2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to get into mining on: April 27, 2022, 09:52:59 AM
Hi everyone, I would like to start mining and I was wondering if anyone uses one of these miners

https://bitcoinminer.store/ipollo-v1-mini-classic-miner-wifi-130mh-s-104w-etc-crypto-digital-currency-w-psu/

Thanks!

Hello, with buying a mining rig like this be sure you're checking all the reviews and looking at specifications from other miners to see the total potential of each rig.

If you have got the funds to purchase, high-end rigs, I would personally recommend looking at https://shop.bitmain.com/ a very trusted service in the mining community. You can also use services such as Amazon that are selling pre-used bitmain rigs.

Another suggestion is that you could initially build a rig yourself, purchase a rack/cabinet unit for your own rig can also be found via eBay, or Amazon.

Hello,

I am a newbie.  I installed Ubuntu and ran bitcoind from my user account.  After a little while, I got the following message:

I am lost as to why so much space is being used by bitcoind.  I would appreciate if someone can shed light on this.

Bitcoin Blockchain is roughly 389 gigabytes, you also have additional directories using 8GB, 2GB, and the files you may have installed, and package upgrades will eventually start to take up more and more.

You can find information about the Blockchain Size here: https://www.statista.com/statistics/647523/worldwide-bitcoin-blockchain-size/
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just maybe on: April 27, 2022, 09:44:57 AM
Maybe it makes sense that Elon Musk is trying to buy Twitter, I am not a fan but I think having more than one Crypto influencer like him isn't bad at all, I also think that if Elon acquired Twitter he can implement crypto payment and tipping on the social media platform, even DogeCoin will benefit a lot here, I am suspecting he has all this in mind, what do you think...

Elon Musk acquiring Twitter will be a huge step for Crypto Currencies, as you've mentioned, he will defiantly implement the idea of Crypto Currency as some kind of payment for ads, promotions and additional services, and yes, we will most likely see some kind of increase in doge adverts.

Decentralized Finance Crypto Exchange Uniswap Starts Blocking Addresses Linked To 'Blocked Activities'

Uniswap, one of the main decentralized finance exchanges in the cryptocurrency world, is now taking measures to ensure illegal funds cannot be transacted using its platform. The company has already started blocking addresses linked to “blocked activities” and will apply a filter with data provided by TRM Labs, a blockchain analysis firm that focuses on detecting illegal activities.

What do you think about this Step from one of the most decentralized finance exchange UniSwap?

Airticle Link:
https://news.bitcoin.com/decentralized-finance-crypto-exchange-uniswap-starts-blocking-addresses-linked-to-blocked-activities/

I think this is personally a great idea, Cryptocurrencies for many years have always had some kind of link to illegal activities, doing this will slowly prevent illegal transactions and actually help regain trust in the Crypto world, allowing countries/governments that we do not actually support illegal activities and the ability to blacklist these addresses, showing the possibility is there and can be achieved.

Personally, a lot of users will disagree with this, saying DEX should be fully decentralized and the control should be theirs, but not everyone can be pleased.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do some project developers like copying on: April 27, 2022, 09:39:04 AM
I think its a foul play if a project team that has a utility like privacy or swap tries to go metaverse and play2earn all of a sudden, why are developers of today like this? I just believe that they have accepted their failure and trying to look into what's currently trending but what they fail to see is that some projects have maintained their single use cases for years until their time comes around and things start going well,  before play 2 earn games became a big thing today few projects have been around for quick some time.

Developers a good majority will just copy ideas as they lack the innovation to deploy their own ideas, but some will copy the idea and then improve and change the style of the idea to fit their project.

But copying ideas isn't always too bad, because the next developer could expand the idea into an improvement with new ideas and logical steps that other communities could be looking for.
7  Other / Off-topic / Re: Im looking for good compfortable car asap on: April 25, 2022, 09:29:56 PM
Well I googled it and came on this website: https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/best-cars/101118/top-10-most-comfortable-cars-on-sale
Their list is this:
1. Mercedes S-Class
2. Rolls-Royce Phantom
3. Range Rover
4. BMW 7 Series
5. Bentley Mulsanne
6. Audi A8
7. BMW 5 Series
8. Bentley Bentayga
9. Audi Q7
10. Mercedes E-Class

But personally I would say you want to make a test drive before actually buying a car right? Also I think Volkswagen cars have done a lot in comfort wise. I've had a Volkswagen myself as well. Maybe you should sit in one of those as well. Just test different cars out. Before you even make a decision.
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jobs and resume sending is wrong on: April 25, 2022, 09:24:24 PM
I actually think it's useful to have your own resume. Also for yourself personally. Because it tells what you've done in your life.
I mean it's not as if your resume tells you to not get a job or whatever. Most of the times even with a resume most companies will still wanna talk to you personally, because you can't tell how someone is by his resume. But I get where you're coming from.

11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Shopping Online on: April 23, 2022, 02:39:08 PM
I basically order everything online. It's just the way it is right now. Deliveries make our lives simple, you don't have to make time to go out of your daily routine to shop for some clothes etc.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Power Or Money ? on: April 23, 2022, 02:21:12 PM
I would definitely go for money. I don't need power, all I care about is staying the way I am. And people liking me for who I am and not for what I have.

It doesn't matter how someone looks from the outside. People can put on a mask, and yet still feel all alone when they have no one around them.
I mean the best advice is to see a doctor so she can talk about it. And mostly don't force her to talk these things need to come from the person who feels this way.

They have to embrace what is bothering them, and that's the only way they can get out of it. They have to give everything a place in their mind.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Metamask iCloud backup phising scam... on: April 23, 2022, 06:48:40 AM
Quite scary, though. That the process for this was quite simple for them to obtain the funds.

I would never personally, allow another service to backup my wallet, keep the secret phase somewhere safe, and every time I wish to access the wallet, just manually re-enter each time.

Just never share your secret phase with anyone.

18  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the last movie you watched? on: April 21, 2022, 03:37:59 PM
The last movie I've watched is:

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore
I actually didn't really enjoy the first part of the movie, but I think the ending was actually pretty good so I would rate it a 7/10
19  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you living a healthy life? How? on: April 21, 2022, 03:24:06 PM
I would suggest doing a lot of things with people close to you. It will not release you from all the stress, but in that moment u won't think about the stress. And it doesn't even have to cost money. Just relax and talk maybe play a game.
20  Other / Off-topic / Re: Elon Musk is a Sissy-Bitch on: April 21, 2022, 03:16:38 PM
I legit see no use for a post like this. I mean if you don't agree with him that's fine but u can also say it in a different way.
