you. I'm happy to guide you through whatever you need if you like oh to clarify: I have an xcoin wallet.dat from pre-dark days. I'm 90% certain there was nothing on it but better safe than sorry?

Have you started masternode from your local wallet via "masternode start-alias someAliasHere"?
Hi, thanks for your reply UdjinM6, I haven't reached the point of trying to start the masternode yet which is step 9 I think, I'm still stuck on step 7. There is some problem with sentinel connecting to the daemon or something it seems like. Can I clarify has the port changed? It used to be 9999 and is now 9998 ? Do I need to reconfigure my firewall ? I bet the guide just should be slightly updated @moocowmoo did a LOT of work to put this all together, no wonder if some steps are not quite polished yet EDIT: same issue, same solution https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/version-12-1-release.12985/#post-113033 Appreciate the help guys, but I'm not there yet, will keep going tomorrow. From TaoOfSatoshi guide looks like i need port 9999 after the IP address in dash.conf which I've put back in. Now I'm trying to remote start the masternode using "masternode start-missing <passphrase>" in the local debug console but its not working says "Error: Please enter the wallet passphrase with walletpassphrase first. (code -13)" I fixed that by manually unlocking my wallet first from the tools menu

Litecoin seems to be pegging to bitcoin almost exactly point for point... I wonder when the floodgates will open as people realize it isn't 'silver' just because of a gray pallete.

I've read a few of these threads in this section over the last few weeks and I've discovered that every anon coin is a scam and every one is technically superior to all others. Thanks for the information guys. Not NavajoCoin!

Question:
Let's say Dash passes Litecoin and is fighting for 1st place with Bitcoin, would it help or hurt Dash if it forks away from Bitcoin and become it's own separate coin?
I'm a tad confused - could you rephrase? Do you mean no longer relying on Bitcoin core? I would guess that wouldn't happen since so much of the base code is standard and there isn't really a benefit to replacing stuff like older API's that are well known

I'm a long time lurker and DRK holder, got some MNs ticking away nicely....I would just like to say that I am DELIGHTED to hear the re-branding news.
That is all.
I am increasingly happy about it as well. At least no one can say it's a boring life being in this coin. I like advancement and solving problems, and the branding was a huge one. More than anything it will wake people up and draw a lot of attention to the roadmap IMO. (+ I just made a tidy gain on my Monero from all the chaos, now realised ) Yeah... I missed that boat....damn good one tok. I figured I would just ride all of this out, but I guess I should buy some coins too. Another 1k USD to DRK incoming.

Again, you think Evan is just going to "give up" the Darkcoin repo on github and there's magically going to be a masternode network to power a clone? Really?
Who cares about the name of the source repository...just clone whatever he does (it's open source) and stay with the well branded name "Darkcoin" for the end-user product. This WILL split the community. And that's the point I'm most afraid of.... How is that any different than someone cloning the coin right now... it won't magically create a masternode network serving as the backbone. Further, it's far more probable precautions will be taken to make sure there is a stale period on the Darkcoin name. This WILL split the community. And that's the point I'm most afraid of.... I agree - The "Well branded" aspect only exists with a very, very small group of users in the grand scheme of things, and most of them keep track of ongoing developments. There will also undoubtedly be a storm of users making absolute sure that any 'knockoff' is immediately discredited before it could take hold. Just saying you're "Darkcoin" doesn't make you Darkcoin, or Xcoin, or Dash, or w/e. The development team and core philosophy has to be there.

If the re-branding is going to coincide with a shift away from anonymity I think the DASH dev knows something we don't, perhaps some flaw not yet disclosed to general public was discovered which is so fatal to anonymity that only re-purposing and re-braning the whole project makes sense.
Is that what you're hoping for every night when you go to sleep? If only that big evil Darkcoin went away then my moneros would make me rich. Clearly. Sounds like a bunch of petulant children caring about their 'investment' beyond all else. In the grand scheme of things, Evan and team are trying to build an actual virtual currency to be utilized by all, not just focused on an "anonymity" niche. If that were the case then why even bother with InstantTX? Over the years and in public perception, branding matters.

