Thanks a lot LUCKMCFLY for your message!

A forum is on our roadmap. We will add it very soon.
2  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betfamous - sports betting contests - create your challenges - crypto stablecoin on: October 18, 2022, 05:18:24 PM
We finally added a FAQ section. This will allow a quicker summary compared to the more detailed Help Center.

Reminder: you have until the end of October to participate in the free contest and win part of the 100 USD prize pool!

Just checked your site out and I felt that the design was decent, but a lot of important information is missing(FAQ section etc) which is a major issue. Didn't face any login issues thankfully though that is another major issue.

We have a very detailed multi-language help center https://www.betfamous.com/en/support

Do you think that a FAQ is also necessary in addition?

The requirement to register and login in order to view the complete site is annoying.

We have a demo account available without registration. ("demo" button on home page)

Also, I have no idea how your team can allow consistent winners in the long-term.

We are not the counterparty (same operation as a poker site), so we have no reason to limit the winning players in the long run.

I registered, i confirmed the account and everything but when i click "sign in" it doesn't do anything at all. I even allowed popups and disabled my browser shield but nothing happens. To be honest at this point i am not comfortable using site that deals with real money but has problems with login even if i got around it somehow after this.

Is this the "sign in" button from www.betfamous.com or https://app.betfamous.com/account/login?

Have you tried it with another browser?

For any technical problem, we recommend to provide details by email to our support. This will allow us to better target the issue. Thanks

I checked the possibility of registration and subsequent login and also received an error message "Invalid credentials" tried on different browsers did not help, resetting the password also did not solve the problem. After registration, I received an email and activated my account.

It seems that you haven't confirmed your email address, that's why you can't log in.
We will change (*) the alert, to avoid confusion (as this is not a password issue).
(*) EDIT: change done on 6 october

Please contact support for this type of problem (with all your details).

Our platform has been developed from scratch, it is not a white label solution already in use. So we are aware that there must be some technical adaptations during this launch, but these free tournaments allow you to test without any risk.

"i am not comfortable using site that deals with real money but has problems with login"
"better not to deposit if you are having problems with login itself"

Just as a reminder, no deposit is required to participate in this prize pool tournament.

Regarding the login button problem, despite all our tests on several browsers, we do not have this problem.

"can you also include those blocked countries in your item 8 in your terms? Thanks."

There is no specific list.

See point 5.1
You agree that you are over 18 years old or the age of majority as determined by laws which are applicable to you, whichever age is greater. You agree to not use our services while located in Costa Rica and in any jurisdiction that prohibits the use of cryptocurrencies, or prohibits placing bets online.

Is this the normal process even if you choose a faster network to withdraw your money?
There is a time delay for processing any withdrawals to ensure that bets or challenges are properly settled.
Secondly, the transfers depend on the speed of the blockchains used.

Also, KYC is not mandatory but can still be ask later on right?
We do not require KYC, except for specific reasons for the proper functioning of our services and for legal reasons.

Honestly, I thought this is just another review site since the normal site I used to see is that, you can see the games right away and here Its hard to navigate the site honestly though this is just a betting site, we still want to see a more attractive site which we can easily understand, hope it can still be improve.

If we present our service like any other bookmaker or casino, it will not help to understand how it works. That is why we have chosen to make a presentation of the features and options on our homepage.
We have also made a support area. We will add explanatory videos.

The demo account allows you to test the site without registration. It is the best way to understand how it works.

We have decided to add as many features as possible to the platform from the start, which is why it may seem complicated to understand at first glance.

The site is completely free for those who do not want to play with their money. So there is no risk in gradually learning how to create, enter and place bets in contests.

Thank you for your suggestions and comments.

We will work on a new login page.
You can send us examples of "dynamic" login pages to our email support.

Generally speaking, if you have a problem, please contact the email support with the details, this will help us to better target where the problems may be.

Secondly it need of the kyc verification should not be the compulsory one.The time of withdrawal must be as faster then the normal casino ,it won’t take more then 24 hours.

We will highlight these points: because KYC is not mandatory. Withdrawals are processed in less than 24 hours as well.

