1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Any dev can say he was hacked, means cryptocoins are not good investments on: June 25, 2014, 12:16:05 AM
cryptocoins are not a good investment, because any dev/creator of a coin,
can suddenly just say they were hacked, and the price of the coins
can suffer alot, which also means that investors lose alot of money too.

And dev gets away with all the money, and isn't held accountable to reimburse any of the investors?

People seem to take it for granted, that if a dev says he was hacked, then the
dev is not responsible for the losses of investors.

We would have to have laws to protect investors or buyers of the coin, and devs would have
to reimburse anyone for their losses.

We cant jut let devs get away with this. but if people are going to let devs get away with this,
then cryptocoins are not good investments then.

investors need protection from devs who say ' I was hacked ' as a way out of problems for the dev, or
maybe they were hacked. who knows, we dont really know if they truly were hacked or not.
But they can just say that any time.

But, how about, rather than force the losses onto investors, how about if we make laws that forces the losses onto the dev who says that? (then they wouldn't say that, huh )

isn't it, in fact, some kind of fault, or failure of the dev's if the dev gets hacked? Of course it is the devs fault and failure, but why should investors have to pay for the faults and failures of devs?

Evidence is suggesting that ccryptcoin(dev of cryptcoin) is actually gldcoin(original dev of goldcoin)

read my post about that at the link below:

Knowing who the perpetrator of the betrayal of trust of investors is,

will help us alot in the cryptcoin witches case.

the betrayal of trust occurred on the evening/night of the summer solstice,

june 20 or june 21, 2014

Below, is a link to the wall of shame post where bitcointalk user barabbas has some interesting warnings to let people know about certain users or coins:

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Evidence suggests that ccryptcoin is actually gldcoin original dev for Goldcoin on: June 24, 2014, 08:37:44 PM

ccryptcoin = gldcoin

ccryptcoin (dev of cryptcoin) = gldcoin (original dev for Goldcoin)

The two may be the same person.

There is also rumors that ccryptcoin is using multiple alts
to make it appear as though there are many devs working for
ccryptcoin, when in fact he is the only dev.

Apparently Microguy booted mr/mrs gldcoin from Goldcoin,

and Microguy threatened gldcoin by the authorities to get
rid of him.

But, Microguy had to find out who gldcoin really is in the real
world, so we know we can find out who gldcoin is,

therefore we can find out who ccryptcoin is as well.

That should help us, in our case in regards to the
betrayal of trust of investors that occurred on june 20, 2014.

We need to know who the perpetrators are first of all,
and if its true that ccryptcoin is gldcoin, then that helps
us alot.

!!!IMPORANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!! (Read below) 6/20/2014

Hello everyone, I am a developer working behind the scenes with the CryptCoin development team. I have two pieces of disturbing news that was brought to my attention recently.
1) The main cryptcoin developer included a hidden block within the coin (Block 38400), that he made me aware of containing more than the entire coin count to date.
   - He offered me 15% of this block to keep quiet, but I will not be swayed by greed to commit such unethical behavior
   - I have made mindfox aware of the situation (I'm assuming he wasn't aware before) and he has decided to leave the development team.
   - Due to the last point made, the development of anon send will be suspended until further notice.

2) Bribing of btc-e admins by some of pumpers in the group.
   Small snip of transcript: http://pastebin.com/Q76VrYdp
   - I think this speaks for itself, keep in mind the BTC-e administration had no idea about the hidden block

3) Because of these revelvations we have changed the github over to more reputable hands, as well as removing the bad actors from the IRC channel.

I hope the community can work past these bad actors and this doesn't mean the end for the coin!

What? Was it a git hack attack from an insider dev? or was it some hidden block?

is cryptowest a dev with cryptcoin? A user named cryptowest was in chat at cryptsy.com telling us that he was a dev of cryptcoin, and he also told us there was a git hack attack from a trusted member of the cryptcoin team? Was there a git hack attack from the trusted member? if so, what are the damages to cryptcoin?

New Update!! 6/20/2014

Rumors have been circulating that we may be being added to BTC-E soon. They are true.

Our talks with BTC-E went extremely well, they have tested the wallet on their servers and tested integration with their engine.

A hiccup is that they require a 3 digit code, they confirmed with us that we will be ok with CPT.

We are awaiting their response, they have been dealing with a large scale DDOS attack (see twitter) so there has been a small delay.

We are now awaiting their response, they said they will speak with us today.

We're very excited by the possibilty that we may be able to trade our favorite coin on our favorite exchange.

Our anon features are well underway - we are being secretive because the simplicity of the idea is beautiful and we don't want it stolen yet. It will likely be open source after release.

Hi. Are you sure cryptcoin will trade on btc-e ?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Cryptcoin Witches Sacrifice Investors On The Summer Solstice June 20, 2014 on: June 23, 2014, 02:57:06 PM
On june 20, 2014,

Cryptcoin told investors that cryptcoin was confirmed to start trading at btc-e.com shortly,
http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=618377.2080

the price of cryptcoins went over 0.002 on all exchanges except cryptsy.com where it went up only

to 0.0018

Suddenly, there was a massive dump of cryptcoins, illogically, because on good news like that, people
shouldn't be dumping like that.