I propose to follow the advice Andreas Antonopoulos gave to the Canada's Senate Committee regarding the lawmakers' approach to bitcoin: "Do nothing! And let the technology grow."
Giving something a totally toxic name that stops it from growing isn't "doing nothing". Give me a break. It eludes me how such an intelligent man as yourself could have made such ridiculous arguments: "TOXIC NAME" If it was a " totally toxic name" for the last 12 months why you're in it? "STOPPED GROWTH" November 6th 2014
Darkcoin Marketcap $9,629,205 Total Masternode # 1147 Darkcoin Talk Members 1,853 Price in BTC 0.00521446 Price in USD $1.82 March 4th, 2015Darkcoin Marketcap $19,097,420 ( 98.33% growth) Total Masternode # 2261 ( 22.01% growth) Darkcoin Talk Members 2,434 ( 114.56% growth) Price in BTC 0.01330801 ( 155.21% growth) Price in USD $3.60 ( 97.80% growth) Tell me, please, how this totally toxic name has stopped Darkcoin's growth? Per Fernando, Tao, and others "Some big payment processor and exchanges we have approached have repeatedly complained about the name. This doesn't mean they will adopt us straight away, but we would be making it easier for them."

I'd hope for a slow burn or small hops than a massive increase - it's really nice to have some stable upward mobility setting a new solid floor each time then to worry about a ton of speculators pulling out for no good reason other than missing their return.

We're doing wine slogans?
"Red or White, they both go good with something Dark"

Those questions are mostly speculation based on "vague feelings" of how something "may" be broken without anything concrete behind it. Darkcointalk would be a much better utilization of your time if you would like a serious reply.

Darkcoin Development Appreciation - Crowd Funding ExerciseOver the last few months I've realised how much hard work goes into development and testing by the Dark team and prominent members of the community. In many cases, lots of personal time and financial resources are contributed to the development and infrastructure of this project and at times, it can be a thankless job. I'm running a crowd funding exercise for 1 week, as follows: 8th November 2014 - 15th November 2014DRK Donation Address: Xcd1fuEWooU8QAHDQnpnapqkF9ri8KopNjAt the end of the week, I will be sending the funds to Evan Duffield (Lead Darkcoin Developer) to distribute amongst his team and the community as he sees fit. So if you would like to show your appreciation for the fantastic work that's being done within the Darkcoin project, please send the team a beer or two, I'll get the ball rolling with 25 DRK. Thank you in advance and feel free to bump this often Not to sound like you aren't trustworthy, but why not just donate directly to Evans address?

On the masternode status page with the 01-06 numbers and 'officialiponly' status, I'm green across the board except for officialiponly. Anyone have any insight?

Hey there! I was talking to Raganius (we had the intention to assemble a master node in partnership, as I cannot afford the whole 1k DRK). But we are far from reach the amount of DRK needed, so he gave me the idea to talk to you. I've visited your thread, and I would like to participate. I've got 250DRK to invest! It would be great. Please, let me know how can I participate. I'm very excited with this opportunity! Thank you! so man how mny drk you got already? i still got oly 300: decided to comlplete the 300 this weak... sold all jpc i had and boght 45 more drks (but, man, if i had gessed that jpc would skyrockt right afterwards i would have waited and to sold thm yesterday do you alredy got enough for a msternode? i need a mn! we can do it together. how about that? Hi, crip, Unfortunatelly I have only got about 200DRK myself. Far from the required 1000 I was so stupid to not have bought it at the beginning. I have mined about 70 DRK since March, and then bought 150 these two last months... I will surelly have my masternode, and if it is possible that we can be partners, great. I know that you can count on me. Anyway, there's also another good option, everyone is talking about in reddit, it's DyslexicZombei's venture: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=626715 As you've already got enought DRKs you should talk to him. I cannot afford yet even this opportunity (bored to be poor)... Sorry to hear about you JPC's... I told you not to play with gambling lol You should have a crystal ball to trade there other altcoins there... (Oh, thanks again for yor help at the ANI community! Our Android Wallet is planned for next month ) Ganbatte!! Raganius I'd also love to be notified when another round is opening up

hm? So what is your definition of a darkcoin girl?
A smart girl who can be appreciated because of his skills and who don't need to use make up and cosmetics, who don't try to manipulate the man. where did you see make up and cosmetics? I only saw CURVES, CURVY CURVES all the way!!! Also, I believe you meant to say "her skills", not "his skills"... Need source for science...