I tried to enter the site and I can't, I did my registration but it is difficult to enter, I think they can do something else, make everything a little easier, the games are nice, but the setting is a bit complicated, it has cost me a shortly after entering, I made a request to change the password but I still haven't received the emails, I want to know if my email provider is the right one, it's gmail, but I don't know what could be happening.

For emailing, all our tests work including with Gmail.
The problem must therefore be elsewhere.
To solve it, you should provide your nickname to the support in order to check the problem.
"setting is a bit complicated": betting contests settings (room creation)? or account settings (registration, password, 2FA)?

About the demo account, everything seems to work currently. I just placed a bet. Is it a message received when you select the challenge? Or when you place a bet?

@LUCKMCFLY
For security, we use cold wallets. Hot wallets are used to manage deposits and withdrawals only, but represent only a small part of the funds.
We prefer USDC to USDT (which is more controversial).

@coinerer
Thanks, we take into account your remark about the login page.

Another thing is that the odds don't update in real-time. You have to refresh the page to get the newest odds.

It's done, we have activated the automatic update.

I think that the score should also be visible for all in-play matches even before clicking on an individual event.
There are no scores here https://app.betfamous.com/cdb/events.

Noted, we'll try to add this type of information.
12  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betfamous - sports betting contests - create your challenges - crypto stablecoin on: June 15, 2022, 11:03:59 AM
Hi, thank you for your feedback.

We have just added a "demo" button on the home page.
It is now possible to see the whole platform without opening an account.

Your home page (https://www.betfamous.com/en) reminds me more of a blog than a casino.

The subdomain www.betfamous.com is only the presentation with the support pages and the future blog.
The contests platform is independent on the subdomain app.betfamous.com for technical reasons.
13  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betfamous - sports betting contests - create your challenges - crypto stablecoin on: June 14, 2022, 08:32:40 AM
No, we are not exposed to the volatility risk of these crypto-currencies either, as deposits are automatically converted to USD.
If our clients' balance is 100 USD, it means that we have that amount in USD and not in bitcoin or Litecoin.

This of course involves trading fees (0.1%-0.2%) on these crypto-currencies used, but it gives peace of mind to the players and to us as an operator.
There is no need to worry about the volatility of cryptos.
14  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betfamous - sports betting contests - create your challenges - crypto stablecoin on: June 13, 2022, 08:02:24 AM
Contest room is empty... no contests going on?

No, there are always at least 2 contests automatically created each week by Betfamous: a free contest (ideal for testing) and a paid contest.

We need to improve the contest selection menu to make it more understandable. Because it seems that other users didn't see that you have to join the rooms before you can select the rooms in this page.
We have installed an update to solve this misunderstanding.

The main problem is like all p2p sites trading or gambling and that's liquidity.

The problem of liquidity is much more important for a classic bookmaker or a betting exchange.
You can have fun by creating a contest with a very low entry fee with your friends (or even for free). So, you don't need liquidity to enjoy the game.

Only can choose USD what happened to BTC?

Yes, all balances are converted to USD, even if a deposit is made in BTC or LTC.

Generally speaking, the vast majority of our players will not necessarily be very crypto friendly. They will not want to be exposed to crypto volatility of their balances. It will be possible to offer a crypto balance if there is a very high demand.

There is no online gambling licence in Costa Rica, but companies are allowed to operate this type of activity.

no FAQ and ToS posted on the website, etc... I hope that he will solve all those problems in a timely manner.

We don't have an FAQ, but a support centre with many articles here:
https://www.betfamous.com/en/support
However, we will probably add an FAQ if that helps.

For TOS, you have the Terms and Conditions here:
https://app.betfamous.com/user/terms-conditions

Currently, we accept Bitcoin, Litecoin, BUSD (BEP2), USDC (ERC20), USDT (ERC20), USDT (TRC20).

It is not new but a biggest challenge is sometimes, your offer won't be taken by any opponent. So you will waste your waiting time. I suggest to have golden time for such challenging event too. 24/7 is good, but in some golden time of a week, in weekend ie. the site would host special challenging event or tournament for their users. So if I don't have enough time to be active each day, I can join in weekends.

