1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do you think memecoin can turn into a token with utilities? on: June 12, 2024, 05:35:56 PM
hey guys, been seeing lot of threads/posts about memecoin nowadays. It has became talk of the town, especially since memecoins getting more hyped due to celebrities launching their own token and solchain has become the hub for memecoins

Now I don't really trade a lot of memecoins, except some new ones and old ones like DOGE, pepe etc. But today I saw a new memecoin on sol chain listed on Bitget and mexc already, it made me post about it becuz of what they offered on project, So this was the LAIKA token and if y'all know memecoin usually starts with a story behind it. And this one with the story of Laika, a stray dog from Moscow sent to space.

Now am not gonna bore y'all with some story, but the team of this memecoin brought a whole ecosystem and utilities for the token, like they already launched their own wallet on Apple store & google play already and they already have a metaverse game that can be played in a web browser. they also have an upcoming free-to-play mobile game soon. I think these can be considered as utilities, since it's more than just a memecoin.

so don't you think it's good to have such usecases for a memecoin like this? as giving holders more options to hold?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on Web3's decentralized GPU cloud infrastructure? on: June 10, 2024, 05:05:39 PM
I'm obsessed with researching and participating in GameFi projects - they're fun and profitable! My interest in GameFi has led me to discover many projects, and the latest one that caught my eye is Aethir. Aethir's vision is to make decentralized GPU cloud infrastructure the standard, driving innovation and accessibility in AI, gaming, and more. By creating a community-driven ecosystem, contributors are rewarded, promoting a fairer and decentralized tech landscape. While Aethir's primary focus is on cloud computing for gaming and AI, I believe the project has vast untapped potential and ample room for expansion and innovation.

Well it can be considered as great innovation though. As it enables cloud gaming platforms to offer good gaming experiences to users without the need for expensive hardware. One of the main things I read, is that it aims to address the global GPU shortage by creating accessible and efficient way to access GPU resources. Like it creates a network where users & companies with spare computing power on their GPUs can rent it out to others who need it for gaming.

Checking their recent announcement, their TGE is happening tomorrow with a few cex listings, so I guess the $ATH on bitget premarket is closing by today or tomorrow before listing. it could be an good entry to buy some ath early before official listing though.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins have you blacklisted? on: June 08, 2024, 03:57:07 AM
Has anyone blacklisted any altcoins recently?Share your blacklist! Let's help each other steer clear of trouble!

I don't know if I wanna blacklist any coins or tokens, cos you never know that once you're out. The coin starts pumping out of nowhere like it waited for me to get out lol..

But I don't like ICP anymore.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Wallet Native tokens? on: June 08, 2024, 03:52:48 AM
Despite my confusion about why Bitget created another native token besides $BGB in their ecosystem, I still participated in the Bitget Wallet campaign, got around 500+ tokens & have sold them at around $0,73.

IMO, it's a good thing to have native tokens in the wallet software, it makes a difference from other wallets. I've also read that Bitget is in a project development phase that they call an "On-chain project". It's like a big ecosystem under Bitget, and there we need $BWB as the native token.

I guess that's what benefits people using their ecosystem more often, their wallet is equipped with lots of features like Task2Get, launchpads, and etc. I wish to see it on Trust wallet but dunno why they didn't utilize or expand things like Bitget did.
Overall, yeah I would say it's still in development as they plan to increase more utilities for the token.

And my main point was that since the bwb airdrop really happened, people sold it and caused it to drop to 0.55$, just like notcoin, it's gonna be breaking its own ATH price.

(...)don't you think your 80$ investment could go like up to $2K like TWT? Please as always DYOR, this is my opinion and sharing experiences.

Yes/no

It depends on each person's decision, but in terms of investment, we make it clear that even if someone sells that token and switches to investing in another token, they can make a profit/loss. So there is no guarantee that our behavior will bring about the results we desire, just experiments until we get results.

I also sold bitcoin for less than $1000 Smiley, looking back on everything up to now, I don't regret it because at that time I needed money to spend, but that was also a lesson that helped me recognize opportunities with more crypto. So each of our journeys will tell us what and how we should act.

I fully agree, I sold my twt airdrop becuz I needed it for some important purposes so I don't regret like you. Anyway again this is just my opinion & experience. If anyone reads my post can understand and learn not to make mistake like me.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Wallet Native tokens? on: June 07, 2024, 11:43:56 AM
Another Bitget shill! If they want to promote thier exchange then why don't they start a signature campaign. Using low account and creating topics that are often like click bait they are harming themselves. This kind of marketing strategy will not help Bitget with new users.

