1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Risks to take in marriage on: February 24, 2023, 10:13:06 PM
My mother's father divorced when I was a toddler, in mother's arms.
And I was raised by step grandparents.
My memory is still sharp enough to remember that sad time.
Mother's father already has another partner as well as another child..
My life is tossing and turning without direction
Jealous of my friends and the happiness of a small child, invites the sadness back..
Father and mother, I just need your love, like my friend.
So far, I've never gotten it.
Now my father is gone forever, look at your son, father, now I am an adult and can find food for myself without your love.
Without you I can be independent, now my father has gone forever back to God's side.
But hatred for you makes me furious and I want to destroy everything around me.

And now, from the experience above, I always try to avoid divorce because it will affect the child's mentality.
yeah you're right these are one of the risk we should take , because of experience and it's good you took that decision decisions , because we aren't going to treat our kids and wife's or husband's the way we were treated too,

Marriage is something you need to know before you get to it and you need to understand that your life will never be the same when you will marry the girl you love because when that happens, you gonna do everything to make her happy and comfortable. You just need to consider looking for the right spouse before thinking about marriage and you need to learn what are the criteria to become the right wife for your children. Because if you marry randomly without taking any considerations to do the tips above, then you are risking your marriage and your children's future because you might marry the wrong Man or Woman who will not care about you or your children or maybe they are abusive and you only found that out when you already married.
you're right ,marriage isn't just a mare play like other primary relationships ,its a big step people should take ,but some don't care , expectially women ,some are just too desperate to get married, and prayers should be involved too, because it's till death do us appart they always say ,it's a very serious decision to take

Could also be that older men manipulate the younger girls & in Africa there is a high number of rapes. It’s not always the case that you can try & blame young pregnancies on the girls.

Often there is a bad man behind this kind of situation.

Also in Africa contraception & birth control is not always as widely used like in First World countries.

yeah I think you're right that's why I said let's talk on the matter 😊

Sincerely I don't really think the first two reasons you stated is why young girls get pregnant this days,
I might just want to consider the last reason and and speak about it (Lack of good parents)
Good parenting to me should not be holding your female child from going out, locking her in the room and preventing her from friends, as a parent please create a relationship with your daughter so she can be able to tell you everything at every moments, mostly for the mothers, let your daughters see you as a friend that she can tell anything at any given time,be open to your daughters always and give them the acknowledgement that you are always ready to listen to their complains in life and to give a motherly advice..

Teach your daughters everything you know about sex,so she can be cautious and have a clear knowledge about it, also tell her what she needs to know about ovulation period and otherwise,
yeah that's right, some parents don't really know what sup because of their various jobs too

And the girl that they give birth at age of 14 to 15 years it is raining that the girl rock educational background and the secondary the girl might also like country name from the parents so these are the two things that is involved because someone who is educated can not give birth at the age of 14 to 50 years because earlier pregnancy brings the ambition of girls than
yeah you're right with both parents it make things work out, female children is always scared of their fathers expectially

exactly that's why I said let's talk ,my comments or option is not all that counts ,every opinion counts ,☺️

We live in a society that if you grow older and don't have a child people will complain that you're barren as a woman and if you have a child at a younger age they'll say so many things even condemning the pregnancy. So am going to ask, how old is too early to have a child?  To me life is all about choice, as a mother, you can live a very crazy life and the daughter won't follow your footsteps, same thing as a mother who lived a calm and respectful live but the daughter goes crazy, so who's to blame here?

One of the reasons why most young girls give birth in an early age is what Huh
1- lack of education
2_poor background
3_lack of good parents

Sometimes those things mentioned above might not be the cause of early child birth like you say OP. The school a child attends might boost out some negative behavior in her especially by peer groups, things happens in school that changes a child that the parents have no idea of and a child's brain comprehend the negative behavior very fast, so I don't really think lack of education is responsible.

The poor background has the good and bad side of it, depending on how the individual manage to respond to the situation at hand, help can come from any angle and some might take advantage of the issue at hand, convince the child and sleep with her.