If a challenge has a long enough duration (like the free and paid weekly challenges we automatically create), this is not a problem. There is no direct counterparty like on a betting exchange, where the number of players is crucial.

We will also run special challenges with boosted prizes for big events like the football world cup at the end of the year. As this will take place over several weeks, there is no problem with players being available to place their bets during this challenge format.

When creating a challenge for a short period of time (e.g. limited to one day or one match [in live for instance]), it is advisable to make arrangements in advance to ensure that other participants are also available. The chat and the internal messaging system allow this... social networks...etc
17  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betfamous - sports betting contests - create your challenges - crypto stablecoin on: June 10, 2022, 12:58:51 PM
Yes, we are using an Ethereum testnet (unfortunately currently too expensive with the main Ethereum network). It seems to be reliable. If not, we will move to another blockchain.

We store the full string of the bet placed and do an MD5 hash (so we don't see the details of the bets as soon as the players are placed). But the hashing allows to prove that no data is modified. If a single character is changed, the MD5 will be completely different. It is possible to check manually with the online MD5 hash tools, if the string matches.

This way you can be sure that we do not participate in tournaments and change the results to our advantage before the bets are settled to win prizes in future public competitions.

Thank you all very much for your feedback! It will help us to improve.

The platform has just been launched, and we still have a lot to do indeed.

We have prioritized the technical aspect for the moment (configurations, scalability, stability of the services used...etc), so that the platform is as stable as possible for a comfortable use.

The presentation, the addition of menus, the addition of a blog and the design will be improved as we go along.

Free access is important in order to create the largest possible community and large-scale competitions with prizes that we will offer (so you can win without having to deposit anything).

However, note that one of the interests of this system is that you can create your own private room. The number of active users in this type of game does not matter.
For example, Mr. X with the nickname ("Bob") creates a private room on the Nations League football matches. He invites his cousin Mr Z with nickname ("John"). He provides him with the PIN code to access the room.

This is anonymous, as publicly nobody knows who "Bob" and who "John" are in real life (apart from Mr X and Mr Y who know each other of course).
During the Nations League matches, Bob and John will be able to bet in-play and chat with each other in their private room chat.

Once the competition is over, they will be able to share the link publicly (social networks, etc...) to show the standings and who is the best bettor.

Kind regards,
Betfamous

Thanks Apocollapse!

To clarify how this works, here is an example with a paid contest.

A one-week public competition with an entry fee of $5.
10 players participate (= $50 pot)

The operator's commission is 5% ($2.5).
The payout to the participants will be $47.5 net.

The contest creator can choose the redistribution mode among these 3 possibilities:

A- Standard mode:
https://app.betfamous.com/challenges/rankings
(for 10 participants, 4 paid players)
1st = 46% ($21.85)
2nd = 26% ($12.35)
3rd = 16% ($7.6)
4th = 12% ($5.7)

B- Only 1 player paid (winner wins the whole pot)
1st = 100% ($47.5)

C- All paid players
1st = 30% ($14.25)
2nd = 20% ($9.5)
3rd = 12% ($5.7)
4 = 10% ($4.75)
5 = 8% ($3.80)
6 = 6% ($2.85)
7 = 5% ($2.37)
8 = 4% ($1.9)
9 = 3% ($1.42)
10 = 2% ($0.95)

The payment of the players has no direct relation with the odds, as in a classic bookmaker or a betting exchange.
For example, even if the winner(s) of the contest have a negative bet result, they will be paid according to the pot.

Usually I get interested about the gambling site when I see there's an advantage e.g. better odds, many events, etc.

Do you think this is important for a sports betting contest too? Because you are not betting against the operator, but against the other bettors. The odds are the same for everyone.

I deposit with Bitcoin, I can't withdraw Bitcoin?
You can withdraw in BTC, LTC...

For more information, we have a support center:

KYC will only be carried out if required by law or if we suspect that multiple accounts have been created by the same player.