I think you've mistaken my perception for something else.. but I recently saw this token trending on X/Twitter due to an airdrop and listing. So this reminded me of the Trust Wallet Token (TWT) airdrop, and I wanted to share my experience. Since TWT falls under the category of wallet native tokens, it made me think about others.

I used to hold Trust Wallet Token myself because of the airdrop. Now, I regret selling it too early, so I'm sharing it, so that others will learn from my mistake when considering new wallet native tokens.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Thoughts on Wallet Native tokens? on: June 07, 2024, 03:09:35 AM
So native tokens have always been part of crypto exchanges and the wallet ecosystem. It doesn't matter whatever stuff they add into utilities, the price only mattered with exchange stuff such as launchpad, launchpool and some sort of links to events & listings.

I wanna know if y'all remember that at some point, Trust wallet airdropped roughly 1,500 $TWT back in 2020, so back then it was worth 70/80$. Now if you compare the old price with the current TWT price now, 1.36$. The TWT airdrop if you could have holding, could be worth at least 2000$. But unfortunately at that time, I was a newbie and recently entered crypto, and sold it foolishly for some bucks lol.

Now if you had paid attention to twitter today, you could see many people got their BWB token airdrop recently and the token recently commenced on the bitget trading market. I see they got 100-200 BWB tokens mostly, but as it was based on collecting points and exchanging them into tokens, the point system is the trend now of many projects doing an airdrop.

The BWB price is currently around 0.71$, which I think could really go high considering more events like launchpad and exposure from project listings on wallet.
so if you bought and hold those native tokens now, unlike me selling out TWT tokens, don't you think your 80$ investment could go like up to $2K like TWT? Please as always DYOR, this is my opinion and sharing experiences.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of fake work-from-home jobs, it is a ploy to steal your crypto on: June 06, 2024, 02:40:47 PM
The scammer will message you and offer you an online job. The scammer will be receiving the money from the job and he will not later pay you anything. Or it can be a fake job but the scammer will later ask you to pay an amount of money to get more and better offer. The victim account that the scammer created for the victim on the platform would be getting credited but it is not money but just a number to deceive the victim. If the person pay the money that the scammer told him to pay, that is just how he or she has been scammed.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/fbi-crypto-scams-work-from-home-remote-working

Tell your people about this. They should avoid online scam like this one.

Once, when I was looking for work-from-home jobs, I came across a post that was hiring people for remote positions with salaries in my country's currency, not cryptocurrency. After I filled out my CV and other required information, a woman called me. I wasn't sure if she was from the company in the job post, so I asked her who she was. She was so rude that I had to hang up. I later found out through Truecaller ID that it was a scammer, lol...
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing wisely in memecoins can give you returns. on: June 05, 2024, 07:22:40 AM
Keeping patience is the worst thing anyone can do in the memecoin market. This market is not for long term. Only people are making money here are the ones who knows when to pull out there investments. So having patience will definitely backfire.

Also never research on a Memecoin at all. These coins do not have any utilities. These coins do not built anything amazing. These are gambling. So there is really nothing to research on the coin itself. You need to research on the timing to understand when to pull out your investment. That is the name of the game here!

I agree with this as well. Although I didn't mean that research. I noticed some meme coins that has been mentioned or followed by popular KOLs or main memecoin founders, there's a lot of ways to see which memecoins has potential. I am just telling my experiences that I encountered.

Also, I don't encourage anyone to hold memecoins for long-term nor advising anyone to invest, they are feel free to check it and by patience i mean to say overall crypto space..
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Investing wisely in memecoins can give you returns. on: June 04, 2024, 06:08:14 PM
I don't know if you guys noticed, but I can feel this is memecoin season already. X (formerly Twitter) is filled with tons of memecoins. I know what you are thinking, like how am I supposed to research which one is good or bad so I could invest?

This is where the research comes in. If you do research and put in the effort, you can basically find a gem that's worth investing in.

Let me give you an example of how you can find one, especially dog-themed memecoins. Check Twitter or DexScanner, and if you see a coin that's making green or the numbers are attracting you, you will want to research and find out about that token on X to see if it's connected to any links or even mentioned by Dogecoin team members. Coincidentally, today I saw a memecoin called JungleDoge in the top 60 on DexScanner as it was trending as well, and it was also mentioned by Jordan Jefferson on X, and he even follows the project's team X account. So you can already tell I have found at least one good memecoin.

