Hello!

We are in the need to contact Bitmit user "David" from India. Unfortunately we are not able to reach him by email but we have a phone number.

Is there a Indian user available who wants to help us and give him a call to his Indian number/or send a letter to him? Of course you will get a tiny bounty for that.

Thanks

A user profile  would help,

What's the message?

I will pm you with details.

@tosaki: This is strange... why don't you sell the site to interested parties?

Don't let BitMit go!

we may sell the script but not the whole site+domain itself but first i want to see all orders and withdraws completed. if there are any news I will post it here.

Please be informed that we have an urgent Power Maintenance in our Datacenter Network.
I read all your posts. The next days I will fix the mentioned bugs and make the Bitmit listings more cleaner by canceling the items from sellers who were not on the site for about 4 weeks.

Wait. What ?

Was bitmit sold afterall ?

No Bitmit is gone for good. Thats a 1year old quote but who is user "masterlogin"!?

does anyone has any contact information about the admin? we need to contact him because of his bitmit account

They're probably trying to cash in a bit of extra profit without getting their heads beheaded since BitMit failed to sell.

that sounds about right. It is disappointing to as I offered to buy it.
Was their fee lower before? There are more sites that used this tx fee... but most of them have lowered it. It just doesn't make sense... but yeah, they're making money.

We send some mails by accident to users of already completed orders. However there are still some unfinished orders in the system. We are trying to reach everyone who has still funds in its account and will also be available after the shutdown if an disappeared user comes back. The fee has always been like that but if you have a very small btc amount in your btc wallet we can refund it to you.

SO does this mean you are closing for good with no new owner?

What will happen to my bitcoins stuck in escrow?

We recommended to do a 50/50 split because we cannot determine who of you is in right but the other party is not accepting this yet.

I placed order #77 on Nov 10, based upon your apparently good forum.reputation. I've received nothing but the order ack. No response to my email on Dec 9 via your website "contact us" page. bitcoinCoffee@tormail.com bounces.

I tracked down the old owner on IRC, and he just cheerfully refunded my purchase.

The new owner should be posting shortly to confirm the shop remains in operation.

More to follow in saddambitcoin's thread.

Thanks to all who helped by response, PM, and IRC, including the new and old owners. It was a great intro to #bitcoin-otc. Nice to see a reputation system working that links to the BTC e-commerce world.

I need to get in touch with the bitcoincoffee owner. please pm me

I've been unable to reach Bitmit for several days now. I have pending refund requests that I must handle, but I can't access the site. The refunds will be done automatically in a few days, and that's not god at all.
Please try again, should work fine now.

still online but for some users it might be unreachable because of the ssl mismatch. should be fixed in some hours
13  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall - Bitcoin market place - Bitcoin auction house on: November 25, 2013, 07:28:43 AM
There is a ssl mismatch and bitmit is available only via http:// for some hours. If you try to access the site with https it wont work.

Regarding the bitstamp price: It is very fluctuating at the moment, this is the reason if the price may not be accurate
15  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall - Bitcoin market place - Bitcoin auction house on: November 05, 2013, 09:01:31 PM
Why bitmit dont update price? Why manipulating price?

https://bitcoinaverage.com/#USD  - $250.14
https://www.bitstamp.net/  - $248.87

On bitmit -
bitcoinaverage - last  - 235.88
bitstamp - last  - 231.97

Since last half an hr, no price change on bitmit.... Very strange.... Undecided Angry

exactly! i cancelled a purchase because of this price difference!
Price is up to date again. One api was down.

relisting a cancelled item does not work

"Endtime cannot be in the past"
Please adjust the end time manually until we fixed the bug.

Now, I am not able to finish payment transaction deal due to not getting confirmation email.

It says "Queued Waiting for Email confirmation " at bitcoin wallet on bitmit.net

Any update?

Thanks.
I just tested it and the email system is working fine. Please try again

We did have continuous problems with the old server. Hard disks were getting faulty and faulty again. After the last hard disk got faulty we decided to deactivate the site to prevent any data loss or data corruption.

Wallet withdraws are getting processed within one hour again.

We apologize for the down time and thank you for your support!

Update
Now you can use your item ID a life long (Provided that the item has not been deleted). We offer you the option to reactivate your canceled / inactive items. Simply click the Relist button in your sell area or navigate to the item and click edit. It does not create a new item anymore, instead it is updating the old one. If you want to relist the item with a new item id you need to click "Sell similar item".

I'm also curious about the "Restricted Content" that some users are given access too as stated in the Terms of Service. Details?

This term allows us to block some site features (like selling items) when we think that something is fishy at users side.

Also, is there really any benefit to getting verified? Do you gain special privileges?
For some type of items which cannot be protected by escrow and which have a high rate of fraud attempts (such as reversible gift cards, paypal etc) we require users to get verified.

I'm sick of people buying my items without reading the listing first. If it says i ship to the US, why do people keep buying from around the world?! Half the bitcoin community are genius, the other half, illiterate.
I just fixed this problem for you! People cannot order from you anymore if they choose a shipping address country you are not shipping to.

I purchased an item and, like an idiot, used my CampBX account to pay for it.  The seller cancelled the item and I have no idea where the 0.99428 BTC will be refunded, whether to my Bitmit account (I sure hope so) or to the address owned by CampBX.

So far it's still just sitting in this wallet:
https://blockchain.info/address/1559VdGeVxYNWePq77LR7GyvZ5pJbo3HoS

I haven't seen any funds go back to the address that the coins came from, but they're also not in my Bitmit account.

If it goes back to the CampBX wallet, I'll take it up with their support and maybe get the funds back sometime before my toddler is grown (CampBX support is extremely slow).

Can anybody shed some light on what will most likely happen?

Bitcoins will never flow from Bitmit to any wallet without a user hitting the withdraw button. If you buy without success or sell with success, you always end up with a balance in your wallet, so don't worry about bitmit sending your money to random addresses. This is not satoshi dice.
Bitcoins are always credited to your Bitmit wallet and never automatically sent back to one of the senders wallet btc address. Just check out yuor Bitmit wallet, I am sure you will find the funds there!

Currently I am updating some stuff under the hood of Bitmit. So far Bitmit is fixed to btc as the only payment method and after the checkout the invoice/order page shows all prices in btc and indeed the prices are also saved in btc. This is a limitation I want to get rid of. I believe many of us (merchants, people who need to show the bitmit invoice to customs etc) prefer to see the item currency as main one and after that the btc price incl. conversion rate on the order page. Besides of that we can easily add other payment methods as well then.

We did have some hardware related server issues. All systems are back to normal.

I want to let you know that we are currently seeking for investors in order to take Bitmit to a next & more professional level. If you are interested in investing I will add you to the mailing list and you will get notified once we are ready to talk about details.