Parents always have 95% of child up bringing while the remaining 5% can come from the society, like if a parent don't have time with his/her child it becomes difficult for the child to Know her left from her right. In this case I believe all parents need to engage their child in sex education and other positive things of life, because is better to get those knowledge from you as a parent than getting it outside, if a child does get all these info outside, then it will be disastrous.
yes exactly, young girls are forced to having sex too,due to rape or slavery too, that's why I said we should all bring heads together and talk about it,yes I didn't mention all ,but with other points I think it's adding up too , you're very correct 😊

OP you addressed your post to Nigerians and you posted it in an international section. If your intention is to get the views of just Nigerians you should have posted it in the Nigerian Board.
I wanted to point out that when I saw this post and made my first comment yesterday,  but the fact that it is politics and society section ops may be right to have posted it here.
-But since this post is directed to the Nigerian situation as a case study, I am sure the thread will get more attention if it moved to Nigeria, the local board.
yes you're very right about that ,most parents don't give their children that time too, that's one thing all mother's should know also ,a female child is a blessing to the family but most mother's don't give their kids that time to sit them and talk to them to teach them,my both parents never thought me that too,it was my grandma that puts me through and I got to know all about it ☺️

5  Economy / Economics / Re: How we survive food shortages on: February 21, 2023, 11:08:03 AM
A very dark topic, but this is indeed the reality that is happening in underdeveloped countries and if you have read articles or seen on YouTube, one of them is Burundi. Small country with a high poverty rate.

When we talk about climate change and extreme weather, we cannot avoid it. But for some developed countries there must be a solution for that, for example gardening with the help of technology that can manipulate the weather.

But the problem is, how can these poor countries find solutions for themselves? I think the most appropriate step is for developed countries or rich countries to provide assistance to poor countries. Because poor countries have almost no way to solve their hunger problem because the economic circulation there is very limited, the exchange rate is low, and the wages of workers are also low.
That is true talk but the government
of that country have a intergral roll to play by having a good policy to help compart agriculture in that nation
6  Economy / Economics / The current situation in the country Nigeria. on: February 20, 2023, 09:59:30 PM
The hardship in Nigeria increase day by day the massive are suffering. The poor old men and women. That doesn't have access to bank are suffering. Just imagine a pregnant woman died in a hospital just because there was no cash the network was bad for transfer. Where are we going to. Our people are suffering they are dying our leaders should do something about it to me I don't think we have leaders anymore. The people we call our leaders have already failed us. Now it's time for election let's vote wisely let not suffer for 8 years again
7  Other / Off-topic / Between a male and a female who needs education?? on: February 19, 2023, 09:32:00 PM
Some will say that female children are waste of energy taking them to school .

When both children grows up tell me who gives parents more attention, such as visiting and sending money on new year and Christmas 😅😅

Some will say a female will get married and will be taken away from her home and will no longer bear the families name ,they will say a male will remain In that resident and still have the families name on his forehead 😅😅

Some will say that there is no need teaching a female child ,,how will she become a good wife material?? So you want to bring disgrace to ur self abi ??(to those who said male children are more reliable)

So let's talk more ,
8  Other / Politics & Society / Risks to take in marriage on: February 19, 2023, 09:23:50 PM
We all want a good relationship with our spouses or soulmates too .

So what are the risks we should take
1 _when a marriage is about falling ,think about the kids and how divorce will make things wrong and difficult for them
I have grown up as a young girl and has never leaved with both parents till last year when I started living with my dad ,don't you think I might have gone through alot ?? Without both parents by my side ,

If you wanna give your kids the best in life you have to endure certain attitude Ms from both ur wife/husband ,when a home is seperated only one parent can't be able to take care of all the kids even if there is supplus money and second wife or husband ,when a single mother is set to take care of all the kids because she cought her husband cheating or what have you , she leaves ,she can't be fanacially stable to take care of all ,what if na 25 kids what's gonna happen?? The kids will start sleeping outside to care for them own selves ,how can a mother of 25 take such abilities all to her self Huh

More to talk about ,let's talk
9  Other / Politics & Society / Why should we observe Every that matters about our kids on: February 19, 2023, 09:12:17 PM
There are many things happening now at many homes ,mother's should pay good attention to our kids and some certain behaviours too. Things we should be concerned about our children
1 bullied in school
2 some relatives who abuses females ,such as uncle's
3 to know when kids are comfortable with some certain things ,we should also give our kids right to compliment in some cases like kids bringing out creative acts and suggestion

So let's talk more ETC ??
10  Other / Politics & Society / The cause of early child birth on: February 19, 2023, 09:04:39 PM
My fellow Nigerians ,let's talk and discuss about our society and things happening.