Also note that, this strategy will not work all the time; crypto is unpredictable. It teaches us to be patient with anything we touch. So if you guys have any experience investing in memecoins, share it here.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Launchpads are profitable in terms of investing. on: June 03, 2024, 06:16:52 AM
~
Anyways I'm not saying launchpads are safe, they do have risks. So I suggest you to do your own research and invest responsibly. But imo launchpads offer significant potential returns and I feel they're safer than presales.

What are your thoughts on launchpads?
Don't say the phrase "THEY DO HAVE RISKS" because everything in investing has risks. Smiley
Anyway, joining in launchpads have a risk because in this way, you're like storing your asset (which is BNB or BGB) in their exchange, and we know that storing huge amounts of money in an exchange is never safe, right?

That's the risk, but if you don't care about it and you trust the exchange more than you trust others then there's no problem. At the end of the day, launchpads are profitable - for whales. For average investors? Well, it's kind of like free money because you just staked your asset on their exchange and wait to earn some free tokens. If you're a holder of either BNB or BGB, this serves as a double-purpose as you are waiting for the token to appreciate and at the same time, you are earning free tokens through these launchpads.

Overall, whether you are a whale holding huge amounts of these exchange tokens, or just an average investor who is holding small amount, you will really make profits.

I do have to mention it, though, since I don't want to be responsible for someone's losses, lol. And I agree with you that everywhere we go has some sort of risk. It doesn't mean you are safe all the time, haha.

Anyway, back to the launchpad, I was just sharing my experiences with Bitget and Binance. It's not a launchpool, though, so you can't call it "staking," at least in my opinion. For example, the current launchpad will take your BGB and give you BWB instead at the rate they record after the investment period starts.

So, in this example, if you hold the asset you receive, you might see the price go up over time with the project's ecosystem improvements. And that's entirely up to you if you wanna hold or not.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Launchpads are profitable in terms of investing. on: May 31, 2024, 08:28:05 AM
Well, I just realized, participating in launchpads isn't as hard as many people think. I used to believe that we have to go through hard procedures to buy specific tokens at a cheap rate. Well this isn't the case though.

Basically launchpads are here for a reason, why? Well people like to be as early as possible on a new project, that's why launchpad provides a way to get tokens at a cheap rate using USDT or any exchange tokens in CEX. For example if you have been seeing some projects launched on Binance Launchpad, one of the projects was ARKHAM, which was priced 0.12$ in BNB according to the 244$ in Jul 2023. Imagine now, people who invested only 1$ in BNB got roughly like 21 ARKHAM from the launchpad, and the price of ARKHAM back then was around 0.60$, so that's total 12.6 USDT. And so your profit in total is 11.6$.

You can see the 10x return here right? I also earned some good profits from Bitget launchpad, last year they had TonUP
that required BGB. So I committed 1000 BGB as it's about $655 and they just deducted only around 4.742 BGB, which is worth 3.1$ and I got 29.35 UP, and sold it at 0.83$, getting 19.19$. The profit was 16$. So can you see the calculation of how my investment profits went up at least 5x?

At least they have another one coming, $BWB launchpad. I'll be looking forward to committing some USDT or BGB again, so I would share the results with you all again.

Anyways I'm not saying launchpads are safe, they do have risks. So I suggest you to do your own research and invest responsibly. But imo launchpads offer significant potential returns and I feel they're safer than presales.

What are your thoughts on launchpads?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think projects on LayerZero will benefit once they launch? on: May 24, 2024, 05:51:30 AM
We won't know for sure if projects built on Layerzero will cook or not until when layerzero launches. The ZRO launch has to be strong as it would be used as a benchmark for other projects launching with the omni chain narrative so you could already see how Layerzero launch would be either a make or break moment for their ecosystem projects. I only just got to know about Holograph so there's very little I have to say about until the official launch goes off tomorrow.

Well LayerZero itself already have generated a healthy level of hype, neither too overblown nor underwhelming. You can see them doing a good job of balancing expectations and delivering a solid product as well as the airdrop.

So we won't know for sure how projects on LayerZero will perform until it fully launches, but I'm already optimistic about the future. Since it's very likely that they will "cook" even harder as the ecosystem continues to develop.
And actually, HLG has already launched and I just saw it is listed on Bitget, it's currently holding steady at $0.022. Maybe we can see how it goes before LayerZero launches?

