...
Trump wasn't the one trying to get half the country fired for not taking a vaccine...

Worth repeating..

There will always be SOME substance abuse, as there will always be some in society who are criminals, and those who indulge in anti-societal behavior.

Such is the nature of human beings.

However... in any society where the common currency is degraded and subject to inflationary pressures, all manner of societal degeneration will be accelerated.
An inflated, devalued currency causes and accelerates societal breakdown and degeneration in all it's forms.

Of course the U.S.A. will suffer because of this tragic, obscene armed conflict...

EVERYONE around the planet will suffer. The only variable is the degree of suffering.

The Biden Administration does have a lot to say about the regulation of pretty much everything.  I found it very interesting that Federal Reserve chairman were quitting their jobs because of how the Biden Administration wasn't listening to their feedback about inflation and not printing massive amounts of money during this covid response.  It was clear to everyone that inflation was not only coming, but that the Biden Administration was fanning the flames instead of trying to keep runaway prices from crushing the lower and middle class.  So much so that fed chairman were leaving their jobs because they felt their role wasn't being respected and they were being made out to be scapegoats.

I would suggest the possibility that Mr. Biden has as much understanding of cryptocurrency as a 3-year-old has of astrophysics.

My bet is that anyone occupying the office in the White House receives his/her directives from the Federal Reserve.. in the form of 'strong suggestions'.

As if J. Biden has anything to say about it...
or even understands crypto.

We in the U.S.A. designed and constructed Hell.
We operate it as a business, at a nice profit.

We are beginning an expansion project this year, which will create a new, improved Hell, 5x larger, with more heat.

We are considering a 2nd Hell, much larger still, when funding has been secured. This will be called Hell South.

Something for everyone...

Human beings are the most dangerous animals on earth, and are their own worst enemy.
The sooner human beings reach extinction, the better for all other forms of life on the planet.

Government, over time, creates a population of irresponsible people, incapable of regulating their own behavior. And so government creates for itself the job of regulating behavior.

And the majority of people accept and prefer it that way.

The political process within any society will always be corrupted where you have a devalued fiat currency. There is no possibility of any other outcome.
10  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Share your story: what would you do when vaccines get mandatory? on: January 13, 2022, 11:32:40 PM
I love the word mandatory.  It allows me to show people how powerless they are in influencing my personal decisions.  As an American, it's absolutely hilarious that people think the government forcing anything on it's entire population is even a possibility.  I'm seeing all these videos out of the EU of police carting old ladies off the streets and taking them to jail for not having their paperwork on them.  All I can say is where I live that isn't even a concern...  Our supreme court wouldn't ever allow such stupidity from our leadership and if they did my local community sure wouldn't comply.  This is why we as Americans cling to our gun rights so strongly.  It's important for the government to understand they work for us, not the other way around.  Employers don't take orders from employees and the government is funded by it's citizens... At least until the liberals are able to enslave us all with universal income...

I absolutely agree..

However, the Federal government still penalizes individuals heavily via income-tax to force you to have health insurance.  The day that law was passed in 2012, the republic died.

And they now force you to report the mere possession of cryptocurrencies (assuming you are a person liable to file an income-tax form).

Here in the U.S. as of today 2022-01-13, it's a moot point.
The Supreme Court just ruled that the Federal mandate via OSHA regulation is unconstitutional

Seen on a sign today:
"If the pharmaceutical companies didn't know that the vaccine would not protect against emerging new variants of the COVID virus, then how can they be so sure that it will not cause serious health risks into the future?"

Capitalism is the unequal sharing of prosperity. Socialism is the equal sharing of misery.
13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your purpose in life. on: January 13, 2022, 04:34:54 AM
My purpose in life has been since my youth to live on my own terms.

I know now, late in life, that I will never achieve my purpose.
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you a Linux user? on: January 13, 2022, 04:22:58 AM
Kubuntu, for the past 4 years.

Go Linux and you can never go back.

With Windows or Mac, you get to use a PC.
With Linux, you own it.
15  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: hire a engineer to build me cooling system like a fridge/freezer on: January 05, 2022, 07:04:45 AM
I would consider liquid cooling.

Not immersion, but heat-sinks screwed to aluminum plates to which there is aluminum tubing brazed on the opposite side.

The cooling medium should be distilled water.

With pumps moving water through the tubing attached to the heat-sinks you can use a small fan-cooled radiator adjacent to the PC. Or, provide a small refrigeration unit and a thermostatically-controlled re-circulation valve to control the temperature at the heat-sinks.

This is how electronic equipment is cooled on navy ships, etc. where computers, radar, etc must be kept clean and dry in an equipment enclosure onboard ship.

This would have the benefit of avoiding dust-laden air being blown across your computer's electronics.
