1  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Building Your Own ASIC Miner? Yes You Can! on: April 06, 2022, 04:52:45 AM
For short it's no, here's why

Application-specific integrated circuits, or ASICs, are circuits that are tailored to a certain application. The logic gates are connected in such a way that they can process data in a specific fashion, as the name implies. What's the best way to get them? You can't, as far as I know, because the makers haven't placed it up for sale on ebay or Amazon. Instead, they were utilised in tandem to build circuits and offer them as minors in pre-configured configurations. Is it possible for you to construct one on your own? Yes, but not in a straightforward manner! To begin, you must understand how to programme FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays). It's a semiconductor made up of Arrays of Programmable logic Gates, as the name implies.

You can programme the gates to do a certain computation if you like. (An aha256 hashcode is calculated in bitcoin). The result will be a chip that is extremely efficient in terms of power usage and cost. Then you should place an order for your chip with a business for production, for which you will have to pay a large sum of money. So, to make your order cost-effective, you need order thousands of them! So, unless you want to invest a large sum of money and start your own pool/miner firm, creating your DIY ASIC miner right now is pointless in terms of cost-benefit analysis!

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Vitalik Buterin Satoshi Nakamoto? on: April 04, 2022, 08:07:08 AM
Unlikely.

Vitalik Buterin was born in 1994, and the Bitcoin Whitepaper (which took years to build) was published in 2008, therefore he was 14 years old at the time.

Even though he's a great worker, no tween is going to spend their free time working on something like the Bitcoin protocol.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What determines the Hash Rate of GPU? on: March 18, 2022, 07:13:10 AM
It may seem a question there's a lot to it.

It's logical that different cards will have different results but sometimes you will be surprised. And other times same cards will have different results.

Because it's not just about the card

First factor : what coin you gonna mine ?

Each coin has its own algorithm for mining. Some algorithms are lighter and faster than others.

For example if you are mining Bitcoin than switched to Dogecoin the results will be different. You will see a different without changing equipments

Second factor : the state of your equipment

If you can manage the temperature of your GPU, you will have better results.

You can do that by controlling the speed of your fans.
And here's how
https://pureweb3.blogspot.com/2022/03/what-determines-hashrate-of-gpu.html

There's more factors tho it but they are minors like timing, if you joined a pool or not
You can read them here

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to determine the hashrate speed of Graphics card? on: March 18, 2022, 06:50:18 AM
This question doesn't make sense.

There's another factor this have to mention and that's the coin you gonna mine.

Different coins had different algorithms so different results.

For example of you are mining Ethereum and decided to switch to XRP, you will notice a change in Hashrate. ( Assuming you didn't change your equipments )

I don't what coin you will mine but I will give you a guideline

Method 1 : you can do that manually but I don't think that's a good way

And for additional information here's the formula
Difficult * time = Hashrate

Method 2 : you can use an online calculator, just google "coin" mining calculator like ( Bitcoin mining calculator )

Enter your info, and see the the results

All these calculators are basically the same but he's one for simplicity

Note: there's other factors that determine your Hashrate like the state of your equipment, if you joined a pool or not

Here's an article with all other factors