They haven't confirmed that there will be an airdrop. They only announced  that they have taken a snapshot on May 1st. Those who have used their platform before that date might be eligible. If they were planning for an airdrop then they should have confirmed it by now. I haven't used the platform but I am sure the project is good and it's token value will increase as long as their user base increases.

Yeah I know they haven't officially confirmed an airdrop yet, but the snapshot on May 1st is a strong indicator that one is likely coming.

the team has hinted at a token launch in the first half of 2024 and they've publicly mentioned that their protocol was built with the capability to have a native token. And the fact that they've taken a snapshot suggests they're actively preparing for a token distribution event likely in June since they mentioned TGE is in Q2 2024.

LayerZero is a promising project with a lot of potential. Once they launch a token and continue to expand their user base, I believe their token will become increasingly valuable.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think projects on LayerZero will benefit once they launch? on: May 24, 2024, 04:38:25 AM
I don't think many people know about this airdrop because it looks new to me. And we can't judge a new project to know if it will be good or not. Most of the project that came out to be good were once criticized badly and finally they made it through to the good side of the crypto community. And the ones people think it would good for them later turn out to be good projects in the community though in any good community there are bad people also. So there is no way the bad ones can be eliminated from the ecosystem.
They also co-exist with the good ones and it is our duty to know the good ones from the bad once. And for now we will not know if the LayerZero is a good project or not but as foe me i don't trust the project yet.

Well i can say team's doing good job at least with their efforts to combat sybil attacks by introducing a sybil reporting system. You can see they're committed to a fair airdrop distribution. That's why I think this airdrop will be worth a lot because of this. They have done some cool stuff with blockchain already, so I am excited to see what they do next.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do you think projects on LayerZero will benefit once they launch? on: May 22, 2024, 05:48:32 PM
Most of you know LayerZero's airdrop is coming, and their token, ZRO will be launching soon in Q2 2024. But it's not just about the token itself, the entire ecosystem seems poised for growth. I'm wondering what LayerZero ecosytem projects are you guys watching?

So, I don't know if you guys have seen this one on LayerZero, but I've been particularly drawn to Hologram, an omnichain tokenization protocol powered by LayerZero. Asset issuers can use it to mint omnichain tokens, opening up exciting possibilities for cross-chain compatibility. Apparantly they've secured a total of $11M in a strategic round led by Andrew Kang’s Mechanism Capital and Jordi Alexander’s Selini Capital. As they are planning to use the funds to further develop its push to advance omnichain gaming.
They will also be launching tomorrow with its token $HLG on major exchanges like Bitget, GateIO, Kucoin and the fact the airdrop eligibility will be open for participants who have performed specific on-chain actions on the Holograph App and earned at least 250 XP. I am sure one of you here at least made some contribution to this project.

Anyway, I'm sure LayerZero won't disappoint us considering it's not overhyped cos I don't see them daily on Twitter timeline, maybe you can guys tell me what you think of layerzero ecosystem projects. Are you also looking into it?
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading belongs to everyone? on: May 19, 2024, 03:26:48 AM
Trading belongs to everyone, yes but only if they know how to trade properly.

Say for example, can everyone drive a car? No, because they don't even know how to switch gears or let alone turning on a car. That's why you need someone who can drive and can teach you. Similarly, you need to learn how to trade by going through Youtube videos or learning from friends.

Crypto trading is for everyone. And personally, I want more people to join in crypto and increase adoption, let's not give newbies hard time about it. Cos they know they'll have to learn to trade. They can ask questions in here and we are here to help if possible..
16  Other / Meta / Re: Should mods make a post to justify why they locked a thread? on: May 19, 2024, 03:12:56 AM
I know sometimes mods lock threads at their own discression, especially at boards where they are a local moderator. At least when s thread gets moved there's some forum notice being posted. But for locking a topic there's nothing to signify it was a moderator action.

I just think it would be a nice courtesy if mods would just add a post before locking a topic to justify why they felt it should be locked. It's good to put this info on the record for future reference. And also from what I understand, since the OP can unlock a topic locked by a mod, a post by the staff member that took the action would prevent misunderstandings.

A note would be fine by me, cos how can you find out what you did that made mods lock your thread? But nevertheless, if you know the rules of the forum, so in the first place, you wouldn't had that thread locked. Although you can find out the reason from your PMs, which is enough info to know.