One of the reasons why most young girls give birth in an early age is what Huh
1- lack of education
2_poor background
3_lack of good parents

Let me talk of number 3 ,when a woman or young lady gives birth in an early age ,she wishes that her female child should not leave the kind of life she leaved ,when her female child grows up she also gets pregnant and says she doesn't want her female child to be like her and her mother ,when her child grows up the same thing are said again ,so now what are the reasons  why it keeps happening again and again Huh

Most parents are so strict with their kids and gets upsets with everything she does ,that's not a way of handling a female child ,not that they should be giving previlages to do what ever they want but to bring them up with good morals from whaen they are small ,not with petting and petting as if they are animals like dogs and cats ,not to strict to but they say morals and good manners begins from the home .

So let's talk
11  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World population is now 8 billion. on: February 19, 2023, 08:54:07 PM
You see naturally everything has an advantage and disadvantage also ,now new mordern development says we should use preventive measures in our country, such as uses of CDs and some prescribed drugs .
Bible says children are gifts right ?? But now we lack knowledge in the sence that every one does not have access to go to school and learn about all this ,not all people are privileged to go to school ,so those left behind lack moral standards of understanding too ,when a female child lacks education what happens next ?? She starts sleeping with different men for money to sustain herself, and in the process what happens?? She gets pregnant and gives birth to many children often and often and on that's what happens.
What am I trying to say ,there are ways to stop all this premature incidents by having sopplus schools and jobs also
12  Economy / Economics / Re: How we survive food shortages on: February 19, 2023, 08:43:13 PM
Some of us are lazy and will refuse to do certain things to help ourselves, like getting involved with agriculture and savings . Most people thinks that money and other things will come like rain ,when I was living with my grandma she thought me how to farm and save too ,and it helped me alot ,in this country some of us prefare eating and spending our money in flashy things ,and when the money finish eye go clear
13  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / What is the main reason why this new money is coming on: February 19, 2023, 08:29:51 PM

16  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerians are the cause our problem on: February 19, 2023, 01:18:48 AM
Yeah we the Nigerians we we nai dea cause everything ,when we are giving opportunity to vote for the right leaders ,we end up getting bribed ,selfish leaders are just in sit to eat Nigerians money ,I thought we were the ones giving some countries light ,what happened?? Why don't we have stable light ,owners of filling station will go ahead to bribe our power supplies so that they can have more customers and make their business move ,na oyibo man clothes wea them don wear dirty nai we go carry say na ok ,wetin be ok again now ?? See my points. We want peace every body dea shout but now look anytime election comes something must happen something will happen . Me I will leave this country oo , because we are clearly the reasons why all this things are happening

19  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: 7 days to Election... Will scarcity of new naira notes affect election?? on: February 19, 2023, 12:50:02 AM
No be small thing oo,many others will be coming out to participate during the election, now that this new money is scarce and the old money na 90_10 like anything can happen ,other participants that is participating will they really have access to have enough money too?? Looking at the angle of what's about playing, our president wants to leave sit ,is this another way of making things hard and scarce for us before he leaves ?? Many homes are broken ,people crying out in pains ,I can't imagine how it would be on that very election day 😨😨😨😨may God help and protect us all ,before Jehovah witnesses and other christians will say the world is coming to an end 😥😥😥😥
20  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Scarcity of new naira notes.. POS charged me 9k to withdraw 30k... on: February 19, 2023, 12:40:15 AM
Whahala, things are really getting out of hand ,if I have like 1k in my account POS will charge 500 ,so what will others now eat or manage themselves in this country ,I saw a video on WhatsApp someone posted that many people no get joy ,a man got himself naked and crying in the bank to get his money ,other people are out there suffering, youths are making protest and some dying at the process, this system is very hard ,fear nai dea hold some people ,if na 500 be ur last money for account na still 250 you go carry withdraw, what if na 250 be the last money ?? POS attendants should also reason with others too
