1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Best socket 1151 motherbaord for mining with more than 4 GPUs on: October 06, 2016, 11:07:58 PM
Hi All,

I unfortunately put together a new rig using the latest intel cpu.  I didn't realize there would be so much trouble with having multiple gpus on this MSI z170a board.  However, I found out that many people are having issues with this chipset and processor combo.

Does anyone know of a good socket 1151 motherboard for mining with  4 or more gpus?

If one does exist could you post details as to what you did to get it to work with multiple gpus?

Thanks,

hi all,

I ran into this same issue, but instead of all my balance being unconfirmed, it took roughly half of it.  So I tried to repair the wallet as suggested, but after it finished, it now has marked all my balance as being unconfirmed.  Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.1 on: May 02, 2016, 06:50:31 PM
@claymore : Is it possible to use your miner on miningrigrentals?  if so could you help with the options.  I've tried multiple qtminer combinations, but so far nothing works.  according to miningrigrentals, they have a qtminer example that shows :  qtminer -s us-west01.miningrigrentals.com:3333 -u username.rignumber -G

Love all the work you've done on this miner.  Thanks!!!

I read this: https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/hashimotog
....
This algo is typically used to mine Ethereum. This section is for the GETWORK miner and related pools only. Typically this is ethminer. Attempting to use rigs from this section with stratum based pools will fail.
....

So it seems they don't support stratum, I cannot find page with your sample about qtminer.
They haven't updated their faq about the stratum side.  When you setup a Dagger-Hashimoto(S) rig, in the properties block of the rig they give an example of a qtminer command line.  That is the only place I have found an example for their stratum based dagger-hashimoto rigs.

dp
@claymore,  For mining rig rentals, the problem is that everything has to support qtminer from the miner all the way to the pool.  So when you setup the rig on miningrigrentals.com many of the pools fail.  But I got it all sorted out.  Thanks for all the hard on the miner.

Has anyone gotten the dual miner to work with miningrigrentals.com ?  I can't seem to figure out a combination that will work with it.

Hi All,

I've got an issue with my linux boxes.  I've compiled the latest code just fine, but for some reason ccminer won't connect to some pools. specifically right now it won't connect to zpool.  I keep getting "stratum_recv_line failed".  With the same config, I can connect to coinotron or nicehash, but not to zpool.  Weird thing is the compiled releases by sp_ on windows work just fine.  So the private miner works fine as well.  Anybody have some insight as to what could be going on?

Thanks,

My btc withdraw address abruptly changed on bitshourly and then my account subsequently emptied right after.
I have seen several people have had this happen on the bitshourly thread.  I'm thinking bitshourly is done.

I also had my btc withdrawal address changed and then a subsequent unscheduled withdrawal happened to that address.

I think this hyip has collapsed.

Are the api options in your sgminer turned off?  It seems to take the options, but it never opens up the port to listen on.

new version Burst-miner v1.150509
https://github.com/Blagodarenko/miner-burst/releases/download/1.150509/miner-burst-1.150509.zip

- solved memory usage issue
- parameter "UseCleanMem" did not used
- key "q" - quit/exit
- key "m" - memory cleaner
- new lib pdcurses.dll

limits:
Nonces, stagger and CacheSize must be a multiple of HDD's sector size / 64 ( 4096 by default / 64 = 64 ).
Miner's window not resizing and not scrolling.

Hey Blago,  Can this miner be used for solo mining?  I tried to set it up and it only blinks briefly and closes.
Nothing in the log file as to why it closed.  I change the mode to "pool" and the miner starts up fine, so I'm
pretty sure the config syntax is ok.  I change the mode to "solo" and it just flashes briefly, and closes"
Any ideas on how to get this to work?

Thanks,

Is it more efficient to have less larger files.  Or more smaller files?
for example, does the mine work better with 4 x 1TB files or would it work faster with  16 x 256GB files?

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: August 01, 2014, 02:34:08 AM
I seem to be getting a lot of rejects with the latest update of the code for the luffa-512 algo mining doom.  Is anyone else getting  more rejects?  It seems to happen at the higher difficulties.  When I start out at the lower difficulties, it accepts everything.  As the difficulty rises, I get more and more booooo responses.  If its only me, then it must be something I'm doing.  If others are seeing it to, maybe something in the code needs to be addressed.

Thanks,

Like the client so far.  Is there anyway to speed up the client startup?  bitmonerod starts and syncs fairly quickly,
but simplewallet always takes forever to finish syncing.  Is there a way to speed up the simplewallet startup?
I found lots of things about speeding up bitmonerod startup, but not simplewallet.

Hi All, I hope someone can point me in the right direction.  I can't seem to get djm34's or savale's fresh algo to work in linux.  Both compile fine, but neither get accepted shares.  I'm mining at supernova.cc

With djm34's code I get this

git clone https://github.com/djm34/ccminer
cd ccminer/
./autogen.sh
history | grep config
./configure --prefix=/opt/min/ccminer --with-cuda=/opt/min/cuda6
make

and run them like this

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/min/cuda6/lib64 ./ccminer -a fresh -f 256 --url stratum+tcp://fresh.suprnova.cc:5000 --user dpuser.machine1 --pass ekr489dr

Any suggestions would be great!
removing the -f 256 if you use my github (I don't know if Savale has incorporated my latest change)
Dude!!!  that was it.  Everyone kept saying "You need the -f 256"  duh!!! I should have known djm34 had already fixed that.  Roll Eyes

You're the best djm34.  Keep up the great work.