Otherwise, you would DM mod and ask the reason, cos that is more communicative.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has Trading Competitions competitions led you to challenge your skills? on: May 18, 2024, 09:42:16 AM
When you don't know about trading at all, how can you even know how to cope with trading competition? You will probably just be like a novice who is handed a keyboard to play for the congregation. When I first heard about trading, although it was Forex trading, I thought it was just some simple thing I could do and make huge money with, but after I lost some money with it, I just realized that it's something you have to properly learn about the principles involved, learn about the tools to use, and learn how to develop your trading strategy. Trading is not so simple that you can know how to trade after engaging in competition. You even need trading knowledge to be able to join the competition.

I guess I didn't include that I didn't engage with real funds in my post. actually when I was participating, I was in both demo copy & future trading in competition, these things enhanced my trading proficiency and efficiency and especially because it was more like challenge with trading competition. I know in general, there is demo trading, but what makes it interesting when there is no status of you being top 50 ? I find it more engaging when there's a leaderboard or ranking system to track progress. That's what I was trying to convey.

there are many ways to learn trading, and this was just one learning experience for me. Smiley
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Has Trading Competitions competitions led you to challenge your skills? on: May 16, 2024, 11:49:55 AM
I think a lot of you traders can relate to me, ever since I joined this space in 2018, I have been struggling to make one trade or even a transaction. It doesn't matter if it was USDT p2p or anything.
I took so much time that I didn't even get to make profits that I hold but rather I lost a lot, But basically, it was my fault that I didn't really dig deep into it. Many of you are researching, checking project news, and familiarizing yourself with the charts. These three factors were not in my mind.
Years passed by, I learned to do much better than my newbie days. I gotta show my respect to all of the newbie traders here in the forum, cos I was in the same place as you and it didn't make me professional in an instant. It took me years to do what crypto traders would do to trade and make a profit

I have some friends that taught me how to trade much better, I am not sure if you guys were into trading competitions. I was partaking in some kind of annual trading competition called KCGI last year, that included demo trading & copy trading. That required my friends and me to create a team and we actually did some good trading volume in order to win rewards.
I learned that I would do demo trading and try my trades better, over time it was effective, as well as with copy trading.
There's a lot of trading competitions I joined in to get myself more into trading. I can't name them all but there was Bitget's KCGI, Binance Futures Tournament ,  WSOT by Bybit  Well of course, I didn't really care about rewards, but I once won something from Binance futures last year from doing futures copy trading.

If you guys really wanna get into them, then I think there'll be more crypto trading tournaments this year. You just have to be sensitive to announcements and have courage to participate ahah. Any experience about trading tournaments, let's hear your view.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Have you been profiting from memecoins? on: May 14, 2024, 04:02:23 PM
So this isn't just a new topic but nowadays I see that on twitter, and discord, people have been profiting from memecoins, especially on solana and some other chains.

BONK, WIF, and MYRO are prime examples of highly traded memecoins that have generated profits for investors. What's interesting is the pattern, when a new memecoin launches or builds hype, it tends to trend across X, telegram and often gets listed on major exchanges.

I recently observed this with the $FUD memecoin on the SUI network. It surged over 70% upon listing on Bitget and MEXC. Their community was actively promoting it, so I took advantage of a dip and bought some $FUD. I don't typically hold memecoins long-term, so I set a price target and monitor its performance.

I think the main game starts once you understand the strategy and plan. If you really want to make some profit with meme coins, find them on Coingecko and research. Now I'm not advising you all to do the same as me but I'm just sharing what I do when investing in meme coins.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Can iMe Lab Make Crypto on Telegram Mainstream? on: May 11, 2024, 02:19:53 PM
You guys probably know that Telegram is the go-to platform for crypto-related stuff, but one key feature it's missing is a full-fledged wallet. I know there's already a built-in wallet, but it requires KYC and only supports three assets – USDT, BTC, and TON.

But their own iME Lab app that enables you to transfer any asset across 8+ supported chains. The default chain is BNB since their LIME token is on the BSC network. They've basically integrated Binance functionality into the ecosystem. And since the app is built with the Telegram API, your privacy remains intact. Plus, you can customize it just like Telegram. Essentially, it's Telegram but with full wallet access, you can even send crypto to your contacts who also use the app.

Speaking of their token, it fuels the whole ecosystem. You can use it for premium features, governance, and even gas fees for transactions. The project has already attracted most trading platforms such as Bitget, Uniswap, and MEXC, which is pretty impressive.

I haven't seen any other developers try something like this with Telegram. The idea of having full wallet access within Telegram and being able to send crypto to friends is pretty cool. What do you guys think? Is this a project with potential?
