1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MANDATORY][NEWB] NewbieCoin - Decentralized Bet WorldCup +Twin-POB+POS, GOAL!!! on: June 16, 2014, 03:04:06 AM
I just downloaded Newbiecoin and was disappointed to see that the "world cup betting" feature only allows users to bet on two teams: the winner and runner-up of the entire world up tournament. It looks like Newbiecoin is using a centralized feed fed by the developers to settle that bet - I'm not sure I would trust that and call that decentralized. Furthermore, the dice betting on Newbiecoin is reduced to only allowing users to bet on a 50/50 bet. The website newbiecoin.org is also almost exactly the same as chancecoin.com website. Adopting the chancecoin protocol or codebase is one thing, but this is a gross and blatant act of plagiarism in my opinion.

Just my two cents - this whole world cup betting thing is way overblown. XCP has an implementation of world cup betting xbet.io that functions and looks better than what Newbiecoin has in every way, but it had almost no positive effect on XCP valuation and no betting volume. You can't just make a coin with a main feature that works only for two weeks worth of world cup, does it just die after that?

Please Give some suggestions about the new betting and gambling functions added to CHA!!!

From magician:

Venetian and I are going to have a discussion about what games and betting functionality to add next, based on all the feedback we've received.
what's your favorite method of sports betting? what existing site is a good example of the style of betting Chancecoin should implement?
and for regular casino games (blackjack, roulette, pai gow, poker, etc.), which ones do you think are most important to implement?
I g2g, but if you guys get a chance to answer those questions, I'll check the responses later.

Football gambling first please!
I Agree - 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil start June 12!
If chancecoin will have an easy client this will be amazing opportunity

other from that poker is the most popular game and I personally also like blackjack (will probably be easier to implement)

(p.s: mightname where did magician say this? it's not here and not in the chancecoin chat).

Here is a new coin  with WorldCup2014 bet .

I had burned a little BTC for a trial, get some newbiecoin, wallet and bet game work fine.

+1. Why CHA no worldcup bet?

I own about 20K CHA but have mostly been a lurker on the chancecoin forum since about two months ago. It's great to see how the community has grown since then, and it seems to be really coming alive recently. I guess it's about time for me to stop watching passively on the sidelines and create an account to help with the marketing and promotion.

Btw, don't worry, I'm not selling my 20K CHA anytime soon Smiley

When do you plan to sell CHA? Did you do something bad with your old BTT? What is your old BTT name?  ;0

I will sell CHA once it trades over 1:1 with BTC. For the past twenty years I've been a fundamental investor in stocks, and recently I've started looking at the crypto-currency space. This coin is one of a few that actually have value in the long run, and it's currently very undervalued.

My old BTT name is Satoshi Nakamoto. Studyjava, how's your java studying coming along? ;0
