In my country there is also strong inflation, prices are rising every day, salaries are not keeping up with the growth of prices. I can not say that gambling is capable of acting as a protection against losses or as an investment, since the rates are also growing in monetary terms, and it turns out that you come out to approximately the same level, the best opportunity to maintain your standard of living is investing in electronic or foreign currency, since real estate and doing business are now too risky in our country with the current laws and domestic situation.
Exactly how inflation is affecting my country too but I will never use gambling as a back up and I can not advice anyone to do so, it's better to invest into Bitcoin and hold for the long duration of time that it will take Bitcoin to enter a bull season. With Bitcoin investment, the person will not lose their money but just have to be patient, not gambling where they can lose their money on the process of seeking for more. Normally as a good gambler that knows what gambling is all about would never in any way think of using gambling is back up because doing that would definitely lead you into more losses at the end of the day. It's been a while I gambled, and so a few days ago, I decided to try gambling with a few bucks to try my luck on the football simulated league. My first stake was with just $2, and I lost the whole money in a single stake, and then for fun, I decided to try out the martingale strategy (even when I know it's a bad idea) I decided to try it after all to see if the outcome might change my impression about the approach. So I made another stake with another $2 with hopes of doubling the bet and recovering my money, I still lost it, and that was $4 gone, moving forward, I staked another $4 hoping to double it, and just like that, it was gone, and then I had to run before what I hoped to be a fun ride turns into a nightmare. And once again, I had proven to myself that the martingale strategy is the worst ever.
This martingale strategy is not something a gambler would hope on because at the end of the day you end up losing all at the same time. However, that is exactly why is not advisable for a gambler to think of doubling your money in gambling because is not something to rely heavily since luck have the besic role in determining the final outcome. The risk why I will not even spend up to that amount per week in gambling is because I could lose it more than the profit and then I will end up have anxiety because I didn't intend to lose such amount. @OP, what is the difference between gambling fever and gambling addiction? From your post, I don't see any difference or any unique difference of things that have been discussed here before as a causes of addiction and how to prevent it. Both are too similar, if not the same.
Maybe OP is trying to modify the name, and obviously, I see no difference from what OP has called a gambling fever and gambling addiction, as all the listed factors or features are almost similar to those of an addicted gambler. Maybe OP should tell us what the new message he is trying to pass across is, because there is nothing new in what OP has mentioned here, as there have been lots of similar posts in the past with content similar to this thread. It's just almost the same, yeah OP is just using another term for it like in game rush, or maybe in combo you're like having a term "fever" because you're continuously hitting the combo like in gambling you're non-stop at it and hitting adrenaline rush because of thrill and excitement. Different term but same effects with gambling addiction. I am an open gambler and I don’t see why I should be shy about it but really gamble bullying is a thing and I have seen secret gamblers even bullying an open .
I will need to have my hands tied and mouth tapped before someone could bully me because of I am an open gambler.
I am a proud gambler who gamble responsible and take care of my family responsibilities without any problems. So who the hell on earth can bully me for gambling, I don't think that there's anybody because I am matured enough to do whatever I like, and take responsibility of outcome of my actions. Only underage gamblers or people who are still being fed or addicted gamblers can be bullied. According to a post I saw on X, it said the ladies should stay close to their husbands and enjoy them now because in two weeks time EPL is going to start and the mental health or state of their husbands will now start depending on what 11 people on the field do to a ball.  Exactly because it has been a while now, so this two weeks is enough for them to enjoy with their husbands and have some fun. More especially the ones that are not familiar with football this is the right time for them to do whatever thing they like with their husbands because immediately EPL start now, all their thinking would be on the players in the field Lol. Just wanted to share my recent experience because it seems like there might be big changes coming to how we gamble. As we all know, gambling in the Philippines is already widespread, and addiction has become common since it’s so easy to gamble through mobile apps. Even payment apps like GCash have added casinos to their platform, letting people bet with just a small minimum amount.
But earlier, I was surprised when I opened the app to gamble because it now required me to take a selfie before proceeding. I’m thinking this might be part of the government’s move to ensure minors can’t gamble. Do you think this is a good first step?
This isn't really a wise move because if all they require is a selfie then minors can just bypass or they would just tell someone that's older to do it for them. KYC is already there, this alone should be able to keep minors away from gambling. A lot of people say that KYC isn't what it used to be but that's not true. when you are placing a bet, do you tend to look at other people's bets? does looking at other bets make you feel more confident or more anxious about your own bets? are there any benefits into noticing which are the most famous bets? just to see which one is the favorite or you do not care and you just want to mind your own business?
There was a time that I was focusing on other bettors predictions, then at last I ended up losing my bet due to the fact that I was not yet familiar in making my own prediction. However, as is stance now I normally do my own prediction and place my bet because it is only when you don't know how to make your own research that you would easily depend on someone prediction, without that gambling is more better when you make your own research and bet on them. |