Immediately after the massive dump, a user named cryptowest who told us he is a dev with crypt,
then told us about a githack attack from one of the devs with cryptcoin,
a type of mutiny from a trusted cryptcoin person.
http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=618377.2140( ccryptcoin main dev for cryptcoin telling us on main thread about git hack but making it sound nicer than cryptowest did at cryptsy.com chat )

The githack news ensured that the price of crypt would be destroyed, so investors who bought
when cryptcoin pumped shortly before this, were out alot of money.

Crypt dropped/plunged to 0.00033 and with the news of the git hack attack, investors then
may have been thinking that cryptcoin might be destroyed.

CRYPTCOIN WITCHES SACRIFICE INVESTORS ON THE SUMMER SOLSTICE JUNE 20, 2014,

TO THEIR IDOLATRIES, ABOMINATIONS AND FALSE GOD WORSHIP.

PIcture the cryptcoin people wearing black hoods at their alter, and leading investors up to the alter,
where they slaughter the investors(betraying the trust of the investors), while investors are unawares.

That is what cryptcoin did on june 20, 2014

*********************************************************************************

Below are links to the same news releases( i quoted the news releases on the cryptcoin main thread), notice how the news of trading on btc-e.com comes
before the news of the git hack attack? Also notice how the original news release about trading on
btc-e.com was released on june 21 bitcointalk time which is the summer solstice, and that was the night
of the summer solstice of 2014.
The evening/night of june 20, 2014 is the night of the summer solstice of 2014, as is any time after midnight
that night also the summer solstice of 2014.

this is where I quoted from ccryptcoin:
news release about cryptcoin going to trade at btc-e.com from ccryptcoin main dev of cryptcoin
http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=618377.3120

I also quoted from ccryptcoin at the link below when he released the news of the git hack attack mutiny
Git hack attack announcement from ccryptcoin main dev for cryptcoin

10  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: We Need an exchange with security and guarantee of no loss as traders. on: June 23, 2014, 06:29:14 AM
I cannot afford to lose any money that I invest.

I invest money to try and increase the amounts of money that I have, in order to get gains from my investments.

To be honest with you, anyone who says: 'only invest what you can afford to lose', well people should not
invest at their exchange at all, because that is a copout, showing that they are resisting any accountability
for any losses of the investors.

off-scouring all the risks involved in investing in cryptocoins at the exchange onto the investor, and not
accepting any accountability for themselves at all
, though they are perhaps the biggest money earners of
all. Exchange owners want their cake and eat it too sort of thing.

As investors, we likely need to use an exchange that allows more accountability from themselves, to try and
help and protect investors money, and to try and get back monies that are somehow wrongly lost by investors.

its not possible to have an exchange that guarantees no losses to investors though.
When investing, investors might gain or lose, its just that way.

Accountability is the issue here I think though

investors prefer if the exchange was more accountable
whereas, the exchange may prefer that each investor is accounable for their own actions completely

personally, I believe there is shared accountability involved. Its not just one or the other, but both.

Therefore, the exchange must be partially held accountable for investors losses at least some of the time,
and it cannot be that the investor is solely to blame or accountable completely for their own actions all of the time

If any of you ever go to a christian church and listen to the preachers, you will hear them tell you about
accountability.

Here is an example I want to show you, why its important to give or help others with charity.
Although most investors may be sound and more in control, I am aware that there may
be situations, occurrences or events in peoples lives which make it hard for them to control their
money, and such persons at such times might invest wantonly, losing alot of money, and wind
up going looking for charity afterwards.
Now if you have a conscience, you can see that there are times when it is wrong to take such persons
monies from them like that, but nonetheless, in the daily activities of doing business that is what
happens, and perhaps it takes all of their money from them.
In order to try somewhat to correct this imbalance requires giving to charity, and also helping the individual
persons who might ask for help in and around you in your life.
Something to consider, but do it cheerfully, and not because of necessity, but many sins will be forgiven people who give.
The Lord Loves A Cheerful Giver! Wow, to be loved by God, that is something, isn't it.

But the exchange may have an agreement people have to agree to, prior to trading on the exchange, and if the exchange insists that you must exhonorate them fully, then that agreement might be regarded as legally binding upon the investors. If that is the case, then if the exchange owners do allow accountability at all, then it is their charity towards the investors but its not binding upon them according to the agreement, but its a friendly gesture or charity I think

13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need help: How do I report a scammer/ cheater using bitcoin on: June 21, 2014, 11:36:17 PM
Hi all, I am totally new to this so bear with me.

My overseas friend's facebook account got hacked and the hacker used her account to communicate with me, pretending to be her and asked for my help to purchase bitcoin as the seller located in my country does not accept foreign currency.  To cut a long story short, I believed that it was really my friend as we had always been communicating via FB (since sh'e based overseas) and our last conversation was just a week ago.  So I agreed to do her this 'favor'.  I purchased 5 bitcoins, which was sent into the hacker's address instead.

I've made a police report, but I would like to know if there is anywhere that I can make a report to 'bitcoin' organisations about this fraud?

Thank you!

Please tell, how did the police respond to you reporting the theft to them?

I hope you get your money back

Okay, thank you!

This is exaclty the kind of information I need Smiley

Does anyone other know some more indicators?

U may consider the following...

1. Buy rally at BTC China

2. Mt. Gox using Willy bot

I watched the trading activity at btcchina by looking
at the graphs at bitcoinity.org but I don't know if
it was really the chinese doing the buying or not

i don't know much about willy bot, so no comment there
(but I may try to read up on it a little)
